Pals Guest Stamper Kim C.

Green_embossing9
Let your background do the "talking."  That's exactly what Kim Czenszak did with this stunning card as today's Stampin' Pretty Pals Guest Stamper.  The layering of color over the embossed En Fran?ais background stamp is so rich and I can't seem to get enough of the new Stampin' Up! Quilted Satin Ribbon (Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog).  I'm so proud to share the artistic talent of my amazing downline (both hobby stampers and business demonstrators).

STAMPING TIPS FROM KIM:

After embossing the background stamp, I applied the ink with a sponge.  I always start the sponge off the paper and then move onto the paper.  I find this removes having a really dark spot where you first place the sponge.

I put a piece of Early Espresso cardstock underneath the sentiment and then used Stampin? Dimensionals to apply the sentiment.  This creates a nice shadow effect for the card.

  3. Very pretty! I love en francais, and with the emboss resist it’s really beautiful. Also love how she sort of did a reverse spotlight in the corner. I also really love how you feature cards done by your downline sometimes. A very nice and well deserved pat on the back for them!

  4. It great to see people using some artistic techniques with their stamping. I always enjoy trying them and seeing what the possibilities are for stretching the tools I already have. Thanks, Kim! Great job.
