Stampin up framelits labels big shot die joyfold card demonstrator video tutorial
They cut with precision, layer beautifully and are the hot ticket in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Mini Catalog.  The new Framelits Dies (available in Hearts and Labels collections) are easy to use with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine.  I’m willing to bet there will be many more shapes on the horizon!125598LI used the Framelits Labels Collection Dies and the coordinating Apothecary Art stamp set (also new in the Occasions Mini Catalog).

Today’s Stampin’ Pretty Video Tutorial shares the simple pathway to perfect Framelits results.

JOYFOLD CARD:  A joyfold card is simply two intersecting cards.  My base card began with an 8 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Island Indigo card stock which was scored with my Stampin’ Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 5 1/2″.  The smaller card was originally cut to 8″ x 3 1/4″ and scored at 4″

FABULOUS TIP!  Several of my Stampin’ Pretty blog readers contacted me regarding today’s tutorial.  They shared that using a sticky note to hold the die in place works as a temporary adhesive. Genius!  Thanks for the heads up, guys!

  1. Mary – this is absolutely beautiful. And since you happened to post it on my birthday, I feel like it was “meant to be”. I made my version of it using some of the Everyday Enchantment DSP and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’m planning on using it for a Valentine card, too. Thanks SO much for this and for all of the projects you post; you’re a great inspiration.

  2. I’m in love again. . .
Love this card-Island Indigo monochromatic scheme, layers, fun fold and OF course the Framelet dies and stamp set. How can it get any better? Knowing you and the Pretty Pals, it will . . .
I am a new demo doing my first workshop on Monday and may combine some of this idea with “bubble” technique I am planning to use. The card I was going to do worked for me but not necessarily for my customers. Kudos!

  4. Thanks for Sharing. I had another product from a different co. and never used them and gave them away. I also hesitated on getting SU Framlits. I am sold now and am going to get these Framlits. I always thought they were not easy to use. To bad I didn’t save the others, but alas I think SU will introduce many like the other co’s.

  7. I can’t think of any SU product that I’ve been so pleased with as these framelets. They are so easy to use and produce such a great card with hardly any effort. I plan on copying your card today. Thanks.

  8. excellent tip, Barbara. thanks for sharing. i normally don’t have much issue with keeping my framelits die in place but will give your suggestion a try. I was trying to work around a “dangling video/iphone” during the tutorial which through me a bit off balance! hugs, m

  11. Love the card, positively gorgeous! A little tip I use… to hold dies in place, adhere with a couple small pieces of removable tape.

  12. Beautiful, Mary! And this gave me an idea for a gift idea… Make up the cards, stamp up the sentiments but don’t adhere and provide the choice of sentiments and dimensionals to the recipient to use as desired… What do you think?
