Ready for a fun and fabulous joy-fold card?  A joyfold card is simply two intersecting cards.

My base card began
with an 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Pool Party card stock which was
scored with my Stampin’ Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 5 1/2″.  The
smaller card was cut to 8″ x 3″ and scored at 4″.  I love our Stampin’ Trimmer (126889) for projects like this, don’t you?  Fit them together and voila!PoolStarfruitLimeade

My color inspiration was from the palette above, provided by the Pals Paper Arts Resident Artists.  Check out what the rest of the PPA team has dreamed up with these colors and play along HERE!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Paper Piercing around the butterflies is simple and adds an enormous WOW! factor.  The butterfly template is part of the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack.  Don’t forget the Stampin’ Pierce Mat for the perfect piercing platform.

  1. Searched for “joy-fold” on Mary’s site and found correct details in several earlier posts using this fold. She also gives a link to Splitcoast for original idea.

  2. I too think there is something wrong with the measurements. I hope Mary will let us know soon, love this style.

  4. Oh my, what a gorgeous card!!! But Richard you are right there is something wrong with the measurements. Not only would a 4X4 card be square but it would be only 1/8″ from top and bottom edge of a card 4.25″ tall. I’m sure Mary will clarify the measurments for all of us once she returns from Figi.

  7. oooooooh, I should’ve paid more attention in math class. Mary, you say the inside card is 8″x4″, folded on at 4″. Shouldn’t that make a square? I know I’m missing something here…
