Keep it simple. A sketch makes an excellent starting place for a card. It definitely cuts time off the learning curve for busy stampers. The sketch I used for today's card is from Splitcoaststampers (SC318).
Yes, it's still available! The Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die used for the rick rack can be ordered along with other favorites from the Holiday Mini Catalog Carryover List. Click for Holiday Mini Carryover List.
Don't have the Big Shot or the Tasteful Trim Die? As an alternative, the Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge Border Punch can multi-task as your rick rack making "machine." Today's 1 Minute to "WOW!" Video Tutorial shows you how. Oops: I called the punch the Scallop Trim Border Punch in the video when it should be the Scallop Edge Border Punch. I think it's an "age thing."

Thanks Mary. I know what you mean. Once you start calling it one thing, that’s it. (And yes, lots of points for consistency.) Keep up the great inspiration. I just love it.

Another great tutorial! Thank you for sharing such fantastic tips and tricks! You never cease to amaze me!
Hi Annette . . . as they say on Seinfeld, “it’s not you it’s me!” The punch SHOULD be called the Scallop Edge Border Punch. Sometimes I get the name of a product in my head the wrong way–but you have to give me points for consistency. I called it the wrong thing multiple times. LOL. Thanks for the catch. I updated my text!
Hugs, M
Great cupcake card and great video – I didn’t know you could do that with the scallop punch! Love the bitty button detail!
