This week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO177) was the starting place for today's birthday card. I took a little artistic liberty with a few elements (for example the ribbon) and had fun staying true to the challenge, too (note how the pearls on the sentiment mirror the sketch).
DID YOU KNOW that Stampin' Up! Hostess Rewards are available with qualifying on-line orders? Click to learn more about how you can Earn Stampin' Up! Hostess and Stampin' Pretty Rewards. Both Afterthoughts (used for the sentiment) and A Slice of Life (birthday cake) are exclusively available as free hostess stamp sets.
- I used my Paper Snips to navigate around the little stamped pieces for the birthday cake layers.
- Stampin' Up! Seam Binding Ribbon is incredibly easy to "scrunch." Sticky Strip keeps it in place. Watch this video to see how to make your own scrunchy ribbon in minutes.
- Prest-o change-o. The tall bird cage in the Stampin' Up! Aviary stamp set would be a great substitute for the birthday cake.
PALS BLOG HOP TOMORROW! It's a Sale-A-Bration parade. My Stampin' Pretty Pals will be strutting their stuff with papercrafts inspired by the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Promotion (a free gift with every $50 in product purchased).
