MOJO162 and New WOW Video

Stampin up everything nice mojo monday
Boy meets girl . . . Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Challenge this week offers you a round or square design to kickstart your next project.  I chose the square for the masculine inspired square card above and followed the lines of the round for a second feminine look below.

I used a bit more creative "liberty" on the round version.

  1. I love the punches, especially the ones that coordinate with the stamps. The tags are so neat, not to mention all the cool animals that you can make, or pumpkins.

Thanks for your nifty videos, I really enjoy them and have learned so much.

  2. Dear Mary: I can’t wait each day to see what you’ve posted for us. My favorite product is the Big Shot and all the wonderful exclusive dies available from SU.
Your training videos are the very best, and they have helped master many new techniques. Thank you your generosity in sharing with everyone

  3. Hi Mary

The cards you make are gorgeous. Love the lines and often times you show me a color combo I haven’t considered. My current favorite tool is the round tab punch. It’s so versatile.

  4. Fabulous cards Mary, I don’t have the CS yet, but I do plan on getting it… thanks for the tips and tutorial!

  5. Hi Jason: I used my hobby blade and Stampin’ Up! cutting mat (the black grid one . . . not the glass one for the Circle Scissor Plus) for the “wave.” Free hand but very easy! Hugs, M

  6. Thank you so much for showing how you use the Circle Scissor Plus. I’ve wanted one for quite some time, but have been leary of it. Your tips are wonderful!

How did you do the wavy edges on both cards? I see that design element a lot lately and wonder how to easily create that. Any tips would be wonderful!

  7. Love them both. The wavy edge is a nice variation. Great layout; great samples Mary! lj in PACKERland!

  8. Thanks Mary for the tips on using the cutter. I don’t have one but will try a friend’s and maybe in the future I would like it better. I enjoyed both cards but the masculine one really caught my eye! Thanks for sharing!

  9. To Angie: I typically use a little Dotto Adhesive (repositionable) on the back of the card stock and adhere to the glass mat. However, after doing this a number of times, the dotto has built up to a nice degree of “sticky” on the glass mat. No need to add to the card stock, too. Hugs, Mary

  10. Mary, what kind of “gunky” adhesive do you leave on your glass mat? Dotto? Temporary SNAIL? Thanks for the tips. I usually avoid my Circle Scissors Plus, but I’ll give it another try.

  11. Hi Ben: Oye! The Circle Scissor Plus has a tiny learning curve (hence the video and tips today). However, it really works! I hope it will be the final destination in the pursuit of your circle making tool! Hugs, M

  12. My purchases to achieve the perfect circles in all sizes:

    1. Fiskars Circle Cutter, one needs a microscope or jewelers glasses to read those awful unnumbered clear measurement lines inside the cutter.

    2. Curvy Cutter & Circle Cutter Template Kit, expensive since everything was ala carte and the circle template always slid.

    3. Martha Stewart Circle Cutter, big hands mean to much holding pressure, cutting tool that drags and circles that are never completely round and what good is that?

Looks like the Circle Scissors Cut may renew my interest in the perfect circle! 🙂
