Tuxedo Card

SDC13161-1_by_Petal_Pusher
Today's card is one I created when I was a member of the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen design team.  At the time, I could only release my projects in their Dirty Dozen Gallery.  However, I'm now free to share and thought you might enjoy this simple 4 x 4 tuxedo card.

LOVE A DEAL?  The Basic Gray Corduroy Brads (114345) I used are retired from the catalog but currently available (while supplies last) in the Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack for just $2.99 (originally, $9.95).   Click here for Clearance Rack Discounts.

The "celebrate" sentiment is from Fundamental Phrases rubber stamp set.  The set is scheduled to retire after June 30 but you can still purchase it until then along with other Stampin' Up! Last Chance rubber stamps.  See which stamp sets are retiring and grab your favorites before they are gone!

100's of Stampin' Up! products, including punches, card stock, designer series paper and more, are available while supplies last on the Last Chance Accessories List. Select items are discounted up to 40% off!  View Updated Last Chance Accessories List.

Stampin up summer mini catalog online video class CHECK IT OUT!  My latest on-line video class is geared for both stamping hobbyists and Stampin' Up! demonstrators who enjoy learning paper crafting basics with a "wow" twist.  Click for class details.  Early bird pricing ends June 30!

Here's what Shirley H. had to say after watching the full-length tutorials for the projects on the left.  Thanks, Shirley!

This is the second tutorial I've purchased and I'm very happy with both.  You offer so much inspiration.  Can't wait to try these projects.

  2. Any idea how to tie a red satin ribbon to resemble a bow tie/so the ends don’t show? Really love this card, quick, simple and versatile.

  3. Hi Anne-Marie: Honestly, I typically write a note and don’t do a lot of “interior design.” I DO like the look of a soft amount of stamping for a background on an interior or adding a sentiment that pairs with a sentiment on the front. I’ll kick your idea around, too. Thanks. M

  7. Mary – your cards are great and I love to try and imitate what you’ve done (never looks as good as yours though). I struggle with the inside of my cards. Will you dedicate a post or two to show what you do for the inside of your cards?

  9. Hi Terri: I think the “tuxedo” could work for a masculine birthday, wedding (“for the groom”), an invitation or even a New Year’s card (or occasion). Just to brainstorm a bit. Hugs, M
