Maybe you won't want to heap all 5 of the new In Colors on one card like I did. However, I wanted to show them off and figured a festive birthday card can handle it! I have been itching for a coral (new Calypso Coral) ever since losing Groovy Guava (get over it, right?). Island Indigo is my "new teal" and Lucky Limeade fills a void from when Kiwi Kiss retired. Pool Party is a pure aqua that I have longed for and Wisteria Wonder will meet the needs of those still grieving over the loss of Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac as part of last year's color renovation.
In the process of playing with these delicious new colors, I did a little experimenting and put together a quick 1 Minute to "WOW!" Video Tutorial for this simple this gate fold card. Enjoy!

I’m sure you could make a smaller card by just sizing down the dimensions proportionately . . . but I was shooting for something close to an A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) when finished. Thanks for asking and you kind feedback. Hugs, M
Hi Chris & Charlene: Many stampers (including me for the most part) don’t like exposed brad “legs.” They are exposed on the backside of the sentiment when you open it. I was suggesting you could cover it with card stock from the back if you prefer to hide them 🙂 Sorry for any confusion. Hugs, M
Great card, and I like this gate fold better than others I’ve seen where the sides just fold in toward the middle. May have to experiment with an added border so I can use 8.5×11 You did a wonderful job of getting all the colors on there and having a great look.

I just checked the video again and yeah, what does the covering the back side of the brad with cardstock mean? It just looks like a fun brad to me.
Wow indeed! What a great way to use up a bunch of scraps as well! The circles, I mean. Or, you could punch out other shapes like flowers and hearts. I thought the fold would be harder but by your video – I think I could make one! The cupcake is just precious and the crimping is just the icing on the cake! It could be done in all sorts of color combination even! I can’t wait to see that wisteria ribbon – it looks like so much fun to play with. In the meantime I need an anniversary card for one of our employees and I think the cupcake idea would be so fun for it! Thanks Mary!
Beautiful card Mary! Just curious about your last tip that says you can cover the back side of the brad with cardstock if you prefer. Can you explain what you mean? Its probably something simple but I’m confused.
Any way to make it work if you don’t have 12×12 cs? Love the card and the tutorial.

I love these colors together. I’m so happy that SU! has added a teal, a coral, and a green that replaces some of the colors that a lot of us miss.I love the fold design also.
