A Pocketful of Stampin’ Up! Love

This week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO299) offers a round or square card layout.  I opted for a 5″ square card and really enjoyed experimenting with the different elements of the design.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • I did a spirited happy dance when I realized I could use the Stampin’ Up! Hexagon Punch to create a little pocket!  I’ll share a 1 Minute to “WOW!” video with details tomorrow plus another handy trick using the punch.

  • I heat embossed the “stitched” stamp from Six-Sided Sampler with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  To finish off the “pocket,” I added a tiny scallop border.

  • Yummy!  The new Stampin’ Up! 3/4″ Chevron Ribbon is so rich in Crushed Curry.  There are a dozen colors to choose from.

  • One of the color combinations in the new Stampin’ Up! 2013-2014 Annual Catalog that immediately caught my eye was from Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper (Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate and Whisper White).  I used Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana with dash of the Eastern Elegance paper.
