Hexagons are everywhere!  Stampin’ Up! introduced the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the new Spring Catalog and to share this hot trend.  I embossed the Very Vanilla layer to create the perfect little cubbies for the colorful hexagon inserts.

YOU ARE JUST 6 SNIPS AWAY!  I used the Stampin’ Up! Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (also new in the Spring Catalog) for the playful inserts.  Experiment with pattern!  An asymmetrical grouping is part of the charm!

STAMPIN’  PRETTY TIP:  The Honeycomb Embossing Folder works as an excellent template for snipping out the hexagons.  I created a 1 Minute to WOW! Video Tutorial to show you how easy it can be to crop these little darlings!  For more tutorials, please visit my FREE Stampin’ Pretty Tutorial Library HERE!

  1. Hoping my preorder is arriving today and UPS hasn’t got clogged up in the snow 🙂 I’m itching to play with some new toys 🙂

  2. *Love* the color coordination on your card, Mary! Thanks so much for your 1 Minute to WOW! video. Makes this design easy to accomplish!

  3. Mary, you did it again! Love, Love the hexagons!…and I love the color combination. Thanks, always.

  4. You must have the patience of a saint! I love all the hexagons you cut out for your card. Very pretty!

  5. Mary, I think that is the one of the nicest blog hops that I’ve seen…everyone did a fabulous job and I’ve printed out several ideas for the future. Thank you to you as the head of the group!

  6. Love your card — and as I was looking I am thinking oh my — that must have taken for ever to cut all those out. Then when you shared how you got the pattern on the paper — I thought well isn’t she clever. Thanks for sharing your great tip.

  7. Love it! I’ve always loved hexagons and am so glad to see them popping up, especially on your card. TFS Mary!

  8. The first thing I thought when I saw this card, “wow, she actually cut those all out?!” and then I scrolled down and didn’t even have to hit play on the video to see that there were your hands with scissors ready to cut…I hope they come out with a punch for this FAST!

  9. I love the tutorial of using the Honeycomb embossing folder as a template! Great card. Thank you for crafting and sharing with us on the new hop!

  10. OKay, no more procrastinating! I need to snip those hexagons finally! Everybody’s doing it and it’s fun to look at!! Thanks, Mary!

  11. Mary, I love your video. It is a great idea for this hexagon tool. I love It. Beautiful card.
    Thank Hugs Ellen

  12. A perfect and sweet Birthday card. I love it! And thanks for the great tutorial on the hexagons. Can’t wait to try it out!

  13. When I first saw this EF, I wasn’t all that impressed. I’ve slowly changed my mind after seeing more than several cards using this EF. I’ve totally changed my mind after seeing your card! I’ve got to have this EF!!! And this is a totally WOW card for sure! 🙂

  14. Mary, I love this card! Thank you for yet another WOW video! Making hexagons is so easy to do.

  15. Fabulous card. I love the combination of the DSP and the honeycombs are great! Thanks for your wonderful video. You have such a great eye for color and design. TFS!

  16. LOVE this card and just ordered this EF yesterday! The snipping works, but I sure would love to see a punch become available at SU…hint, hint. 🙂

  17. oh my god !! I love his card, I will be getting mine on fri and I won’t be home , boo !!
I love the colors you use ,so pretty !!
Ms Mary see you in 3 day!!! YAY …..
    hugs frenchie

  18. Ditt what Tonya said…I wasn’t too keen on it either, but the more I see it, the more I like it. I was wondering about those cut outs; that’s a great idea because you won’t have to snip all of them, just a few. This is a great card Mary. Now, if Stampin’ Up! would only come out with a hexagon punch, we wouldn’t have to snip at all. Thanks for sharing.

  19. The HoneyComb Textured Folder was the first item on my New Catalog order and I am SO PLEASED with how you can EMBOSS and SNIP with this folder. Nicely done video girlfriend!

  20. LOVE this card!! The hexagon EF is also on my list of must haves. Thank you for the tutorial. Will be CASing this card as soon as I get my EF.

  21. A great WOW card, Mary! Just got my embossing folder and cannot wait to use it! Thanks for the great idea!

  22. WOW indeed Mary, this hexagon EF is totally fabulous and your tutorial on how to cut the little hexagons is great. I love this geometrical shape, there is something about it that sets it appart from other shapes. This EF is on my list of MUST HAVES, among other things. Your card is amazing, it gives the illusion of a 3D card, the cut up hexagons look like they are floating. I hope there are enough numbers of this EF to supply the ginormous demand for it. I’m getting mine!!!!!
