Today’s project shows off a number of the retiring products, including Full of Life stamp set (images below), one of my “go to” sentiment sets for the last few years.  It also  shares a simple way to dress up a notecard and envelope.  The Stampin’ Up! Note Cards & Envelope Set comes with 20 scored 3 1/2″ x 5″ WhisperWhite cards and coordinating envelopes for $5.95.  Such a bargain and always ready to go!

A QUESTION FROM CHRIS:   What do you use to go through the holes in the buttons?  The holes seem too small for anything to go through.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIP:  Stampin’ Up! Baker’s Twine and Linen Thread go through most button holes pretty easily.  Our 1/8″ taffeta ribbon will also go through . . . however, I snip one end to a point to thread it easier.  Here’s a tutorial on this little trick.

IN A HURRY?  Try using a Uniball Signo White Gel Pen to fake a stitch!

  2. I use a needle threader to thread those tiny little bells and buttons…slick as a whistle. Funny thing, some of my “younger” stamping friends didn’t know what it was or how you to use it! Love your card!

  3. I seriously love how you stamped the sentiment in black and then came back over it and stamped your outline image in Old Olive to create a BEAUTIFUL focal image. And…the three brads just completes this whole card. OH SO PRETTY!

  4. Great ideas. I also use the dental floss with a loop on the end to thread the linen thread through my tiny buttons. Works every time.
