Welcome to my new stamping space. LOL! I announced on my blog on Saturday (here's the post) that I'm in the process of revamping my stamping space to gain more counter space, storage space and pursue the the ultimate organization (at least that's the goal) of all my Stampin' Up! inks, tools, paper, ribbons and more.
However, I'm in the "awkward" stage where the previous space has evaporated (thanks to Craig's List) and a makeshift stamping spot (card table for stamping and the floor for storage) present their challenges. At least my new maple floors are in. Loving them.
My pug Isabel enjoys them, too. Meanwhile, I'm planning my paint colors, hired an electrician to move my electrical outlets (counter height) and have the cabinet order rolling. The date for cabinet/counter delivery is the second week of June. I'll be exploring options and sharing lots more organizational tidbits until then.
The big question: Will I be able to endure the chaos until then? Let's just say, I don't do well with chaos or clutter. Sasha found refuge on top of my tv cabinet when the floors were installed. She appeared more relaxed (below) when I was videotaping my new on-line class. I had to use our master bedroom when the floors were installed. I feel like a bouncing ball 🙂
SPEAKING OF MY NEW CLASS . . . I managed to set Sasha aside and get it done! Click for class details and early bird pricing!
Here's what Kathy R. had to say:
"I am particularly excited about the gift card bonus. I have young adult nieces who will love to open that! Thank you for all these wonderful ideas."

I am not positive the place you are getting your info, however great topic.
I must spend some time learning much more or understanding
more. Thanks for fantastic info I used to be looking for this information for my mission.
Your cat and dog seem to be handling the renovations quite well. Sorry to hear you’re not doing the same. I’m so anxious to see the results and I know you are too.
HAHAHA! The pics remind me of…when we all started card-making and/or scrapbooking!…So this is what it will be like when I ever get to do a makeover! Ahh, the end results will probably be spectacular, your last two makeovers were beautiful!!
Oh, how exciting!! Can’t wait to see how you organize your products. Sadly, I don’t have a scrap/stamp room. I usually use my dining room table. But, I’m taking ideas for my future room!
Good luck with the new design and can’t wait to see the new reveal! I’m still in the process of re-designing my space (it’s been two years now) so I’m anxious to finish it up for good. But the good news is that my husband is finally on board so I just need to decide on a paint color and find a desk that will work for me (at a price I’m happy with). 🙂
Oooh, a blank canvas, so many possibilities! I hope the weather stays below 100 until it’s finished!
I have three cats, only one leaps up onto my craft desk space, but he’s a good sport and knows when it’s in use he has to stay off. Although, I’m sure a cat would argue, “isn’t that why it’s call FURniture?”
Seems not long ago you shared your studio renovations and the place looked fantastic. Let’s see where you got your inspiration for the next look! And please share your storage options like you did last time! I’m sure many decisions are to be made, have patience and it will soon come to pass!
How wonderful!! Thanks for letting us see the transformation process-what fun!
Mary, I can’t wait to see your new space, and to get lots of tips and names of companies you’ve ordered cabinets from. My plan is to take an entire week off at the end of August to do my room. I started throwing out old magazines and craft items I no longer wanted yesterday…took me all day. Boy, was I beat last night! Today, my back is killing me, BUT, we stampers love our spaces. So it’s worth it. Let me know where you order all your storage units…I’m so overwhelmed at everything there is out there, it’s hard to choose! Sasha is adorable! And Isabel is SO cute !
Wow you really are starting over! It will be gorgeous – and very well organized – I am sure! Don’t forget space for a doggie bed – seems like Sasha can sleep anywhere 🙂
Oooh, not fun, but I’m sure the new space will be worth the hassle right now. LOVE your kitty! Gorgeous grey and I had to LOL at him/her lying on top of your crafting table because our cat does the same! Just have to be in the middle of things, and heaven forbid you not pay them any attention, then they sit right on what you are working on or right in front of your computer screen LOL! Can’t wait to see the finished area 🙂
Oh I envy your craft space I have but a desk a little bigger than that black table. I can’t wait to see the finished project. BTW can you tell me what that blue paint color is called and who makes it…it is absolutly beautiful
You must feel a little like a gypsy at this point! It will all be worth it in the long run! Although I don’t know how your cards could be any more amazing than they already are…even in a new space! 🙂
I don’t do well with renovations either. So I sympathize with you. I do hope it comes together quickly.
My heart goes out to you! You’ll be dis-placed for a little bit but I know you’ll have a terrific place to stamp very soon! Hope it isn’t too terrible for you. I can’t wait to see it when it’s completed! Thanks so much for being an inspiration to all! Love your cards & Love the kitty and the pug!
I was impressed with the organization of your former stamping space so I can’t wait to watch the process (and share the organizational tips :o) ) of your next one! Try not to focus on the chaos but enjoy the day-to-day progress. We will be ;o)!!
Hang in there, Mary…your last space was an inspiration to all; I know everyone is anxiously awaiting your choices for your new space. Can’t wait to see the journey’s end!
I soooooooooo need to redo my stamping room so am anxiously awaiting your pictures and organizational tips, etc. LOVE the floors…so much better than my carpet. My room is filled with “hand-me downs” from the kids moving in and out (college, etc.). Have a trundle day bed which I also use as a “work space” or “holding area” as the case may be. It’s a hoot!
I’m SURE it will be worth it! I’d love to have that kind of chaos in my studio!! Instead it’s just messy and unorganized 🙁 Maybe I’ll be inspired!
I can’t wait to see what your new room will look like, and the organizational tips you will be sharing. Your old stamping room was my dream, can’t believe you are changing already. At least Sasha will be there to help with the redo. My cat loves to help, too.
I loved your previous stamping room! I’m sure your new area will be gorgeous!
Deb, you’re right . . . you have to get through the chaos to find order . . . I can do it! Hugs, M
Whenever I get into “organization” mode, my motto is “It always gets worse before it gets better!” It sounds like the end result will be worth the disarray you have to endure during the process. Happy Stamping!
Just remember Mary, in some circles we consider cat hair & reno-dust as standard embellishments! LOL Hang in there – it will be fantastic when it’s done.
Too cute with Sasha on your table. Good luck with your stamping space. I’m Super duper excited to see the finished piece. I am sure it will be gorgeous. Just added you to my reader. Time to clean up the inbox. Hugs, J
Ahhhhhhh….how cute! Sasha, like my cats, loves to place herself right where you’re working! Thank you for the updated pet pictures. Best wishes with your renovations! I can’t wait to see the end result!
