Stampin’ Up! Peeks & Card Ideas from the Cruise

SDC16826-1The vase and flowers are from a NEW stamp set, Button Buddies.

SNEAK PEEK ALERT!  I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the paper projects from the recent Stampin' Up! Alaska cruise!  There are lots of good examples using products from the currently available Summer Mini Catalog and peeks of new products from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog, too!  Note:  I did not create any of them but took plenty of photos to gather card ideas and share.

Please leave me a note at the end of this post with the stamp sets or projects you enjoyed the most.  I would love to hear.

  1. I would like to know this too – it is a beautiful card and really stood out for me too!

  2. Oh wow Mary, thanks for sharing! Now I know why Pam Morgan asked us at the Australia/New Zealand Convention in May not to share pics of the projects they showed us, a lot of them were the ones you saw on the cruise! Glad to know how many of your readers love the Button Buddies set so hopefully my customers will too. They gave that one to all of us at our Convention (how amazing is that!) and it’s so fun to play with! Can’t wait to see what you do with it (I’m assuming you’re going to get it now that so many love it!)

  3. Well, you know I love them all Mary. But if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Favor box with the doily die cut & the new punch for a border. I love that punch!

  4. My Favorites….could not choose just one. All the Button Buddies, Flitatious Specialty paper gift bag, triple punch cards, Beyond the Garden DP cards with Flower Garden Expressions folder, Blue Hello Blossoms card, Fab. Florets on vellum and creative photo corner with my fav. bird card. Good grief…I just could not stop. Sounds like an awesome trip. TFS

  5. Hi Mary,

WOW! What beautiful ideas! The vellum overlay is so soft and gives me some fun ideas. They are all great but there are so many things you can do with the Triple Layer Punch. I LOVE IT!!! So off the my room to create!

    Thanks Mary!

    Kathy Simpson :0)

  6. Just love the button cherries – so simple but fabulous. I also like the olive and pacific point flower line-up. But I’m with you – that florets on the vellum – gorgeous!

  7. Thank you so VERY much for sharing these wonderful inspirations! The one that really spoke to me was the lacy coral box with the light gold accents. The colors made it look good enough to eat!!

  8. Why isn’t anyone using the doily triple punch? I have not seen it used at all yet. It’s hard to choose a favorite just yet. . .love the samples though.

  9. Wow, what fantastic ideas. Thanks for sharing. Am looking forward to July to see all the new stuff. Button Buddies and Pennant Parade stamp sets and the Petite Pennants Builder Punch will be so versatile and fun to use. Love your blog. Provides a lot of inspiration.

  10. Pinwheels and pennants look inviting. Also, the Hello Blossoms stamp has so many “faces” – great. Love to see a new application for an old stamp, Inspired by Nature – lovely. Thanks for your generous sharing.

  11. ….thanks so much for sharing many of the projects from your cruise! I like them all, but really am impressed with all the possibilities of the Postage Stamp Punch and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.

  15. My favorites are right next to each other – I love what they did with the Inspired by Nature stamp set and the vellum vavoom!

  16. Those were all fun to look at! I’m particularly looking forward to the penant punch and the doily from the Flirtatious dp. Can’t wait! Thanks for sharing.

  17. Hi Mary – What catches my eye the most is the very first card using the doilies and the new border punch. I’m beginning to love the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch too and I can’t wait to try the Inspired By Nature with color added — have loved that stamp for a long time and must finally add that to my collection! Thanks for the inspiration.

  18. Definitely the Button Pig set (the pig is just adorable) and the Pennant set (so many fun options.) Can’t wait to see the new catalog – in total!

  19. Has anyone noticed how the In Colors always seem to reflect an ocean or water theme and colors? Just think: Cool Caribbean, Blue Bayou, Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Bermuda Bay, and, now, Pool Party.

  20. I like the Button Buddies (cute!) and the way the corner punch was used to make a lattice.

  21. I know it’s about to retire, but do you know how the Photo Corners punch is used to create that border? My favorite is the Inspired by Nature with colored flowers! Thanks for sharing ideas from the cruise!

  22. Hi Linda

Honestly, I think the person that created this card, used markers to draw these adorable flowers. Since I did not create this card, I’m not 100% certain. The stem images (in green) are from the Inspired by Nature stamp set.

    Hugs, M

  23. WOW! I really enjoyed the projects, especially the button ones using the new set, and also the ice cream cone from the pennant set (I played with mine last night and it is my new favorite set–until I play with something else!). I’m inspired to go stamp now. Thank you for sharing these wonderful projects!

  24. Button buddies…. pig is adorable. Nature set with color and the use of vellum…. I love vellum but never use it. thanks for the idea.

    Maria.

  40. Button Buddies! Love it! I also enjoyed seeing the postage stamp folded, and twisted into a pinwheel. I’m not sold on the triple punch. A good value for sure, but it’s not on my order form! Button Buddies, they’re so cute! Thanks for sharing your trip with us Mary!

  41. Oh my Gosh… Will keep this post for a long time for ideas and inspiration. Just Simply Amazing.

  42. I’m so excited to see all of these that I don’t think I can choose just one favorite. The pig with the button nose cracked me up and the “button” cherries are just plain cute. I enjoyed seeing how the photo corner punch was used in a very different way and the cards made with the triple layer flower punch are all adorable. I really cannot choose a favorite, but thank you so much for sharing all of these photos. Oh, I almost forgot the pinwheels! With twin toddler grandsons, that idea will be perfect for future projects.

  43. They are all just beautiful, but my fave is the inspired by nature with the colored flowers. What stamp was used to add the flowers – do you know?

  44. Hi Mary! Love them all…but I can’t get enough of the triple layer punch…so I’ll pick them! Thanks for sharing.
