This card is a special thank you destined for Stampin' Up!  They treated me (and other qualifying demonstrators) to a recent cruise to Alaska.  They have been fabulous friends and partners as I have built my Stampin' Up! business.  Who better to receive a handmade card?

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin pretty mojo monday fun flowers big shot die The strips were cut to 7/8" wide.  There are several other patterns in the Pocketful of Posies Designer Series Paper that would also be dynamite with this layout.  It was so hard to choose from the modern mix of designs.
  • The Fun Flowers Bigz L Die (available thru the Occasions Mini Catalog Carryover List) gets quick texture by crumpling the layers.  Can it get any easier?
  • The leaves were cropped with the Build a Blossom Punch (also available thru the Occasions Mini Catalog Carryover List) and crumpled.
  • Isn't the font for the sentiments smashing?  I added the bold "hello" to the envelope for a coordinated finish.

  5. Quite impressive … I see that you use ribbon often. I seldom used ribbon – until now – when I watched your tutorial on how to attach ribbon to a card through a punched hole. I love the 1 minute tutorials.
    THANKS !!!

  6. QUICK TIP: Handmade cards are precious cargo can be like small packages to mail. To minimize “smashing” of the flower, I will be placing it in the envelope shown (likely without sealing the flap since it takes up more space) and then mailing it using a Stampin’ Up! padded envelope (116911, $2.95 for 3).
