Sweet Handmade Cards from Friends

IMG_7638-001
I love receiving handmade cards as much as making them.  The card above is a thank you sent to me by Ginger Toivonen, a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals Community.  She used the chalkboard technique with perfection.  Don’t miss the coordinating snippet of Stampin’ Up! Storytime Designer Series Paper on the envelope flap!  Check out more of Ginger’s paper crafting talent on her new Ginger Stamps Blog.

The next card is from Maria Rodriguez.  It was instant medicine when I was recovering from the flu in February.  Maria is a loyal customer as well as virtual friend.  She comments on my blog posts almost every day and I cherish her kind words.  She’s a master with watercoloring and this card is no exception.  It’s a total WOW!

Please feel free to leave a comment below for Ginger or Maria.  They will appreciate your feedback on their beautiful work!

  3. These are both awesome cards. The little mice from House Mouse are a favorite of mine, the delicate watercoloring adds so much. The chalkboard effect is very realistic (I taught for 26 years, I know) and the card is super cute.

  6. Wow! Both cards are wonderful and you have many talented friends! House Mouse is pretty much to blame for my stamping addiction. They are so cute! Watercoloring is not my talent so mine never looked as wonderful as Maria’s though!

  12. Both of these cards are wonderful! Ever since I saw the Storytime DSP, I have wanted it. Since I have so much paper, I haven’t been able to justify it. Now I want it more than ever! Many people have been demonstrating the “chalkboard technique.” This card is one of my favorite examples of how it should work!!!

On the get well card, I am so impressed with the water coloring! So well done! I love the “House Mouse” mice! They are soooooo cute!

Thanks for sharing the talent of your friends!

  13. I am in absolute awe of the magnitude of talent that you attract and showcase. It is humbling for someone like me wanting to learn it all at once. Both cards show the love and detail that went into their cards made for you. Beautiful does not do the cards justice. Won’t be casing those anytime soon as I fear it will take me many cards to reach that caliber!
