The blog candy party banner is up and I have some snazzy papercrafting goodies to give away to a lucky Stampin' Pretty reader.  Simply leave me a comment at the end of this post with your favorite way to add bling to a papercrafting project.  My favorite?  I'm a huge fan of Stampin' Up! Jewels Basic Rhinestones (119246).  However, I would love to hear how YOU make your bling "sing!"  The winner will be chosen randomly.  Good luck!

  4. My favorite “bling” is the gold and silver brushed card stock. By using an outline of 1/8 to highlite your paper and stamps, you will produce phenomenal effects!

  5. Hi Mary, I, too, love the rhinestones and pearls–soooo easy to use. My other fave is 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds, especially on the snowflakes made with the Northern Frost die. They add such a festive touch to any wintery card! Thanks for your great blog and the chance to win!

  40. Oh Mary there are times when I want my rhinestones in a different color so I take one of my copics and color my SU jewels to match my project. Now my very favorite are the SU pearls. I love them and I color them the same way. I like how SU gives you several pearls and several sizes! Thanks for the opportunity to win this blog candy.

  78. I love adding Iridescent Ice or Dazzling Diamonds to my projects for that extra “bling” when it’s applicable. BUT I also absulutely love, love, love the Antique Brads! They are so versatile as an embellishment with the different vintage styles. Plus your project doesn’t necessarily have to be vintage to use them. 🙂

I just now have fallen in love with glitter- I made my Christmas Keepsake Box and dusted it with the glitter included in the kit and, oh, my! I love the effect. I can’t wait to get my hands on some dazzling diamonds though – I have seen that used a ton of times in different videos – its so shimmery!   134. My favorite way to use bling is on the center of flowers and to accent punched shapes/cut out from big shot (butterflies, flowers, etc). I use them as centers for the flowers and to add interest on embossed shapes on cards/3D projects. Your blog ROCKS!

I have a new craft room and used your idea for punch storage except I put my rods (cheap rods and hardware from a big box store)on the insides of my cabinet doors -that OCD thing again.     I also would like to know how you address some bling or pop on a masculine card. I like Cam idea of the mini cloths pin, color them or even add a bit of dp on them.

A few years ago when SU came out with buttons, I asked one of the girls if she had used any yet and she replied ” She hadn’t found anyone button worthy yet” thus the tradition was started with our group. At work yesterday, I guess ‘bling’ I was standing in the sun and my co-workers asked me, “Where’d all that glitter on your face come from”?   239. Mary, I also love Stampin Up’s rhinestones, but I most consistently use a shimmer spray to add some “zing” to my cards. Champagne Mist mixed with alcohol adds a wonderful glittery effect. A Frost White mixture adds shimmer.
