Mojo 177: It’s Time for Cake!

Stampin up mojo monday a slice of life afterthoughts This week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO177) was the starting place for today's birthday card.  I took a little artistic liberty with a few elements (for example the ribbon) and had fun staying true to the challenge, too (note how the pearls on the sentiment mirror the sketch).

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up a slice of life hostess set birthday card I used my Paper Snips to navigate around the little stamped pieces for the birthday cake layers.
  • Stampin' Up! Seam Binding Ribbon is incredibly easy to "scrunch."  Sticky Strip keeps it in place.  Watch this video to see how to make your own scrunchy ribbon  in minutes.
  • Prest-o change-o.  The tall bird cage in the Stampin' Up! Aviary stamp set would be a great substitute for the birthday cake.

PALS BLOG HOP TOMORROW!  It's a Sale-A-Bration parade.  My Stampin' Pretty Pals will be strutting their stuff with papercrafts inspired by the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Promotion (a free gift with every $50 in product purchased).
