Play in the leaves with the PPA! This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA64) is all about Fall. Pull the colors from the following photo, grab a leaf stamp or simply kick start your PPA project based on your own impression of the changing season. Check out the Design Team's challenge samples for a little autumn inspired dazzle. I have a new 1 Minute to "WOW" Video Tutorial for you, too!
A Crimper gives luscious texture to a punched strip of Poppy Parade.
A simple card doesn't need a lot of embellishing (that's what keeps it clean). However, a few dashes of "WOW" are always welcome. So dust off your Crimper and spend a moment with me in today's 1 Minute to "WOW" Video Tutorial.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
-
I love how Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait (all from the Stampin' Up! In Colors Collection) mimic the colors of the changing leaves.
- Curly Cute stamp set offers a bold sentiment that keeps this card in balance.
- Play with direction. I experimented with the direction of the leaves until my brain finally said "here's your stop, ma'am!"
- Each leaf is stamped on a 1 1/2" Whisper White square.

Very beautiful. Love the crimper comment about having to dust it off…you’re right about that one! Perfect tutorial.
What a clean, simple yet rich-looking card. Love the “crimped” border and the color combos on this Fall foliage design. Awesome video ~ loves those short tutorials!

Thanks Mary and thanks for answering the question about how you glued it down! I was wondering too! Great card and loved the video. So, you don’t need to use the punch upside down! I don’t have that one yet but you sure made it look easy to use and I love the crimping! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful job, Mary. Simple and elegant. And I love the pleated ?ribbon!?
Mike

Mary, lovely card and I love your 1 minute tutorials:)
Mary, this idea is amazing. Love these quick, but unique tips for dressing up our projects
Beautiful card Mary, I love it and your video is fabulous! Hugs,
Gorgeous card and great tutorial..
Great question! I used Mini Glue Dots (4 or 5) so I wouldn’t need to apply much pressure to the border and mess up the texture. Adhere close to one end and work your way across as you lay down the “ribbon” and adhesive. You may need to trim a tad at the final end. Hugs, Mary
Great tip! Thanks Mary.
Ter 😉
I look forward to your posts everyday! There is always something new and interesting. I’m curious how you adhere that cute little scrunchy strip to your card.

I love your WOW Videos, Mary. They are so convenient, easy, and well done! Love the card and a reason to go digging for that crimper.
What kind of adheisive did you use as to not smash it?
Everyday you are amazing. Your ideas are the best. Thanks for sharing so much.
Hugs to U.
