  10. Mary I have enjoyed your blog posts since I found you years ago. I emailed you with a question and was so thrilled with the prompt and informative reply.

Being of a certain age I would love a stamp set with classic toys like metal rollerskates (and key!) ball and jacks, hula hoops or skip sticks (remember those?) classic pony-tail Barbie, record player and 45’s, coonskin caps etc.

  12. What a perfect time to say how much I admire you! I have been following your blog for a year and a half now and I just love your style, your professionalism, your dedication and your team too! I love the blog hops and I love the inspiration challenges. I love your video tips. They have helped me when planning stamp camps and workshops. I love that you post your work on splitcoast too so I can favorite them and look back and use them for inspiration when planning cards. I wouldn’t be able to come up with card ideas without you and splitcoast and all the SU! resources. I recently joined SU! as a demonstrator again after having to take some time off when my auto-immune disease got super aggressive and was in 17 joints and I sadly just couldn’t do it anymore. I have a better control over my health now, thankfully, and I have more energy and I was just missing it so much! It really helped me to be seeing all your ideas on a continuous basis. I follow a few of your pals, after seeing their work through the blog hops. Thank you, thank you for your dedication and brilliance!! It is much appreciated!

  31. Mary I love your blog so much! Your “clean and simple” stamping style is my favorite. I agree with one of the earlier comments. I also would love to see Stampin Up bring some of the previous best selling stamp sets out of retirement (anyone remember button bear?) and offer them in unmounted. I’m trying to convert my stamp sets to unmounted and honestly I have so many thaf I would rather sell some of my old sets and buy the same sets unmounted. Anyone else agree?

Hi Tracy . . . I’m a die hard clear-mount fan. I’m even converting my single stamps that only are available in wood. You post an excellent suggestion. Hugs, Mary

  64. Hi Mary! I too, share my coffee with you and check out your blog. I just love it and I’m addicted after following just a short time. I love your “Wow” tutorials and learn a lot from them. Thank you for sharing! I’d like to see some discussion on markers and blender pens or classic ink pads with blender pens. I need some major help in this area as my strokes aren’t soft enough or ball the paper. I know you should use watercolor paper, but some gals use the smooth white or vanilla with ease. Wondering, could my blender pen be too dry and used to not be able to achieve the look I want? Or is this strictly a technique problem that I need to practice with? Thanks for the chance to win! Easter blessings to you!

Hi Kelly: I’m not the “go to” on watercoloring. It’s one of my weakest points . . . I really admire those that are experts. There are excellent videos on YouTube. I haven’t had luck with non-watercolor paper (same issue with pilling). I don’t think you are doing anything wrong. Experiment and see what works best for you. Many swear by a blender pen and using a touch of ink from their classic pads. Hugs, M

Several of my friends were together just stamping away. I remember the cards were stunning, but this morning can’t remember the designs-bummer. I should have sketched them out in the middle of the night while they were still in my memory. My sketch book comes in so handy all the time when I get a quick flash, record it and then can use it at a later time.

    Hi Amber:

I keep asking for it . . . hopefully, some day. We DO carry mini envelopes for 3 x 3 cards in Whisper White (107309). I use some of the note card envelopes as templates to make my own with Designer Series Paper. However, more envelopes mean more versatility of card sizes . . . Excellent suggestion. Hugs, M

I think that instead of having a stamping event with cards for HOPE, I sill have a Simply Adorned event where we can create a locket with this on one side and a photo of our loved one on the other side. 299. I love everything. That said, I wonder if one time you and your Pals might do some samples for the young, up-and-coming stampers and card makers of the future. I have 4 grand-daughters who beg for me to make cards they can copy and we’ve gotten together about four times now to make four cards they can give to friends for birthdays, friendship, etc. The girls range in age from 5 to 11, so I have to plan things they can do and themes they would like, but here’s a chance to encourage the StampinUp customers of the future!

    Hi Karren:

Interesting idea . . . I’m going to pose this on Facebook to gather ideas on Facebook in the future. I think clean and simple makes sense along with sets that coordinate with punches (maybe better for 10 and 11 year olds than 5 year olds). Hugs, M
