STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up because i care rubber stamps heat embossing There's something so classy about layering White on White or Vanilla on Vanilla.  I used Very Vanilla on the focal point (including the mat below) for a faux dry embossed look.
  • Allow your heat tool to warm up for about 5 seconds before applying heat to your image.  That way the heat will start to melt the powder vs. blowing a few flecks around (that melt in annoying places) because the air is still cool.  An Embossing Buddy helps, too.
  • A single gold brad defines the corner.
  • Swap the sentiment for a bridal message.  I think the formal look of this card would be appropriate for a wedding, too.

  1. Good morning, Mary: What a beautiful card!! So elegant, classy, stunning. I think it will be totally appropriate for a wedding or, if you change the embossing powder to silver, you have a gorgeous card for a 25th. Aniversary.
Enjoy your trip and bring back lots of pictures. I hope you see a Bald Eagle in the wild, flying or perched on a tree branch. I’ve never seen one like that except on pictures and (sadly) in a zoo.
    Maria.

  9. Absolutely the height of elegance, Mary. I ADORE heat embossing – it’s what converted me from a scrapbooker to a stamper, in fact. Thanks for the tip about letting the heat gun warm up first; I’ve never heard that one before! Will definitely be employing it in the near future.
