Masculine Birthday Card with Stampin’ Up! Delightful Dozen

Stampin up big shot tasteful trim die delightful dozen rubber stamp blog card idea
I haven't done a masculine card in awhile.  With some of the men in my family having birthdays in the near future, I decided to get crackin' on my "man card" stash. Click and scroll for more masculine card ideas.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up delightful dozen rubber stamps birthday card blog idea A repeat pattern in rich greens and blues works beautifully for a "handsome" look.  I used the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die and a Big Shot Die-Cut Machine to create the strips.
  • Itty bitty, cutie patootie.  The Stampin' Up! Silver Mini Brads are divine!  Need help lining up your brads?  Watch my 1 Minute to WOW Video Tutorial!
  • Popping up "Happy Birthday" in a different color gives the sentiment snappy style.
  • My artistic inspiration was bedding I saw while strolling through Crate and Barrel home store.

    1. Hi Mary, I really like this card! I was wondering though, did you leave out a color of card stock from your supply list? It looks like there are three shades of green but only two listed. Maybe it’s just my eyes, lol.

    2. Colorful yet clean, this is a great masculine card, even with the ruffled ribbon you added to the side of the sentiment! He’ll never even notice LOL! Love the color combo as well.

    5. Good morning, Mary: It’s always hard to make cards for men. They have to be pretty but without ribbons and bows and to much cuteness. This is a great card, everything about it is elegant and simple and right for a guy.
My grandson turned 11 yesterday and, believe it or not, I had a hard time making a card even for him. He is into football and race cars and I knew I couldn’t make him something with kitties or litte mice so, I used “The Open Sea” stamp set to make a card for him and it was a hit!!
Thank you for always inspiring all of us with your wonderful ideas and great color combinations. I think I will order the “Color Coach” because I often have a hard time choosing what colors go well with other colors.
      Maria.
