Punches are a Stampin' Up! product where I show little restraint. I love the quick and crisp shapes you can create with a simple squeeze. This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA87) is to create a card using a punch or punch technique. Playing with the 1 3/8" Square Punch, I found a fun way to "peekaboo" the alligator (or is it a crocodile?) from the Long Fellows Stamp Set. Learn how to earn the Long Fellows hostess stamp set FREE.
Discover what the Pals Paper Design Team has "punched out" for you and challenge yourself to play along!
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
- Take a walk on the wild side! You could use this "peekaboo" punch technique for any long and skinny stamp. How about a long stemmed flower?
- Paper Snips quickly turned scallops into swamp grass.
- The rick rack and jumbo scallops were both created using the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die. Not in any catalog, it's still available for purchase as part of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Carryover List.
- The card opens to the alligator in his full length glory.

Love your card!!! So many clever tips, I appreciate your snippets for the marsh grass. I am going to have to CASE it, it’s right up my grandson alley!
This is so funny! I love the peekaboo window idea 🙂 How fun! Your card is great – thanks for sharing it with us!
CUTE card! I would have to say that it’s an alligator – crocodiles have very skinny snouts, while alligators have broader, more tapered snouts.
Awwwww, that’s really cute!
