Today’s Halloween card combines the adorable patterns from Stampin’ Up! Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (one of My Top 10 Favorites from the Holiday Catalog) and a new Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO254).

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • EEEEEK!  That handsome little spider from Tricky Treats stamp set was heat embossed in black for a delicious shine!  Googly eyes (Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog, p. 27) add a wiggly, 3-D pop!

  • The spider’s hat was heat embossed separately in Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I clipped it with my Paper Snips and pieced it in place.   He looks so dapper!
  • The flagged end was created in a flash using a 1 3/8″ Square Punch.  Watch my previously posted video to learn how.

  • A bold, coordinating polka dot pattern (Howlstooth and Scaringbone) was added to the Very Vanilla envelope flap.

  5. Hi Kadie: I really like working with the Stampin’ Up! 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain. It’s easier to tie than our previous grosgrain . . . less futzing makes me a happy stamper! Thanks to all for your kind comments! Hugs, Mary
