STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
- Mini Glue Dots are the best way I have found to keep buttons in their place.
- A sliver of So Saffron card stock translates into a color coordinated "thread."
- The sentiment stamp I used was wood mount . . . I used a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for perfect placement.
- I embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Embossing Folder twice (once at the top and once at the bottom), leaving a smooth gap for the sentiment.
- Card size 5 1/4" square. Perfect Polka Dots Layer 4 3/4" square.
- Cutting the curve with a small pattern for an envelope flap can be tricky. I adhered the Tempting Turquoise Polka Dot Designer Paper and simply lopped off the curve for a crisp edge.

Sorry for your loss. What joy our pets bring to us.
Hi Christy:
I assume you are using the Big Shot (or comparable die cut machine) and one of our textured impressions embossing folders. If the texture isn’t as defined, try adding a piece of card stock to your sandwich . . . a touch of thickness will increase the tension and, hopefully, the texture. Hugs, M
I love the colours against the white! I am always looking for suitable sympathy card ideas. TFS
Love that beautiful flower! And the beautiful clean space for your sentiment. Thanks for the inspiration. I will be trying this technique soon! 🙂
I agree with Ann’s comments! I was so surprised to see the sentiment – as I just told Ann, I had to put my fur baby down today. A very hard decision for me. So, I feel you made this gorgeous card for me even though it is via E-mail!
How come I can never get my texture background to look like that… What am I doing wrong
Looks like I wasn’t the only one who didn’t think of separating the embossing for a sentiment. Thanks for the great tip! Such a clean and simple card ~ you’re awesome!
Your card is beautiful Mary! Thanks again for asking me to play! I had fun with the color combo.
The new starter kit bag looks beautiful!
Hugs and smiles
WOW! Is this a “IN YOUR FACE” color use or what?! Needed to use 3 colors and there they are! Great impact and love the small sentiment so understated!
Mike
Great card MAry, I have almost the same flower made in felt, might have to CASE this card to use it!!!
Mary another gorgeous card and the color combination is great. A fabulous idea to emboss twice leaving room for the sentiment, I love that idea…I’m sure I’ll be following your example. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, beautiful card. I love the clean crisp lines and that awesome flower… emboss twice, love that!!! Hugs,
Wonderful! So crisp and clean. Love how you used the folder twice like that!
That sassy flower is a beautiful way to showcase those colors! And the perfect Mary Fish detail………..leave the smooth space for the sentiment! Love the details…..
