My niece and her husband recently announced that they are expecting baby #2. Therefore, it was time for Great Aunt Mary (that title always makes me feel like I'm 100–LOL) to whip up a baby card to celebrate. The sentiment, "10 tiny fingers & 10 tiny toes," is perfect for the occasion! Stampin' Up! punches make the "wow" effect quick and easy.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
- Stampin' Up! Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper offers charming patterns to mix and match. Rounding opposing corners on each square softens the look.
- The Clear Bitty Buttons were adhered with Mini Glue Dots. I layered the Jewels Basic Pearls on top for a soft accent and to minimize any signs of the glue dot below the button.
- Adding the coordinating bird pattern (also Nursery Nest DSP) to the envelope flap makes the arrival of this card in the mail even more of a stand out!
SPEAKING OF BABY CARD IDEAS . . . my new on-line "Welcome Baby" class will be available Dec. 2. Stay tuned for details.

Happy Birthday! I love your card. . .and grandbaby number 5 is on the way for me in June. Time to be thinking of baby announcements and thank you cards. By the way, my order came a day early, today! And, it was raining/snowing and UPS had the box wrapped in a plastic bag. Nice!
Happy Birthday!! Great card! You never cease to amaze me!
Happy Birthday Mary! Sweet Card!
Happy Birthday, Mary! I love your blog and this card is terrific. I really like seeing how you can match the envelope to the card–so cool! Thanks for your limitless energy and creativity.
Thanks, Kadie. Yes, it’s true. It’s my birthday! See you shortly for a sticky bun at the bakery! Hugs, M
Love that it’s appropriate for either gender and not too baby-ish. Thanks again for your inspiration!
Super Sweet Card Auntie Mary – and love how the Bitty Buttons add that little “something something” to this card. Congrats on the news of a NEW ADDITION to your extended family – Babies are a JOY!
AND……HAPPY HAPPY Birthday Girlfriend! If my calculation is correct…..This has to be Birthday #29! You are an amazing friend and I wish you all the Happy Happy you can stand today!
Oh, so sweet, Mary! What a great way to use favorite DSP! And I love the itty bitty buttons with the pearls. For someone who does not have the buttons, I wonder if the bitty punches with clear sheets would give a similar look? Will experiment later (not that I don’t have the itty bitty buttons, LOL)
Is your niece someone we know? 🙂
