I reached for my Blossom Petals Builder Punch for today’s card, using it in a different way than on yesterday’s project. The Stampin’ Up! Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder gave the sunflower a gorgeous “needlepoint” texture. Very chic!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- First, I adhered both the petals and the 1 3/4″ Early Espresso Circle on the left side of the 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ Whisper White piece of card stock. I cropped the excess to get a clean edge.
- The flower and layer were run through my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine along with the Stampin’ Up! Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
- The sentiment was stamped before embossing. Good news! The Pursuit of Happiness stamp set I used (images below) will carry over to the new Stampin’ Up! 2012-2013 Annual Catalog (available June 1). Be sure to check out the Stampin’ Up! Retired Stamp List so you can grab your favorites before they retire on May 31.
- Line up brads with ease using a Paper Piercing Tool and the Stampin’ Up! Piercing Mat (part of the Mat Pack). Prefer visual instruction? Here’s a 1 Minute to WOW Video Tutorial for the details.

This card is beautiful, bright and encouraging. I just purchased 2 more embossing folders and I am going to try this technique with them.

Hello Mary: I absolutely love the way the sun flower “melts” into the white paper, so pretty and bright. Another great way to use the embossing folders.
Thank you.
Maria.
