Jane Knudsen, today’s guest stamper and a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals, describes herself as a clean and simple with layered
paper, ribbon/twine, and button kind of gal. As a departure, she recently decided to try just a plain card with nothing added and fell in love with
it. She recreated this single layer style for you with the baby card above. Smashing!
Jane’s Baby Card Recipe:
I used the Stampin’ Up! Two by Two (126788) Noah Ark set, stamped in black on whisper
white. I used the Stampin’ Up! textured distressed plate (retired) for the
background, colored pencils, and a bit of blue chalk for the sea.
Jane sent me a second wedding card which is the essence of clean and simple. The blocked square is uber cool!
Jane’s Wedding Card Recipe:
This 5 x 5 card is inspired by a close friend who is getting married. Her colors are ivory, burgundy, and taupe. I used Very Vanilla for the card stock, sentiment and dress. I used Bravo Burgundy Ink for the stamped dress and the sentiment. I punched the circle using the 1″ punch and the Bravo Burgundy with the 2 ” circle punch. The dress I cut out and popped up. I added small pearls at the waist and large pearls around the burgundy circle of the sentiment. I offset the circles, which I cased from Mary’s Frightening Feline Halloween card. I masked off about an inch from the edges using sticky notes and sponged in the Bravo Burgundy ink for the square background. I used the
dress from the Love & Laughter stamp set (Wood-Mount 125475, Clear-Mount 125477) and the sentiment from Word Play (Wood-Mount 120308, Clear-Mount 120651)
