  10. My favorite thing is something I haven’t gotten in many years, it was an egg made out of white sugar and royal icing. Inside would be a little Easter scene. It was something my Nana would bring back or have sent from England for me. Sadly, Nana has been gone almost 10 years now. But I have the lovely memory to keep me company.

PS: I’m REALLY hoping I win this zoo set, as I just went to the Bronx Zoo with my nieces for the first time (theirs) yesterday. Happy Easter Mary!!!!

  126. Dear Mary, This is my first blog…ever !! Have to say I love your site. I found it by accident on stampin-up when looking for a group in the Port Orchard area of Washington. You are in Arizona, and my bff just bought a home in Miracopa. So I told her about you!!! Again, love what you are doing : )
Now, my easter basket (dreaming), would begin with a stampin-up doctor’s bag. It would be decorated with stampin-up ribbons and buttons. The inside would be filled with anything from stampin-up (everything makes me smile). But to make it Easter, there would be See’s Easter candy hiding inside among the fun stampin-up supplies : ) I am a San Francisco native, (5th generation) living in the great northwest. So you have to have See’s Easter Eggs!!!
I have had fun putting together my dream easter basket with you. Keep doing what you are doing. You are loved in Port Orchard, Washington.
    Sincerely, Bonnie C

  142. Hi Mary,
What a wonderful Easter treat for anyone to get. I don’t really care for the traditional Easter candy, so my favorite treat to find in my Easter basket would be an Almond Joy because the JOY would remind me of “Jesus, Others, and You.” J O Y….. Hope you have a blessed Easter Sunday and remember how Jesus gave His life on the cross of Calvary to pay for the penalty of our sins. I pray that you and others who read this have accepted His Free Gift of salvation by accepting His payment for our sins. John 3:16
    Blessings, Linda

Plus, I loved my jelly beans. But, it has been a long time since I have had an Easter basket. So, now I would probably just welcome anything at all! Chocolate is always good and I am not too picky! Maybe stamping supplies for the grown up kid in me instead of a coloring book and crayons. But, still even jacks and a ball would be fun to play with. Do they even still make them? 393. How fun!
Hands down favorite for me: Cadbury cream egg. Now my favorite chocolate is really Maison Du Chocolat, but NOTHING says Easter bunny like a good ol’ Cadbury cream egg. 🙂 And like Reese’s peanut butter cups or Oreos, there’s a proper way to consume them. 😉 You have to bite off the top (a bit like snipping open a 3-minute egg) and scoop out the cream filling (confession: I use my finger for this part, the more delicate and refined might want a spoon), then you split the chocolate shell in half at the seam and eat it slowly, savoring each bite.
It used to be that you could only get these at Easter, but this year our grocery started selling them before Valentine’s Day. Kind of took the fun of the anticipation and exclusivity out of it. Still, I look forward to having one on Easter all the same. 😀
    Have a Happy Easter!
