  1. Lucky #1? The blog candy looks yummy πŸ™‚ Thanks for your daily inspiration!

  2. That is a tough one. Each one has advantages. The new stamps I purchase I am getting in clear mount but I don’t think I would want to change over the wood mounts I have. Can I like them both?

  3. [email protected]

    Mary,
Thanks for sharing your talent with us! I prefer clear mount stamps so I don’t make as many mistakes.

  4. Kathy Rittler

I love the clear-mounts as they take up less space in storage and I am able to see how they are going on to the paper. I look in the catalog for the clear stamps as I order.

  5. Clear mount. I love the space saving on storage!! For that, I am willing to sacrifice the “sturdiness” of the wood mount.

Great question. I’ll be sure to look for the final results.

  6. [email protected]

I prefer clear mount stamps. I like that you can put several stamps on a larger block and stamp at once. Plus clear mount is more goof proof! Great blog candy.

  7. I really like clear mount, easier to store and less mistakes when stampting.

  8. Clear mounted is the way to go for me! I love it even more if it’s made from the photo-polymer versus red rubber mounted on gray foam.

  9. I prefer clear mount… for me it makes placement easier! Great giveaway!!

  10. Jenna Johnson

Clear Mount stamps are the best. They are so very easy to store work great!!!!

  11. Jeannette Dailey

I love the clear mount sets. They save space on my shelves which means I can have more stamp sets. πŸ™‚

  12. Terri (blindstamper)

Clear mount all the way! So glad SU! came out with the option, and love that they are less expensive and more “green”.

  13. I must be old fashioned, but I prefer the wood mounted stamps. I like the way they stamp and how they feel in my hand.

  14. I love our clear mount stamps! Besides storage being so compact, I like being able to see exactly where I’m placing my image and using multiple stamps at a time is another plus. One draw back, some of the tiny stamp images are difficult to use and clean because of the small size. In that case wood is best.
Thanks for sharing your terrific projects and for offering some great blog candy!

  15. I love the clear mount, for a somewhat beginner like me, they make fixing a mistake so easy! πŸ™‚

  16. Hi Mary,

I look forward to your daily inspiration! I love the clear mounted stamps. As a demonstrator I use my stamps a lot. My clients find them easier to work with and I love the easy maintenance. They make two-step stamping a breeze!

    Thanks for sharing?.

  17. Oh goodness, I guess I really do prefer the wood mount stamps as they just seem more stable to me. I have purchased some clear sets though and am trying to like them, too. Thanks for a chance at some great blog candy. Always love your inspiration!

  18. Although the clear are great for different reasons, I really LOVE the wood mount stamps. For me they produce a crisper image and tolerate more use.
Thanks for the opportunity to win some candy, and who does not love that!!!

  19. Stampin Up has done a great job at creating the best clear stamps out there. They have not sacrificed quality. Have purchased other clear stamps and they are not the same. Without a doubt, they are truly an organizer’s dream. I visit your sight every morning – first thing. You are fabulous and wonderfully creative. Thanks!

  20. I still prefer the wood mount stamps. I haven’t used my clear ones much so I don’t have a good feel for them.

  21. I recently started purchasing the clear mount, because of the price differential. I really like them! I think I like them a little better than the wood, and I didn’t think I would ever say that. From now on I will be a clear-mount gal. Love your blog…it is the first one I check each day. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy!

  22. I prefer the clear mount, but still have a soft spot for the wood mount. The cost savings and ease of two step stamping makes the clear stamps a winner in my book! πŸ™‚

  23. Marilyn McCree

I like the clear mount much better but I hope they do come out with clear stamps soon. I agree with everyone else about the storage and price.

  24. I love the clear stamps. I think it just makes more sense then I can buy more of them!!!!

  25. Hi Mary! I have to say that the clear mount is my favorite! It’s not only cheaper but you can also see where you’re stamping! In fact, I have unmounted most of my wooden stamps(Still like about 70 sets)! I store them in CD cases for more room on my shelves! That way I can buy more sets lol! Thanks for the chance to win an awesome giveaway! And for ALL that you do for us! Love your site!

  26. Wow, what a great ?. I was resistant to clear mount but went ahead and got them and I LOVE THEM. Placement is easier on the paper and you can use 2 kinds of ink from pads because you can see through them so well along with storage and ease of assembly and once the investment in the blocks are made, which are superior to anything else out there, the sets are less expensive and you get your $ back real quick. I do like how the wood feels when I stamp but hands down clear mount wins my vote.
Thanks for the blog candy chance and you are an inspiration to me. Paula

  27. Hi there beautiful lady! I love clear mount stamps because of the ease in seeing where your stamping and they store better.
I agree with Missy….cd cases sure make it such better storage.

Thanks for a chance to win so uber cool prizes!

    πŸ™‚

  28. I will use any stamp, but the truth of the matter is I love, love, love the clear stamps since I can see exactly where I am stamping and can also mix up my stamp sets to set up my block .

  29. I prefer the wood mount. My plan is to buy clear mount for alphabet and 2 step stamping sets because being able to see actually lining them up would be very helpful. But I like the permanent mounting with the wood. It is great to have both options though.

  30. I am liking the clear more every day. Of course, one reason is that I can store more in one place!!!

  31. Learning to enjoy the benefits of clear mount…
    πŸ™‚

  32. Tiffinnie Reed

Clear Mount!! I love them everything about them, from the storage container with the name and pictures on the side, to the cost savings.

  33. I’m a clear mount lover!

  34. Hello Mary: I like the clear mount stamps. They are easy to work with since I can see where I put the stamp on the paper and they are more economical as well. For the wood stamps, I love the soft curve of the wood and the look of it but, until I get the stamp-a-ma-jig, it’s always a bit harder to keep the stamp straight. The blog candy looks fantastic so, good luck to me!!!!!!
    Maria.

  35. I prefer clear mount stamps! So much easier to store!

  36. Hands down…the wood stamps! Maggi

  37. As much as I love wood mounted, the SU clear mounted stamps have won my heart. The quality is exceptional and the ease of use and storage have made them my “clear” favorite.

Thank you for the opportunity to win the blog candy!

  38. Clear mount wins my vote……more room for more stamps!

  39. I prefer the Clear Mount, and wish they were offered in more sets.

    Thanks!

  40. I prefer clear mount, especially for alphabet and 2-step stamping. I love not having to use my stampamajig for placement. I also love the ease of storing the clear mount sets. Now to unmount all my wood sets!

  41. I love the clear mount stamps…..wish it was an option for every set!!!!

  42. [email protected]

Old habits are hard to break. I like the wood mount stamps. They are ready when I am, easy to find and easier to clean. I see advantages with the others tho and my old habits may be swayed.
    PS: Love your blog!

  43. Hi Mary,
    The blog candy looks devine!!
I like the clear stamps for cost, storage and placement. My best, Wendy

  44. I love the clearmount stamps – they store so much more compactly and their easier to line up

  45. lovin’ all stamps…..but especially the clear ones.

    thanks for the offering

    Kathy L……

  46. I really like the clear mount stamps for several reasons. First of all, they take up much less storage space. Secondly, they are less expensive and thirdly, several stamps can be mounted on a clear block for precise placement.

  47. Clear mount stamps – 100%! Before the clear mount stamps came out, I “unmounted” all my wooden stamps. I am so glad Stampin Up made the switch!

  48. I love the new clear mounts-no more crooked stampings!! They take up less space so you can “HOARD” more stamps and the family doesn’t realize how addicted you are!!!

  49. I prefer the clear mount stamps. They take up less space and are easier to store. Love your blog!

  50. i love both types of stamps but if i have to choose one it would be the clear mount! they are easy to store and cost less!

  51. I LOVE the clear mount!! In fact I have used unmounted stamps for the last 5 yrs and have actually ‘unmounted’ ALL my stampin’up stamps!! So now I can keep even more without anyone being the wiser!! LOL! The candy looks yummy!
    thanks
    Susan

  52. I actually prefer wood mounted, but have been buying only clear mount recently, because I LOVE the price. It is so great to be able to buy more amazing SU! images and still stay within budget.

  53. Didn’t think that I would say this….clear mount! Now I need to decide if I want to unmount all of those old sets and the best way.
    Sweet blog candy you have!

  54. Sherry Williams

I have always preferred SU wood mounts for the amazing stamped image. I do like the clear mounts, but I seem to have trouble with them slipping off the block more than I’d like. They are easier to position and get almost exactly where needed every time. and easier to store. hmmm…I’m not sure if I answered or not. I guess I like SU!’s rubber mounted on clear blocks best πŸ™‚

  55. I really thought I was a wood mount person all the way until I tried the new clear mounts. I have tried other clear mounts with the polymer stamp but they simply do not hold up through the years. Stampin Up kept the high quality rubber and their clear mounted stamps are much better than the other kind. I am buying most things in clear now because of the storage issue. But there is nothing like the feel of stamping with wood mounted stamps.

  56. Def. clear mount! They are easier on my budget and my storage space!

  57. That’s an easy question for me. I prefer the clear mount. I’m so glad SU came out with them. They take up less space than the wood mount and that’s a plus. Love your blog and all your inspiration. Great blog candy, hope I win. Good luck everyone….Rita

  58. I love the clear mount…they take up less space and make it easier to stamp more accurately!!
Thanks for always sharing with us!!

  59. I love the clear mount stamps for a number of reasons. First for me though is storage! The wood mount blocks took so much space to store and with limited space in my craft room the clear mounts are much more efficient! Plus, I love the way I can see where I am placing my image on my project. I am so impressed with how well and clear the images come out also! So I LOVE the clear mounts!!

  60. I like clear for the obvious reasons for phrases and stamping in close areas but I like the feel of a solid wood mounted stamp – just wish u could see where u were stamping with it! ; g

  61. I like them both but the clear mount is easier on the wallet and storage space! Thank you for your inspiration & the blog candy offering.

  62. I resisted Clear Mount Stamps as an addition to the SU family, but have to say…..I’m HOOKED! I am in LOVE with the clear blocks that SU offers and the storage advantage which the clear mount stamps offers for me is without a doubt a real PLUS. Thanks Mary for your daily inspiration-I look forward to your amazing posts each day.

  63. Hi Mary! I like both for different reasons, but if I had to pick just one, then I will say clear. I’m going to hang onto to my fav’s in the wood too though. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us!!

  64. Thanks for the chance to win some great blog candy. It’s a tough decision. Although I love the new clear stamps (beter storage and see thru to stamp) – I am a true diehard and love my wood a little bit more. I think when I stamp that it is a sturdier way to stamp and I can always use and upsell the stamp-a-ma-jig.

  65. The wood stamps are great, but I prefer to see where I’m placing the stamp. I also like the color coverage better with the clear. I love them!

  66. karen cardenas

Clear mount, hands down! Mainly for the storage! Thanks for the chance to win!

  67. I prefer the clear mount for sure! Easier to store, I can see where I am stamping so less mistakes and I can use more than one stamp on a clear block which makes my stamps more versitle. Thanks for all the inspiration I look forward to each days post.

  68. Wow…a hard decision. I love the storage of clear mounts but I am so use to wood mounted. Your blog has such great insight into new trends. Thanks for taking the time to provide us with a worthwhile blog.

  69. Hmmmm I think both has their place. For me I prefer clear mount as I don’t have a very large stamping space BUT I do purchase wood mount when the stamps are itty bitty like Tiny Tags πŸ™‚ Great giveaway πŸ™‚

  70. I prefer the clear mount stamps…love them!

  71. Shannon Finnegan

I have not used the clear mounted stamps… I’m a tired and true wooden mounted stamper as of now… but I guess I should g ive the clear mount a go.

  72. I’m torn…I love the traditional wood mount, but the clear mount is so much more affordable and requires less storage space. If I were to purchase stamps today and had the option, I would choose the clear mount!

  73. Cele Schaffer

Clear mount is what I prefer now due to space issues, but I sure did love all those wood mounted stamps when that was all that was available!

  74. WOW decision decision well I do LOVE them both but I do prefer clear stamps for the convience of space and they weight less so am able to carry them to my friends house or crops.

  75. I love clear. I appreciate the lower prices on the clear mount. Times are tough economically and you can still get a set you love even if you can’t afford it. Also the clear take up alot less room to store! Last I love the clear blocks. I love the curve on the sides. Clear blocks I have used in the past are thin and often wobble when you stamp with them. SU blocks are thick and stamp just like a wood block! If you have not bought a block yet get one! D is an awesome one to start with. Most of the stamps fit on it!

  76. The wood mount is so nice to be able to just grab. BUT, I just love the clear mount. Love the smaller storage space required. Love the inspiration I get from you. Your color combinations WOW me. Thank You

  77. I lean toward clear mount except for really small pieces (I have a hard time cleaning Tiny Tags) just because of the storage factor. I still end up using my stamp-a-ma-jig because I never get the labels on perfectly straight! Thanks for the chance to win!

  78. I definitely prefer the clear mount….I love how easy it is to used the two step stamps now and of course the storage is so much better! Now I have room more even more set! πŸ˜‰ Of course…there are still some woodmount sets I own that I’ll never be able to part with. Thanks for the chance…that bag is super cute! πŸ™‚

    {SMILES}

  79. Clear mount, hands down. I love the clear mount option and was so glad when SU finally gave us that option!

  80. I love the convenience of storing the clear mount stamps. I have wayyyyyyyy too many stamps and have long ago run out of space (however, this doesn’t stop me from buying!). The SU clear mount stamp wonderfu clear images.

  81. Hi Mary,
I prefer the clear mount stamps because its easy to store (super space saver) and its easy to position. Thank you for giving us a chance to win!

  82. You, my dear, are a generous soul! I love the look and feel of wood mount stamps, but usually opt for cling mount for ease of storage and ease of use. I’ve become a BIG fan of SU cling mount stamps. Excellent quality and great storage options!

  83. Oh Mary, what a wonderful prize! I’m a clear mount gal, though I have some fond feelings for wood mount! XOXO

  84. I like both, but still prefer the wood mounts.

  85. Wood for me. I like that they are mounted and ready to go, and not needing to be mounted before each use. Thanks for all your creative cards etc.

  86. Since the clear mount stamps became available through SU! that’s all I have been purchasing. I love the fact that you can see exactly where you’re stamping, they are less expensive, and easier to store.

  87. Clear-mount going forward…but wood-mount for everything that I already have. I can’t imagine going through the work to convert them all!

  88. I am a Clear Mount girl for sure!! You make less mistakes and the storage is great. Thanks for the blog candy and your great inspiration!

  89. I just love the Clear Stamps. They give a crisper clear stamp. You can also tell where You want to stamp and align other stamps to an already stamped item.

  90. While I am purchasing more Clear Mount stamps than I ever thought I would (love the space saving storage, money saving cost, and the easier placement of the image – especially words and sentiments), I still PREFER my WOOD MOUNTS. Like several other posters, I find the tiny stamps are difficult to store, and clean in the clear mounts. Stampin’ Up! has made the choice a lot more difficult for me, but for now, I’m still leaning toward Wood Mounts.

  91. I have only used the wood mount stamps but do believe once I get my hands on a clear mount I will convert. I think they would make it easier to line up and I have noticed they are lower in cost.

  92. Mary,
I love the clear mount stamps!!! Easy to use, easy to store and easier on the pocketbook!!

  93. I have to admit, I prefer wood mount. I have 1 set of cling stamps and they don’t want to stay on the block. However, I do like the price savings on the cling stamps. I may try another set in cling to play with it again.

  94. Wood mount all the way for me. I have purchased a few clear sets and they haven’t converted me yet. It’s a great product just not for me. Call me old fashion but I love using my stamp-a-ma-jig. You always get the exact precise placement when combining stamp sets or just stamping on your project. Love your blog candy giveaway so very chic! Thank You Mary!!
P.S. If this is double posted, sorry! When submitting the first time something didn’t work right. Hope this doesn’t take me out of the running.

  95. Lori Schwindt

I would have to say that after using the clear mount stamps that I absolutely love them. I would also love to know how to purchase that bag if I don’t win it!

  96. I am gonna have to be in the minority and say wood mount. I ordered a couple sets in clear mount, but don’t have the best luck getting them to stay on the blocks. I have messed up a few projects when the inked stamp droped off on to my paper.

  97. Hands down, clear-mount. I bought my first few clear-mount sets with my last order, and I am now a true believer! I love how they combine the versatility of clear acrylic stamps with the tried-and-true bold images of Stampin Up!’s rubber stamps. The storage is great! They save me a lot of space in my already tiny crafting area.

  98. Clear mount all the way… so much easier to use. I’ve also converted all my wood mount stamps to clear mount.

  99. I love the wood mounts but prefer clear mount as easier to use and saves space. regards kaz

  100. I am starting to like Clear Mount more and more. Still have some wood ones but will be buying clear whenever I can.

  101. I prefer the clear mount stamps for storage reasons and they are slightly easier to line up when stamping. I still need my stamp-a-ma-jig if I need exact placement since they aren’t clear. I’ve found I don’t put the stickers on the back side because they don’t stick to the blocks as well with it on and you can’t be sure they are lined up exactly for placement either. I’m mostly a hobby demo but when I have had a stamp a stack I’ve found the wood mounted stamps are easier because I don’t have to have as many blocks.

  102. I love clear mount for many reasons but mostly because they take up much less storage space.

  103. Tammy Jackson

I love both for different reasons, but I LOVE my wood mount the most. They are both great but the wood mount
is the best for me. I love being able to just grab the
stamp and I’m ready but the clear mount I have to get the block and get the stamp to cling which I sometimes
have trouble with ( even with the 3 second rule).

  104. I prefer the clear mount. They take up less space, you can place more than one on a block, they help avoid placement error, you can separate words from an image and place it where you would like. I could go on and on πŸ™‚ Thanks for all of your fabYOUlous time and effort on your blog. It truly is my favorite one to visit!!

  105. MISS MARY I LOVE CLEAR,I LOVE HOW THEY STORE, CLEAN,AND HOW EASY THEY ARE TO PLACE WHERE I WANT THEM, BUT MOST OF ALL BETTER ON THE $$$$$$$ ,LOL.

    HUGS, FRENCHIE.

  106. Jennifer Murphy

I love, love, love the clear. The storage is fantastic, the quality is the best around, and it just makes it a lot easier to create.
I am so glad SU is transitioning!
    Jennifer in Indy

  107. I am in love with clear mount stamps. Easy to mount and to stamp. Thanks for the opportunity to win some goodies.

  108. I still prefer the wood mount stamps. It’s so much easier to just grab it, ink it up and stamp. Although I like the more precise stamping with the clear mount, I have trouble with them on the acrylic block. Thanks for offering the blog give away. I’d love to have that arrive at my door. You have a wonderful blog that is a part of my daily routine.

  109. Hi, Mary, at first I did not like the clear mount then the more I used them the more I liked them. Now they are my favorite. Love the less storage space they take. I wish all mine were clear mount now. Oh well that is way too much trouble to change.

Happy weekend and hugs to you.

  110. I love the new clear mounts for the price and easier storage, but will always love a wood rubber stamp!!

  111. Clear mount for me! Love the lower cost, the easy placement, storage and the light weight of the blocks. I also like how you can combine different images/sentiments onto one block. Love your blog!

  112. I still like WOOD. I’m not a fan a switching out stamps each time i use them but the storage for clear stamps is awesome.

  113. Linda Spengler

Tough question! For random stamping, I probably prefer the “heft” of the wood, but for precision stamping, clear mount gets my vote. If I were just beginning my stamping obsession now, I’d definitely do clear though. No more crooked sentiments–grrrr!

  114. I’m a clear mount stamper all the way now. Still love my “old” wooden stamps too. Have a great day!

  115. I’m really surprised that I like the clear mount better. When SU first introduced them, I thought I would stick with wood. Using the clear mounts has become my preferred way to stamp. Any my storage area will hold lots more sets!

Thank you Mary for sharing your talent with us.

  116. Great give-a-way, especially the paper! Stampin’ Up papers are nice and thick. I’ve never tried the clear mount stamps from SU, I’ve always ordered the wood ones, so how about I go wild and say clear mount stamps if I get picked as the winner. Thank you for the chance to win. πŸ™‚

  117. Vicki--arcticvic

Hi Mary. My preference is Wood Mounts but I am a Clear Mount convert only because of the price. They are much easier to store as well BUT I still like the feel of the wood in my hand.

  118. I prefer the clear mounted stamps. They are easier to store and easier to align. I would like SU convert all its stamps to clear mounted!

  119. Both have good points, but I have to go with wood mount – especially now that the stamp sets are die cut and you don’t have to worry about cutting out the images!

  120. Barbara in SC

Thanks for the chance to win such great “candy”. I love the new clear mount stamps and have chosen that option when ordering new sets, but I will still order wood mount if that’s the only way a set I’ve fallen in love with is offered. And I agree with another comment I read about the Stampin’ Up acrylic blocks ~ very solid and easy to use. No wobble at all.

  121. Clear mounts are quickly becoming my favorite, thanks for all the lovely cards you share

  122. I love the clear mount.
I used to be an occasional stamper, but since the clear stamps have been out I stamp all the time.

  123. I prefer the clear mount because of easy placement and storage. I also like SU’s cases that they are stored in, and the ability to buy empty cases.

  124. I’m a clear mount lover! I love how you can position the image where you want it on the block and you can actually SEE where you are stamping! Wood blocks make you “guess” where the image is going to be. Storage is sooooo much better!! Love ’em πŸ™‚

  125. Clear mount, Clear mount, Clear mount! πŸ™‚ Yipeee…it allows me to by more…easier to store and most of all easier to stamp where I want to stamp. Would love love love to win this blog candy. Would love to get my hands on a SU ruler. I am such a gadget person! Thanks for the chance to win.

    Blessings,
    Sandra πŸ™‚

  126. I like both – I like the wood stamps because they seem to have a more stable stamp. But I also like the ability to see exactly where you are putting the clear stamps. Thanks, Mary – I love your blog!

  127. By far my favorite are clear acrylic stamps! They’re best for storage-aligning on paper-clean crisp inking-little cheaper too. You have some great ideas, thanks for sharing with us!

  128. Clear mount is my choice. The wood stamps just take up so much room. I can fit hundreds of stamps in the same space that would fit maybe ten wood mount stamps! Thanks for the chance to win!

  129. Ginny Schleich

I definitely love the wood mount more. But…if I see that the stamp set is one that I will need to stamp it next to something or inside of something, then I will purchase the cling. If it is a stamp set that coordinates with punches, then I get wood since the punch is going to do all of the work for me anyway. Love your blog and your talent. Thanks for sharing.

  130. Veronica Singh

I am an oldie but goodie wood mounted stamps!

    Thank you πŸ˜‰
    V

  131. Hi Mary,

I love the clear mount stamps. I can see to center stamps better with the clear mount. And as for storage, the thin boxes are great.

  132. Roberta Smith

I have to say that I am a wood stamp lover. I know that the clear cases save space, but they are more trouble than anything. I like being able to just grab a stamp and get creating. Thanks for all your inspiration and for sharing.

  133. I always thought I would use the wood mount only, but after using the clear mount – I love it! I love switching the blocks and seeing where I’m stamping. I have not converted my wood mounts – I’m leaving them alone. Thanks for the chance to win. I visit your blog daily.

  134. I guess I’d have to say wood mount, only because that’s the majority of what I have. I do love the fact that clear mount are easy to use though.

  135. The 2 reasons that I would pick clear mount stamps over the woood mount stamps are price and storage. Other than that I like both kinds. The blog candy looks very yummy. Thanks Mary.

  136. Clear mount. They are fabulous. Great stampin up quality, not like another set of clear mount I had purchased before.

  137. Clear Mount! by far is my favorite. I was so happy when Stampin’ Up! started to offer them. I’ve begun to convert my (retired) Wood mounts to Clear mount. Storage space is reduced, placement is enhanced, and my stamping dollar goes farther since they are more economical. Love your blog! You are an amazing business woman.

  138. I absolutely love the clear mounts – storage is a BIG reason but I also like being able to “see where I’m going” πŸ™‚

  139. clear mount stamps are my FAV, not only do they take up less space BUT they also are so quick and easy to use! Love ’em!

  140. I always had a hard time placing my wood mounted stamps just where I wanted to stamp, with the clear mount life (& stamping) is much easier for me! Thanks for the chance to win some yummy candy!

  141. Michele Richard

    Hi,
Before l prefered wood stamps , more pretty but now for the arrangement l buy clear stamps. Have a good day.

  142. Thank you for the very generous blog candy offer! (Mmmmm…what I could do with all of that paper!) I only order clear mount stamps now. I am a big fan! I am so glad stamps have evolved to these!

  143. Mary,
I absolutely without a question adore the new clear mount stamps. This is the best thing Stampin’ Up has done in years in my opinion … The stamped image is ALWAYS where I intended it to be…..plus the price lets me buy MORE Stampin’ Up supplies!

  144. Mary,
I was very, very reluctant to try the clear mount because I was worked about the duribility of the clear mounted stamps. But I bought a set in clear mount and that was it, I was a changed woman. Being a military wife, we move a lot and the clear munt stamps take up less room and less weight, that in itself is a huge advantage over the wood mounts. I still like the wood mounted sets, but I prefer the clear now. I don’t think I will replace my wood sets to clear, but the sets I oreder now are clear. Love the blog candy! Hope I win πŸ™‚

  145. Looks like clear mount is taking the survey by a landslide! I prefer them for the ease of storage & amount space they take up! Leaves me room for more stamps πŸ™‚

  146. Christina Stewart

I like wood better. I like permanance… I am old school like that LOL

  147. I love the Clear Mount stamps! I used to get everything crooked but the clear mounts have really been a blessing! I had to purchase blocks with a grid on them and my stamping has really improved! I’m a Clear Mount Convert!

  148. Wood, wood, wood! πŸ™‚

  149. I still am in love with the traditional wooden mount stamps. It is so hard to let go!!!!! I do have to say that I like the clear stamps for definate perfection in placement but don’t feel they have the “OOMPH” that the wooden stamps have.

  150. I like them both, but prefer the clear…I can see the imprint on my paper and they are easier to store!
Thank you for the time you take to share your creations with us!
    Stampingly, Debi

  151. I prefer clear mount.

  152. I was on the fence about the duribility of the clear mounts, but after ordering a set and playing with it, I was a changed woman. Being a military family we move quite often and the clear sets make so much more sense, they take up less space and they don’t weigh as much. So to answer your question, all my new sets will be clear mounts and my old wooden sets will remain wooden. Love love love the blog candy! Hope I win πŸ™‚

  153. Kellie Cavallaro

I love the versatility of clear mounted stamps, but for larger images I still prefer wood mount.

  154. I’m a clear mount girl. I unmounted all of mine awhile ago, and have not regretted it at all.

  155. How do I love clear mounts, let me count the ways! Alphabet letter placement; the ability to create a “scene”; two-step stampin’ ease; clean-upability; storage… I could go on and on! And I love the clear block storage case for keeping everything neat and tidy!

  156. I still purchase both… but the clear stamps get my vote. They are easier to place and the storage cases are space savers. Cheaper isn’t a bad thing either.

  157. Hmmmmm….I was skeptical at first, but I think I’m liking the clear mount sets better now. I love that you can see where you’re stamping! Not sure if I will take the time to “convert” all my wood mounted stamps, though!

  158. I love clear mount for it’s storage purposes, love those DVD type cases. Also, I love that SU’s clear stamps can be used with their stamp pads. Other companies I have to buy special pads. I love how SU makes things easier. Thanks for the chance to win!

  159. I will have to say the clear mount. So much easier to see stamp placement. Storage is a wonderful too! Thanks for all your inspiration Mary!

  160. I love the clear mounts. They stamp just as nicely as the wood mounts but take up less space in my craft room. And Stampin’ Up! blocks are by far the best I’ve ever used. Thanks for all your inspiration.

  161. Karen Ellenbecker

I really like the clear mounted stamps. You can see through to see where you are stamping.
Mary, thanks for all your inspiration!!! You do great work!!

    Karen

  162. Cristy Gammon

Definitely love the clear mount stamps. I feel like I get better placement with these. In the process of unmounting my stamps on wood blocks but not sure if I will ever finish.

  163. I prefer the clear mount. Easier to stamp with and the storage is wonderful. I wonder what took them so long to come up with the awesome clear stamps. Thanks, Debbie

  164. LOVE CLEAR MOUNT!!! Much easier for storage and lining up your images when stamping!! BIG FAN!!!

  165. Hi Mary:
love your blog. Clear mount means more room for more stamps!
    Thanks.

  166. Clear Mount for me!!! Love the way you can position them and do two or more at a time on a block. Storage is another great thing about them (slim and trim on your pocket book too!) Thanks Mary for the opportunity to win!

  167. At first I didn’t think I would like the clear mount but I bought one and now LOVE the clear mount stamps. Plus they don’t take up as much storage space.

  168. I love the clear mount stamps best!

  169. I had used other clear stamp set’s and did not like them. So when SU came out with clear I gave them a try. I love them for all the reason’s that has been given. Hand’s down SU has the best stamps (clear or wood) paper, ink and markers. Enjoy visiting with you each morring, you have style. Thank you

  170. Rhandi DeMars

I love your blog and look forward to checking it out every morning. I garner much inspiration from it. Thank you so much for sharing talents with us.
Clear mount is the easiest for me to use. I have taken a lot of my wood stamps off wood and making them clear also. It is an ongoing project. I love SU stuff and would love to win the blog candy.

  171. It’s hard to say. The clear mount don’t stick well with the decals on them. I like the saving space and lower cost aspect though.

  172. I LOVE my wood mount stamps. I like having a stamp ready to go from the case. They just work better for me. Thanks for the chance at some fun blog candy.

  173. Karen Bensonhaver

I prefer the clear mount if they are cut well, but I never pass up a great wood mounted stamp! Clear mount is easier to store and I love being able to see through the block! Either way stamping rocks!

  174. I didn’t really like clear stamps until I used the SU! Sets. Love them!!!

  175. I like the clear mounts better but have yet to determine the best way to store them. I have the wood mount stamps in one big flat container so I can see what I have at one glace. However, right now I have the clear mounts in the case they come in so I have to look at each case to see what I might want to use. I’d love to hear ideas on how everyone else is storing their clear mount stamps.

    Thanks, Terri

  176. Jan Schoenfeld

I didn’t think I would love the clear mount stamps as much as I do. Thanks for the opportunity to win the blog candy.

  177. Clear mount unless it is a tiny stamp and then it’s woodmount for me. I find that the tiny stamps tend to come off the block when I try to clean them and I end up with inky fingers.

  178. I prefer the feel of the wood mount. Of course I have gone clear mount now because of the storage.
    That bag is tooo cuuute.
thanks for the chance to win.

  179. Melissa Sutton

I like the wood mount better. They are sturdy and i don’t mind using a stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement just right . . . .but having said that, I have been buying the clear mount because the price is cheaper and when I’m buying a lot of stamps it has allowed me to afford to get a little more at the lower price whereas i would have bought less woodmount to stay in my budget. . . . so probably like them both, but prefer the wood mount

  180. I really love the clear mount RUBBER stamps! I’m so glad Stampin’ Up did not go totally clear and kept the stamps rubber. It is the best of both world!

LOVE, love, love your blog, Mary!

    Lisa

  181. Krista Corbett

Hi Mary! I am leaning towards clear mount because of the price factor and that I can see what I’m doing, but once in a while I love to hold on to a wood mount, just because they feel nice and it reminds me of when I first started stamping and fell in love with them. Thanks!

  182. Always thought I’d be a wood mount kind of girl but have come to love the clear stamps. Am slowly switching over and loving it! Storage is so much easier and getting the stamp in just the right place is a breeze! Thanks for all your great ideas and for sharing your talents with us! ~ Sherry

  183. I love the Wood mount but I have been purchasing clear mount since they were available because of the price and storage convenience. Thank you for a chance to win.

  184. now that I know how to use the stampamajig I love the clear stamps!!!

  185. All clear mount all the time!

  186. I love the clear mounted stamps! I won’t buy wood anymore unless that is the only way it comes πŸ™‚

  187. I really like the feel of wood mount in my hand but must say I am slowly moving over into the clear mounts. So much easier for placement and the storage is wonderful. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy goodies…

  188. I love the clearmount. I still have all of my wood ones, but I gravitate towards the clear almost every time. BTW, great gift!!

  189. Definitely clear mount! They take up less storage space and are a lot lighter for travel. Thanks for the blog candy chance.

  190. I am a newbie to writing here. Thanks for the great ideas. I prefer clear mount as placement is everything for me. I love being able to ensure that I have it right before it becomes permanent.

  191. I love the clear mounts to save on space and money; however, if I had unlimited money and space, I would choose wood mounts. I just love how you don’t have to worry about them popping off the acrylic and I feel like I can scrub them up easier. I also don’t feel like I will lose them! My desk gets to be a real mess sometimes and some of those little stamps, like the cherry in Sweet Scoops might get lost!

  192. Rebecca Torres

I have tried other clear mount stamps before and was never quite satisfied and when Stampin’ Up came out with clear mount I was a little hesitant, but now, after one set I am hooked. Stampin’ Up definitely has the best products!

  193. I have to say I am warming to clear mount stamps, because Stampin Up has done a very good job with theirs. However, I’m still a bit of a wood gal, especially on stamps I know I will use for “mass production”. Thanks for all the inspiration you share and the chance to win blog candy.

  194. I am liking the clear mount more and more. I think it’s easier to see where you are stamping. Love your blog!

  195. Clear mount….after a while it becomes a space issue.

  196. Debbie Burton

I love the clear stamps. The images are sharper and you can see the placement of where you want to stamp your image. They are a winner in my book. πŸ™‚

  197. Lucky number 101? :0) I like the clear mount because I can fit more of them in my cupboard. Thanks for the chance to win fantastic blog candy.

  198. I prefer the clear mount — space is always a problem and these really keep things much neater.

  199. Donna Coffman

I love both. For very small stamps I like the wood blocks, it makes them more secure and I don’t lose them. I like the clear because I don’t have to use the stamp-a-ma-jig as much. I am an impatient stamper and these make like easier when you need perfect placement.
Love that bag, I think I have a fetish for bags.
    Thanks,
    Donna

  200. [email protected]

Clear mount, easier to store. I can buy more and easier to use. But, I love the wood ones I have also!
    Genny

  201. Sharmila Seevaratnam

Hi Sandy…I jut love your ideas…First thing when I get in to work is open up your email. Thank you for that.

  202. I like the clear mounts since they take up less space, but the wood mounted ones are more stable. I still love my stamp-a-ma-jig!

  203. I really like the clear mount better. I like that you can see through them so it is easier to line up your stamps. However I do wish that they would stick on the clear mount blocks without having to put some glue stick on them. By the way I love your tutorials! They are so informative!

  204. Clear Mount…All the space I will be saving means more stamps to buy.

  205. I prefer the clear mount. Didn’t think I would, but the SU clear mount stamps are superior to any other ones I had used and now I’m sold. Thanks for your daily inspiration!

  206. I still prefer wood mounted… I like the feel of the wood. I like being able to grab a stamp and go without mounting and unmounting and looking for the right sized block.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  207. I love the clear mount they are so easy to use and to see where you are stamping and the storage is way better.

  208. I like clear mount because 1)they’re cheaper and I have more money to spend on other stuff, 2) they take up less space for storage, 3) I can see where I’m stamping, and 4) I can put more than one image on a block plus the blocks are so COMFORTABLE to use! There, I think I’ve stated my case for clear mount. πŸ™‚

  209. [email protected]

I really enjoy clear mount blocks because you can see better where you are stamping your image and you can even add more than one stamp to a block to make a collage type image. Yay clear blocks!!!

  210. I mostly have wood mounted-since I have been stamping for years-but I do appreciate all the advantages of the clear mounts. I really enjoy your posts.

  211. I have no more room for wood mount, so clear it is. I love your dedication and willingness to help at all levels. Your the best, Teri in So CA

  212. Kerney Whitman

Clear mount for sure!! It’s the best of both worlds; you can see where you are stamping more clearly (pun intended!, yet it’s still our good ‘ole rubber that makes a clean crisp image! And the storage benefit is a bonus!

  213. I have to say Clear Mount – less storage space, easy to identify which stamp set you are taking off the shelf due to pictures on the spines and easy to position. LOVING them.

Thank you for your efforts and for sharing all that you do.

  214. [email protected]

    Mary
Icome by your post every day for inspiration! Thanks so much! I have to say I just love the clear mount and wish all mine were that way!!!

  215. oohhh, thanks for the blog candy opportunity! I thought I would be a wood mount die hard, but I love the opportunities provided by clear mount stamps, especially the ability to mount multiple stamps together for simple and crisp stamping.

  216. Barbara Taylor

I like the clear mount. I recommended my niece to you for some SU products I have she wanted. She sent me an email and thanked me. Was please w/the wonderful service you provided.

  217. I’m old-school and like wood-mount stamps, but maybe that’s because I haven’t really tried clear-mount that much. Thanks Mary for such beautiful and imaginative inspiration everyday!

  218. Love the clear mount stamps. Easy to see my placement, can add a few different stamp together to make my own design and storage is so much easier. Oh yes, less expensive = more stamps. Your inspirations everyday are beautiful.

  219. Hi Mary, I love both types, but unless there are a lot of tiny pieces, I lean to the clear stamp sets. Storage with clear is so much easier to organize, and I love the way SU put the images on the spine!

  220. I love wood mount, however, clear mount has been tempting me. The lower price is great but the storage would be so much easier in my tiny space. Wonderful giveaway! I could only hope to be so lucky! Thanks for a chance!

  221. definitely clearm mount!

  222. Love Clear Stamps – so much easier to store & view when trying to come up with next project to be made.

  223. Clear mount. Since I am just starting, it is easy to make a collection of clear mount stamps. I do get wood mount ones for my son to play with. πŸ™‚

  224. Have to go with the clear. Easier to position and store. Won’t give up my wood mount stamps but loving the new ones.

  225. I LOVE the clear mount stamps! They take up less space and the placement is so much easier! I’m so glad that Stampin’ Up! came out with these!! Thanks for your all of your wonderful ideas!! I look forward to your posts everyday!!

  226. I like both. Clear mount are less expensive and easier to store. But wood blocks are easier if multiple people are stamping.

  227. Wendie Haynes

I was hesitant at first, but I must say that I love the clear mount. First off you can see what you are stamping and the second…storage. Definitely takes up less room, which means that you can just have more.

  228. I prefer the clear mount so I can see exactly where I am placing my image.

  229. With months of hesitation, I must say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the clear mount. Thanks Mary!!!

  230. clear mount! clear mount! clear mount! the storage is a major plus, but my biggest advantage is a toss up between transporting many sets and the side images on the box. i do a class at the library and take lots of sets. the side images are so nice for searching quickly for an idea (i do have a ‘master picture inventory’ book) and pulling it off the shelve. also, it is easy to replace the RIGHT stamp in the right box after a customer has placed it in the wrong box (but i love their eagerness to be helpful!) THANKS FOR YOUR BLOG i hit it daily and suggest it to friends, you do a great job. love it. Donna

  231. Love the clear mount, much easier to use and the storage is wonderful

  232. Colleen Moreland

    Hey Mary,

That is a good question to ask. I have both clear and mounted stamps. I have to be honest and say I love the clear mount for several reason. They are easy to place and see. I also love the way you can store them and they don’t take up a lot of room. I have a full dresser full of SU mounted stamps that take up a ton of room. We all know that smart storage in our craft rooms are a must!! Thanks for all your wonderful ideas!!

  233. I am really liking the clear mount for three reasons. One, I like the space savings, I couldn’t have the selection I have in wood mount because of space limits.
Two, I enjoy the cost savings as they cost a little less than the wood mount
Three, I like using them, being able to place designs more accurately

  234. Didn’t think I would ever shy away from wood, BUT I now will only buy the Clear mount. Cheaper, less space needed and easier to line things up!

  235. I prefer the clear mount for the visibility when stamping, the compact storage and the lower price. I do like the sturdiness of my wood mount stamps. However, clear mount would win out over wood.

I like the ease of initial preparation for the clear mounts too. I do wish they could improve the cling aspect to be a bit stronger though. Oh, and the cases don’t always stay shut. Just a couple observations on room for improvement.

Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy Mary!

  236. Dorene Donaldson

I would have to say clear mount is growing on me. I have been thinking about all the space that I would save if I did convert all my wood mount stamps…but I probably will not….but I do have room for those compact cases and some new clear ones. Look at me…I am on the fence…about to fall off – oh please pick me.

  237. I really like the clear mount stamps! Now my only concern is, as a demo., how will I handle a stamp a stack workshop with out having to invest BIG $$$ in buying alot of clear mounts???

  238. I am a convert to clear mount. It gives me the ability to place the image exactly where I want it and the slim design of the cases and easy storage is what really sealed the deal for me.

  239. I’m definitely going for the clear mount stamp sets these days. Love the versatility of putting more than one stamp on a block to create my own background or sentiment phrase. Also, adore the space-saving technique and the little pics on the side of the binder for easy pickings. Thanks for the chance to win!

  240. Mary, I’m with Denise – don’t make me choose – I love ’em both! I love the feel of wood,I’m an old fashion girl at heart and when I use a wood stamp it just takes me back and makes me smile. The clear is easy to use, especially for word placement, for that reason I have been ordering words and quotes in clear.

Also, wanted to tell you how much I love your clean, uncluttered style on your site and on your designs. A daily inspiration!

    With gratitude, Kim

  241. Brenda Baartman

I really like the clear ones! I’m truely amazed at your talent and Gift of creaetivity!! Thanks for taking the time to share your ideas!

  242. Betty Ann Schaertel

I like the clear mount. I’m buying all my stamp sets this way if they are available. They take up less space for storage and you don’t get the wood blocks stained – the clear blocks just wipe off. Plus it’s easier to line up the clear mount.

  243. I definitely prefer SU’s version of the clear mount stamps! Love that they still stamp a great image but are such a great space saving option!!

  244. I like the clear mount for all the reasons above, but they do take some getting used to.

  245. Call me old-school, but I’m a wood mount fan. And I couldn’t do it without my stamp-a-ma-jig! Thanks for the chance to win a great prize!

  246. Mary, I really like both the clear mount and the wood mount. I am now buying mostly clear mount, since I can buy more, and they take alot less room to store. But the ones I think I will use the most, I am getting the wood mount, I think they will last longer. I have never had a wood mount wear out, or even look worn, and I do have one of the first clear mount look worn, so I feel there is a chance that they might not last as long. I really enjoy following your blog, you always have the best ideas, and everything is just Wonderful.

  247. I like the clear mount because I can see where I’m stamping w/o having to use the stamp-a-ma-jig. Plus, it takes less storage space and cost less. Could we purchase the bags? They’ll be great gifts for our SU group. Thanks!

  248. Clear mounted or wood mounted — that is the question!
I do love the “sturdiness” of the wood mounted stamps. However, I am coming to be a big fan of the new clear mounted SU! stamps. I especially like the clear mounts for sentiment positioning or for any design that also require specific positioning.
I’ve found that most wood mounted give good, clear images. However, depending on the quality, clear mounted may or may not give clear images. I have learned to be very cautious about the brands of clear mounts that I purchase.
Thanks, Mary, for give us the opportunity to win some COOL BLOG CANDY!

    {{Hugs}} Suzie

  249. Julie Learned

I prefer clear mount. Easier to see what’s going on. Thanks for the chance to win Mary!!

    Julie L.

  250. I actually like both, depends on the situation. I like the clear mount when placement is imnportant and it’s fun to combime two on one block. And of course storage are lesser. But I prefer wood block when placement is vital (with stamp-a-ma-jig). They also seem more durable and I feel like I have more control, sometimes the clear mount move on me.

  251. I love the clear mount stamps. You can mount more than one stamp at a time and line them up prior to stamping. Then you can see exactly where they are going to “land” on your paper. Love them!

  252. I’m on the fence on this one. I like storage & price of clear mount, but I don’t like having to change my stamps when I’m doing a project.

  253. Clear Mount is my decision. I wasn’t sure at first but now I’m completely hooked. I was just looking at the ‘Define Your Life’ stamp set and want to figure out how to make them work with my clear blocks. I really don’t like the double mounted stamp at all so this will be a fun new challange.
Thanks for your blog…..it is a daily inspiration.

  254. Kelly Michels

Thanks so much for blog candy. I’m technically a new stamper and I prefer the clear mount. Ease of use and also seeing the placement is definitely a plus. But there are great older sets and new ones that are wood mounted, I just use my stamp-a-ma-jig but then I use the SAMAJ with the clear mounts too. Thanks again !

  255. I love the wood mount but am buying clear mount because of the price and storage. The one thing I do not like about the clear mount is cleaning them! Hard to do – especially with little pieces.

  256. I was a wood-mount purist and swore I would never change! However, once I saw the simple dvd case storage I was sold on clear. Now I’m a clear-mount purist… I never buy wood blocks anymore!

  257. I’m usually resistant to change, but once I tried the clear mount, I was hooked! I love the way they are packaged and take up so much less space and the cases are all uniform in size(perfect for us who prefer organized, tidy work spaces!) Seeing where you are stamping is a great bonus!

  258. I prefer clear mount stamps because it’s so much easier to store and A LOT more I can carry in my grab-and-go box to a stampin party with my friends or spur of the moment stamping mode at a friend’s house.

  259. Although I’m addicted to wood, I have eight sets of clear! I do find myself checking to see if certain stamps come in clear, such as the “Elizabeth” stamp, which isn’t available in clear. They are easier to use, store and a little less expensive. If I had to choose, I’d go with clear. I’m a stamper, so whatever’s up, bring it!

    Vicki A.

  260. I totally prefer clear mount! In fact, I unmounted all my other stamps too, I love clear mount so much. Crazy, I know.

  261. Hi Mary,
I love the Clear mount stamps and SU’s quality.
So nice to see exactly where you are stamping and the storage is great! Thanks for the chance to win blog candy…..I love your blog!

  262. LOVE, LOVE Clear Mount! So much easier to store, they take up such little space. Thanks Mary!

  263. as someone who used to be a hard core acrylic stamps user, I’m now 100% wood blocks all the way. wouldn’t change it.

  264. I prefer clear mount. So easy to line up stamps and do random stamping. . Much easier to store and organize stamps.

  265. Deb Buckminster

I prefer S.U.’s clear-mounted stamps over wood-mounted, but would sacrifice the easier storage of them, if they were made from thin polymer, like other companies offer.

  266. Since I can never stamp straight, it looks like I stamp like a drunk, clear is the best for me. I love it for the storage as well and price is great too! I wish SU had more sets in the clear mount.

  267. Clear Mount! Much easier to store and it’s great seeing exactly where the stamp is going.

  268. Brittany Woodward

I prefer the ease of just grabbing a wood mount stamp and being able to just start stamping. But, the storage options of the clear mount stamps have me sold! πŸ™‚

  269. I love the clear mount stamps as it makes it easier to see exactly where you are stamping.

  270. I love the clear mount! They are less expensive, easier to use, easier to store! I hope all the set eventually become clear mount! Thanks so much for your inspiration. I look forward to your next project!

  271. natalie cottle

This is tough! I think more recently I see myself buying the clear mount ones because they are cheaper and easier to use!

  272. I have been following you for a little while and have been so inspired! Thanks!!

I would have to say I like the clear stamps. I love to see where it is going and if it is straight or not!!

  273. wood mount- i guess i am old school even if i am young….

  274. As a fellow Demonstrator, I have to say I still prefer the wood-mount. I have purchased a few of the clear mounts, but I don’t like all that switching around and having to mount on blocks. Plus after a very lengthy stamping episode for save-the-date cards for my daughter’s wedding, unfortunately I wore out the vine stamp from my Vintage Vogue set and ended up having to purchase the wood mount set to complete the wedding ensemble. Fortunately, space is not an issue in my case and I will continue to purchase the wood mount even if they are alittle more expensive.

  275. [email protected]

What a wonderful give-away! Thank you for doing this. I like clear mount stamps.

  276. Clear mount — I was a slow convert, but I love them now!

  277. [email protected]

I have always loved the wood but as my stash of stamp sets (over 100 wood sets) grows I find I am leaning towards clear mount as they take up way less room. But there are some old favs…like DD Daisy… that I will never get rid of . So I will always have both.

  278. I prefer the clear mount. The storage and cost are better. I think the stamping results are about the same.

  279. Mary, although I like the sturdiness of the wood block in my hand, I have been won over by the clear mount stamps and blocks. I love the ability to mix and match on the same block, storage is fantastic (more stamps now) as is ease of inking. The little ones are somewhat unstable and pop off when cleaning.

Thanks for the wonderful blog candy and your inspiration each and every day.

  280. What a great question! At one point I would have said clear, but now I care more about image quality. If I can have both clear and a great image…that’s what I’d prefer!

  281. I like both, for different reasons of course, by the clear mounts are becoming my favorite the more I use them. I think my Stamp-a-ma-jig may end up suffering from neglect soon. πŸ™‚

  282. I personally like the clear mounts easier to use, takes up less room. Will be eventually transfering all wood mounts to clear. You do such beautiful work, thanks sharing your talents, God Bless.

  283. Jennifer Bruce

That’s tricky cause I like them both! I’ve been using the wood mount for about 13 years now and that is what I’m used to. But I like the clear mount because you can see exactly where you are stamping and they are a little less expensive! So I’m kind of torn. I like them both!! : )

  284. I definitely reach more now for my clear mounts than my wood, and I love the storage and price features too – much easier to stay within my budget.

  285. I am definitely a clear girl. I always struggle with placement and it helps so much to see the image. I must admit, I love those clear blocks as well.

  286. Hi Mary!
Oh that bag is just the cutest!!!! I prefer Clear Mount! Love the cost savings and storage simplicity Stampin’ Up! offers us now!

  287. I prefer the clear mount stamps for both accuracy and storage. Although I do love the old wood mount and at the present time, I have no plans to convert those. Great blog candy!

  288. I never liked clear mounted stamps because they never seemed to stick to the clear blocks, but now I love the SU clear stamps because they stick great to the blocks!!

  289. I love the clear stamps. They are so easy to use and store. I plan to unmount all my wood stamps to use with the clear blocks. I also love the bag. Any chance I could buy one if I don’t win yours…Thanks….

  290. Nicole Flournoy

I really like clear mount stamps. I love the fact, I can really see where my image is going. Yes, you can use a stamp-a-jig, but I find using clear mount, I still line it up better.
Love letting my clear mounts be used by my kids. Clean up is much easier, and stamps stay cleaner. No more ink all over the wood!
Oh, and I love the storage! I can hide so many more stamp sets from my husband πŸ™‚

  291. I like both! Clear mount is nice for more accurate placement, but there is something comforting about the wood mount. Love them all!

  292. Clear mount has become my new favorite.

  293. I definitely prefer the clear mount stamps. I have a small space to keep my supplies and I like that the clear mount stamps take up less space.

  294. I’m still a wood mount gal! I feel I can get a more firm stamped image, if that makes sense. Although I must admit I’ve been buying a few clear mount and I do like to be able to put more than one image on a block. Just give me any stamps and I’m happy!

  295. I buy a little of both. I like the ease of use of the wood mount stamps, but they take up more room to store. The clear mount advantages are they are compact/saves on space to store and I find them a bit easier to place on my paper because I can see better where I am putting them. I just love them all!! Maybe a little too much!!

  296. I like both…I still like wood mount stamps for most projects but the clear mount are great for adding sentiments in just the right spot on my projects.

  297. I’m all about the clear. It is easier for placement and saves valuable space. So glad that SU now has that option.

  298. I have a very small stamping area and the new Clear Mount stamps make it a lot easier tostore and use. I’d sure love to be a winner on this one.
Love you tutorials a nd learn a lot from them
    Cathy in Az

  299. I prefer clear mount if not for anything else other then the streamline storage! I’m working on un-mounting all my wood block stamps. Huge space saver!

  300. Not having done this before, I thought I would start now. Clear mount stamps are the very best. Since I am running out of room, they make it so logical to buy more stamps.

Love your blog, card ideas and tutorials. They make my day.

  301. I used to be a wood mount gal, but have since tried out the clear mounts. I now own all of the clear blocks and am switching over to all clear mount!

  302. That’s a tough one!
I love the clear stamps because they are much easier to position where you want them. Less space to store, and cheaper(generally).
But the rubber on the wood mounted stamps (I think)makes a nicer, cleaner stamped image.
I love them both,I have both!!!

  303. Jeannie Barron

I buy clear mount, because of the cost, but still prefer the wood mount stamps. I would also add that I would only buy Stampin Up! clear mount. I love your blog, thanks for sharing!

  304. I love the clear mount, the feel of the acrylic block stampin up has achieved is so much better. And you can put multiple images on one block for easy stamping.

  305. Hands down Clear Mount!

  306. Clear Mount….SO MUCH NICER!!!! Thanks Mary! πŸ™‚

  307. Hi Marcia:

I hear this once in awhile, too. I shared a tip about having a “Three Second Rule” The clear mount stamps need to be held on the clear block for a few seconds before they bond. Learned this at convention last year. Three seconds should work . . . maybe a couple seconds longer for tiny stamps. I even manage to clean them while they are still on the blocks so they are hanging on! Hugs and good luck, Mary

  308. I’m gonna have to say I prefer the clear mount stamps; that being said, I’d never change my wood mounted sets cuz that would be like destroying a famous work of art!

  309. Clear mounts are my favorite! I can line them up more easily and the storage is great. . . lots of room left for more stamp sets! LOL
    :o) Marian

  310. Love your blog! I prefer clear mount for the simple fact that they take up less room . I like that the wood ones are ready to go but I dont have enough space in my stamp cabinet for all wood. Thanks for the giveaway πŸ™‚

  311. I am old school, I still prefer the wood mount!

  312. clear mount is my favorite but i still use my wood mount too. thanks for the blog candy

  313. I want to love clear mount stamps. I REALLY do, but at the end of the day I’m a BLOCKHEAD! For me there just isn’t anything better than the feel of the wood block.

Thanks for the chance @ the fabby blog candy!

  314. Heather M from Maine (the way life should be)

Mary: I love the clear mount stamps for the following reasons. Storage, thoughI wish there was an easier way of keeping track of the pieces. (I currently keep the piece of rubber the stamps come in, adhere it to the case using the non sticky side and sticky strip. I then peel the paper cover off and dust the sticky side with my embossing buddy as this allows me to see my stamp labels when I open the case). Placement-easy to see when I am stamping and lastly and most importantly the cost is a less thus allowing me more stamps for my crafting dollar!

  315. I love clear mount stamps…they are just easier. Easier to store, keep together, and don’t take up the room of a wood mounted stamp. Positioning clear mounted stamps on a project is easier too. I {heart} clear mounted stamps.

  316. Clear mount is my choice, less expensive and less space to store. Would prefer to never buy wood mount again! Thanks!

  317. I am slowly converting to clear because of the storage issue, but still feel more comfortable with the wood! I just love your work by the way! I found my self always liking your cards on Splitcoast and decided to check out your blog and I love it! Obviously, I would love to win too!

  318. I was sooo disappointed when I heard stampin up was going with clear mount…..until I tried them. I love the clear mount and will eventually convert over to all clear

  319. I love the clear mount stamps. The quality of the image is just as good as the wood mount and they are easier to store, line-up and combine. The fact that they are less expensive is a bonus!

  320. I like clear mount for lots of reasons! Space in storage being a big one, plus being able to see where you are stamping is wonderful!

Thanks for the chance at fun blog candy!

  321. Definitely clear mount. So easy to place in just the right spot. The blocks from Stampin Up make it even easier. The blocks are so smooth and easy to handle.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful talents

  322. Well for sentiments I prefer clear mount, it’s much easier to make sure everything is lining up. But for images I’ll use either if I like the image! Thanks for the chance to win!

  323. Clear is definitely the way to go! Easy to use, easy to store. The only draw back for me is assembling the large stamps, but it’s getting easier. Thanks for a chance to win the blog candy!

  324. I prefer clear mount.

  325. Susan J Carlson

I prefer the wood mount. I also love that I can just reach into a wood set and start stamping. I do like the clear mount because it takes up less space and because the images can be mounted simultaneously on one block. But for very precise stamping, I still use my stamp-a-ma-jig. I’ve had the clear mount slide off the blocks while cleaning them. But I did learn to trim the image stickers exposing a bit of cling. That helps solve that issue.

Also, as a demo I prefer to purchase some clear mount so my customers can see the difference. The quality of the stamped images is great. But I’ve run into problems planning stamp camps using multiple clear mount sets because I don’t have a lot of the blocks. My business is growing, so I may purchase more blocks.

Whew! Thanks for reading my long post!

  326. Mary —

Clear definitely are my favorite, but I think it’s due to the fact that they store so nicely!

    Barbara Chatzkel

  327. I’m going to have to go with the clear mounts. I can’t seem to match things up or keep things straignt otherwise.

  328. I love the clear mounts with Stampin’ UP blocks. They work very well.

  329. Hands down, clear mount is my favorite! I slso converted most of my wood mount sets to EZ Foam and LOVE all the extra space it gave me! I have a very small crafting space, so the space-saver is my biggest reason for going with clear mount stamps.

  330. Count me in on the Clear Mount, less expensive, better placement, less storage space.

  331. I have to decide if I want to use them for a card class or just to stamp my own creations. I have found it easier to use the wood mount when using in my stamping classes and clear mount for the convenience of storage for myself. So that is how I choose clear or wood! Love your stamping style, I am new at this so here’s to you for sharing and luck to me for blog candy πŸ™‚

  332. Clear, hands down. Easy to use, easy to assemble (don’t have to worry if it’s crooked or off center) AND easy to store!! I was so thrilled when Stampin’ Up! started clear mount. I love that they’re still rubber stamps.

  333. Mary,
I only have one set of clear mounts at this point, so I
don’t have much experience using them yet. I think the
storage aspect for clear is an advantage. But I have my wood stamps alphabetized so they’re organized for me. LOVE your blog – it’s the highlight of my day!
    Thanks for all you do!!!!!
    Geri

  334. I agree with all of the advantages of the clear mount. I just don’t have the heart to undo all of my wood stamps yet until I see how the the clear ones do over time. Love your blog and congratulations on being in the top 10!

  335. Mary, I love the clear mount. They save so much space and I love stamping with them!

  336. I love the wood mount first and foremost but the clear mount are growing on me now that Stampin Up has them.

  337. Clear Mount all the way!!! πŸ™‚

  338. I’m a traditionalist, LOVE the wood mount! However the afforability is VERY nice with the clear mount.
    Thanks for the candy!

  339. Hi Mary! I’m definitely a clear-block stamp fan because of the storage–my craft room is full to overflowing and I’m loving how the clear block stamp cases stack so neatly with the side labels clearly indicating what’s inside. Thanks for all your great ideas!

  340. I’ve just started working with clear mount stamps and I LOVE them. So much easier to see what you’re doing and storage is a dream.
Love your blog, Mary! We miss you in Wisconsin…GO BADGERS!!

  341. Mary – I prefer clear mount stamps for sure! They take up less room on my shelves and allow more precision when stamping! Thanks for all the great ideas on your blog. I read it every day!

  342. Although I love the wood mount, I will from here out order the clear mount. Not only can I store more in the same space, I can buy more sets with the same amount of money — and we all know more rubber is better……..
Thanks for the chance to win your cool candy.

  343. I am loving the new clear mount stamps! I can avoid some mistakes and they take up less room. Love all your work!!

  344. I am a wood stamper. I do own several clear mount stamps but if a stamp has a lot of detail or is over sized I will buy it in wood instead of clear. I can store and buy more clear mount stamps. πŸ™‚ but really prefer wood.

  345. I’m not quite a convert yet:) I still prefer my wood stamps:)

  346. Melissa Ilagan

Clear Mount all the way! I love the way that you can use the bigger clear blocks to make a collage out of the images and space them out however you like.

Thanks for the chance to win!

    Melissa

  347. Clear Stamps all the way !!AND, I LOVE how much CHEAPER they are than the wood ones !!THANK YOU for the chance to WIN the WONDERFUL candy blog !!!!!

  348. Oooh..hard to choose. I like the CLEAR mount better for positioning where you want your stamped image(s)
to “end up” πŸ™‚ as I call it,.. It’s SO nice seeing exactly where it is, but for some reason my stamped image looks better when I use the wood mounted ones.
    Dunno why tho ?? hahahaha

  349. Hi Mary,
I prefer clear mount stamps b/c they are cheaper, easier to store, and easier to see where you are stamping. I really like the quality of stamping up stamps. And, I love visiting your blog to get new, fresh, ideas. Thank you for all that you do and for the chance to win some blog candy.
    Judy B.

  350. Victoria Stevens

The clear mount for the storage issue and the wood mount for the sturdiness. I will keep the wood but, purchase the clear when possible. I enjoy your site very much. The blog candy looks good, hope I win.

  351. I like wood mounted stamps. I’m old and don’t like to change my way too much. πŸ˜‰

  352. Hi Mary,
You are my “daily” SU inspiration! I like the clear mount stamps…more room for more stamps!

  353. Nicole Tugrul

I like both but find that clear mount is easier to line up. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy..I really like that bag!

  354. I’m lovin’ the clear mount. They are easier to store. Thanks for the chance to win an awesome blog candy!

  355. I still prefer the wood mount stamps – apparently I’m old fashioned!

  356. The clear mounts are now my favorite! I was not sure at first but now I’m sold!! So easy to use and makes organizing a snap. Thanks Mary for all your beautiful cards and videos. I love them.

    Free

  357. I love all stamps! But I’m growing fond to the clear. Thanks for the opportunity to win your blog candy!

  358. Clear mounts as they take a LOT less space to store and are not as expensive to buy. I do love the sturdiness of wood mount but the cling have won over πŸ™‚

We are away around the day of the draw and not back until the 2nd….if I by some remote chance happen to win, I am a follower and would contact you immediately if I were home. Does that count…pleeeease πŸ™‚

  359. Oh, it’s clear mount. I like knowing where my image goes and I like that it allows more storage space for.. well, more stamps! I keep my clear mount stamps stuck on a laminated sheet where I stamp the image inside the lamination. Works great!

  360. Diane from RI

I prefer the clear mount. The reasons are many: price, ease of stamping and cleaning, placement on design, storage, but especially, no mounting! I love getting new stamps but I hate mounting them. I never get the design straight the first time. I always have to do it over (a few times). I have purchased some EZ mount to change over some of my old wood stamps, so it?s clear mount for me whenever available.

And, Mary, you are just the best! Thank you for all your help with my recent catalog issue. Much appreciated! The personalized service that you deliver is what makes you such a great SU demonstrator (not to mention all the inspitration as well).

  361. Mary, I like the clear mount. You can see better for placement, less expensive, and easier to store. Also saves some trees. πŸ™‚

  362. I was skeptical at first but have fallen in love with the clear mount stamps!

  363. I like both

    – I like the compact factor for clear mounted stamps. Clean up is a snap!
    – I love the hand feel of wood mounted stamps, and love the precision results with SAMJ

But I know that I love seeing your projects on this blog!! Thanks for sharing.

  364. Love your Blog, Mary! It’s the first thing I look at every day! I would have to say that right now I am loving the new clear mount stamps better for a few reasons! The 2 biggest being that they take up less space and I can get more sets for my mondy!! Woot!Woot! Thanks for all your inspiration and the wonderful blog candy!!

  365. I prefer clear stamps! Hooray for Stampin’ Up!, for releasing the clear stamps!!

  366. Mary, thanks for the chance to win. I still prefer wood stamps, but there are so many benefits to clear ones.

  367. Tanya Simpson

I have been purchasing more clear mount because the price allows me to buy even MORE stamp sets, but I will say that I really like sets that have lots of small stamps (ie. Every Little Bit) in wood mount, they’re just quicker to grab. So in a nutshell, you gotta have both!!

  368. Clear mount 100% They take up so much less space, I can so easily see where I’m positioning them, and (most importantly to me) they save the precious trees on our planet. Happy Friday! πŸ™‚

  369. I am seriously in love with clear-mount sets. I think SU made a smart decision in keeping the red rubber and foam together. I’ve used several brands of stamps and I’ve always loved the ease of use that cling stamps offer but I’ve never felt that the image result held up to the traditional wood mount stamps, particularly SU’s. Side by side, I personally see no difference in the way SU’s sets perform. The benefits of the new stamps, storage, price, ease of use and quality have made for a major win all around!

  370. Hi Heather! Would you be willing to share how you converted your wood mount stamps to clear? I’d love to do that to mine! Thanks!

  371. I love clear mount – I like to see that I am stamping in the right spot. I like that I can add different one to the block gives me more choice! I saw that some once converted the wood stamps – great idea I am going to try that!

  372. Thanks for the giveaway, I would love to win!! I like the clear mount and I love how Stampin Up designed theirs.

  373. De Williamson

Play date DSP is so cute. Thanks for offering blog candy. I recently intoduced my mom to your site. She saw your pic and loved your haircut. I told her you lived in the SW and she said “some people are so lucky”. Misssing all the beautiful scenery and great food.

  374. I definately prefer “clear mount”. They are awesome!! πŸ™‚

  375. I like the clear mount. Why? I like the easy storage and the packaging ( having the picture of the stamps on the spine of the case). It makes it easy to find and use.

  376. Clear mounts have many pluses, but I still think you get the best image from wood mount.

  377. Hi Mary!
Most definately love the clear mount stamps. The wood is still nice, but I love the fact that I can see where I’m stamping. πŸ˜‰ Thank you for the chance to win the fun candy.

  378. Hi Mary!

Lots of great comments here and I want to share my opinion on this too.

I have to be honest and say that I don’t really love one way over the other.

Although I have been “forced” to unmount my rubber stamps and have been doing so for YEARS – ran out of room and even unmount my wheels – there is something to the convenience of just grabbing a wood block mounted stamp and using it immediately.

There are downsides to both – wood mounts take up so much room when you have accumulated a “collection” and you can’t see where you are stamping when using them.

Cling mount stamps can be hard to keep track if they’re stored in bins (like mine are) and sometimes they don’t cling very well.

I too have experienced problems with clear/cling mount stamps falling off and ruining something but there are other methods to ensure that doesn’t happen.

I’ve also been in a class situation where I didn’t have the right block for the stamp I wanted to use.

Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages and neither one is ideal in my opinion!

  379. Thank you Mary for the offer and please put me in the drawing. I like that the clear mount stamps are priced less so I feel I can purchase more products each month. As for actually stamping, I like both becaise both are rubber and stamp equally well to me.
    Have a great week!

  380. I like the clear mount stamps. They save room on my shelf and it’s much easier to stamp them in the right spot on the page/card.

  381. I like clear mount so much better. They save room to store and is so much easier to use. Thanks for a chance to win some goodies.

  382. Because of space, I’m now leaning towards the clear mounts. I believe the wood mount has a better impression but with practice, the clear will give the benefits I’m after. Thanks for offering “blog” candy.

  383. i have to say it is CLEARN MOUNT FOR ME! I use to only buy the wood mount stamps, and found them to be easy to sue, but then Stampin Up! came out with the new clear mouns, I LOVE THEM…SO MUCH EASIER TO USE AND LIKE THE FACT THAT THE SPCE THEY SACE YOU, ADN THE DVD STYLE CASES ARE THE BEST. CLEARN MOUNT ALL THE WAY. I just wish they offered all their stams in both options, or switch to clear mounts for all. Someday maybe they will.

  384. Great blog candy! I love that bag!! πŸ™‚

  385. I love the clear mounts, easier to work with and less storage space. I find I made less mistakes too. But if I like something only offered in wood it wouldn’t stop me from buying it. Love you Blog, all the cards and tips you give us. Thanks for inspiring me. Susie

  386. Clear mount stamps for sure. I was in a real dilema right before the clear mount stamps arrived. I had so many stamp sets that I loved, but my stamp storage space was completely full. Either I could part with some of my existing sets so I could get new ones, or I could just not buy any new stamps. SU saved the day with the clear mount stamps, it is like they could read my mind and new what was going on. So, thanks to clear mount stamps, I can now store my new stamp sets in my former DVD storage shelf…..and I have room to buy so many more!!! Thanks SU for clear mount stamps!!

  387. I would LOVE to win! Thanks for the giveaways and sharing your awesome artwork with us!

  388. Miriam Daniels

I love the clear mount. AWESOME blog candy! I’m keeping my fingers crossed, because I soooooo love all the goodies you are offering!

  389. Oh, I love the clear mount! Space saving to store them and easier to place the stamped image right where I want it.

  390. I prefer clear mount stamps. I love the so much that I don’t even mount my wood stamps any more so that I can use them like clear mount stamps.

  391. I’m still a wood girl! Although I do use some of the clear, my favorite is the wood mounted. Thanks for the chance to win – I sure love your blog!

  392. I love the clear mount stamps! So much easier to store, easier to use… love, love, love them! Thanks for the great ideas!

  393. I steered clear (no pun intended) of the clear stamps for a long time because I had tried non clear stamps in the past and did not get clear images. I finally tried the clear stamps recently and love them. No more wood block mounted stamps for me. I love the space saving aspect ad well as how I can create custom images by grouping several stamps together on one block. I’m sold!

  394. Becky Vander Werff

I would have to say that I like the wood mounted better. Maybe it is because I have been using them for so long.

  395. aloha mary, this is a beautiful card! i can’t believe you cut out all those flowers!! i prefer clear mount stamps since you can see exactly where you are stamping. BUT…if there’s a stamp i LOVE and it’s wood mounted, i would still buy it.

  396. Oh… so hard to choose. I love the clear mount (because of space) but also love the wood mount. Are there any suggestions on how to get good coverage on the clear mounts? Do you need to put a cushion under your paper? Thanks for all your inspriation Mary…..

  397. I like the clear mount best. They’re easy to place and don’t take up much room. Thanks so much for your inspiring projects and video tutorials. Love them!

  398. Chani McMullin

I would have to say that both versions are great! SU! offers the best of the best. I would say that I am loving the clear stamps a lot lately! I love how they store and you can position on a larger block! πŸ™‚ PS. LOVE the blog !! Look daily! πŸ™‚

  399. All depends on the stamp, but I am starting to favor clear. Clear and wood mount each have advantages. Thanks for your great project ideas.

  400. Hi Mary,
I love the clear stamps. They are more affordable and easier to store. The other day I was using an old wood stamp and realized one more reason to go clear. I had somehow mounted the wooden stamp a bit crooked. WIth th clear stamps, I could hve corrected it. Thanks for the chance to win your blog candy.

  401. Without a doubt Clear Mount! They are great for seeing where your stamping. I love that I can place several stamps on one clear block and stamp once. Not to mention Storage is SO much easier.

  402. Another for clear mount. Takes up less space which is a plus when you have no craft room!

  403. It’s “clear” for me. Storage and placement on the paper are the big factors.

  404. I have a huge collection of wood mount stamps but I am in love with clear mount. It saves storage space and I can see where to position them!I’m only ordering clear mount on the ones available.

  405. I love the clear-mount stamps. They are so easy to use and store. I love the fact that you can see exactly where you are stamping, especially if you are trying to line up something.
I am waiting to purchase some other stamp sets in hopes that SU! will convert all sets to clear mount.
    Have a great day.

  406. I think clear-mount is far better; more versatile, more precise and easier to keep everthing clean (wood mount start to look dingy after a while).

  407. Clear is better to see with my dear…. =)

  408. Margie Porreco

Hi mary…..I prefer clear mount stamps – they are easier to place on the project and take much less room to store! I’d love to win your blog candy. Love your cards!

  409. I love the clear mount stamps. They are easier to place on the paper.

  410. Hi! I love my wood mount. I just don’t have the patience to assemble and switch out the stamps everytime I stamp an image. I like to grab and go. Thank you so much for your inspiration! Your blog is a daily stop.

  411. I prefer the clear mount. They are easier to position than the wood mount. They store a lot easier too! Take up less space.

  412. Wow, I love the storage convenience of the clear mount and for exact placement the clear mount are great, but I guess I still prefer the wood mount because if I am earning the stamp for free that is what I always choose.

By the way I love your blog and follow you daily. Your projects are always so clean and crisp. Just my style.
    Thanks for the inspiration!

  413. I prefer clear mounts. They are easier to position than wood mounts. They store a lot better and take up less room than wood mounts.

  414. Wow I have so many of both, and not sure if I have a favorite.. yet. I really do love the clear mount, except for the tiny stamps, then I’d prefer wood. I have a hard time making them stick to the blocks when they are so little, but I’m sure it’s just me. Storage savings wins hands down with the clear mount, but I would never even attempt to undo the wood collection I have. Wheww..
Thanks for a chance at the blog candy.

  415. I’m a clear mount girl! I love being able to see through the clear block to know exactly (or more exactly) where I’m placing my inky image. Not to mention the storage space savings. πŸ™‚

Thank you for sharing your wonderful creations!

  416. I like stampin’ ups clear mount as well as their blocks. They really have super products.

  417. [email protected]

Hi Mary – Clear mounts for price. Have a peaceful and productive day. – Jan Lenon

  418. I’m not a person who likes change and I love the wooden stamps. I “forced” myself to use the clear mounted stamps and really like them. The best part – room for more stamps!!!!

  419. Mary Jo McDaniel

I’m totally sold on clear mount! I love everything from the way they stamp to the way they store.

  420. Hi Mary,

I love the new clear stamp sets. They are cheapers, easier to store and nicer to put together. On the other hand I do have a problem with the very small stamps or the long thin stamps because they just don’t hold up when you are stamping (they get borders around them and that ruins the image) or trying to clean them.

Love the blog candy, send it my way! Please.

  421. Hi Mary,

I LOVE the clear-mount stamps. Storage is so much easier! Room for more stamps!

  422. I’m liking the clear mount stamps more & more each day. I like to be able to see through the stamp block onto my paper and images – it’s very helpful. I’m also liking the storage capabilities with clear stamps!
Thanks for your wonderful creativity! πŸ™‚
    Tammy

  423. how about option “c”? BOTH! If I absolutely had to choose, I guess I’d go with… clear. no-wood. clear? what a hard choice!!

  424. I think I prefer the clear mount stamps. It’s much easier to see where you are stamping. I still use my favorite wood sets though!

  425. I haven’t had a chance to try the clear mount yet, but in theory I think I’d like them better. I do love my wood mount Stampin’ Up stamps though. I guess I’ll need to order some clear mount stamps soon!

  426. Clear mount by far.

  427. Grace Lange-Way

    Hi Mary:

Even though the clear mount is easier to store I still prefer the wood mount stamps. A long time ago I became addicted to using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and with my wood mounts and for some unknown reason, that is still my preference

  428. I love love love the clear mount sets! They are much easier to store and organize! I keep them in a DVD rack right on my desk so I can see everything. And if I can see it, it means it will inspire me and I’ll use it much more often than if it’s hiding in a closet.

  429. Clear mount—storage reqmts are minimal, visibility to where stamping, can group stamps on one block, lower cost, …

  430. I’m “old fashioned.” I prefer wood! πŸ™‚

  431. I have to say clear-mount! It is easier to store and the display on the side lets you quickly see what stamps are in that set. Love this. Unfortunately I am very unhappy with the sticker that goes on the stamps. Once you put that on, the stamp doesn’t stick very well to the clear block anymore. I use the Stamp-a-majig a lot and if the stamp just shifts slightly on the clear block, the image won’t match up! Other companies (for example clear mount stamps from Stampendous) don’t seem to have that problem. At the moment I don’t use the sticker at all.

  432. I prefer the clear mount. They are easier to use and you can create one large stamp without having to measure and place each individual stamp. I am converting all my wood stamps to clear mount stamps.

  433. I prefer clear mount. They are so much easier to use and store. I am converting all of my wood mount stamps to clear mount.

  434. I’m getting used to the clear stamps. Much more accuracy with them I find.

  435. I am still on the fence with the clear mount. I definately prefer the wood mount for my verses and greetings as I like knowing they are going to stamp out straight as I have mounted them that way. Also some of the smaller verses and greetings tend to get “tippy” on the clear mount when stamped. Love the compact storage of the clear mount and order the clear with any set that has larger images and greetings.
Thanks for your super inspiring blog entries every day! Something I look forward to!

  436. I am trying to get used to the clear!! LOVE them for two step stamping!

  437. I think I would have to sat that I love the clear mount sets. I feel like you can do so much more especially when using words it makes it easier to make up any sentiment that you want and only have to stamp it once for example when using Fabulous Phrases. Thank you for the chance to win some blog candy.

  438. Love the clear mount. So much easier to stamp and so much easier to store with the new cases.Thank you Stampin Up!!

  439. Clear mount!!! Love the tote super cute!

  440. I like being able to see the image better on the wood stamps, but the clear stamps are better when you want to place the image in just the right place. Whan I buy stamps, I tend to get the clear ones if they are available. They are usually cheaper too, which means more stamps! Thanks for the chance to win!

  441. [email protected]

Clear mount, mostly because the storage is so awesome!!!

  442. Jennifer Wynne

I like clear mount better, although I have tons of wood – I need to get with the program and convert, convert, convert – – – Thanks for all of the tips – You Rock the Stampin House!!!

  443. i have both wood and clear. but i perfer clear mount.

  444. I like the clear mount for several reasons.

    Price point
    Easier to line up image
They don’t take up as much room

I recently found your blog and found the tutorials very helpful. Thank you for doing this.

  445. Personally, I LOVE the wood mount stamps however, budget enjoys the clear mount and so does storage. Thank you for all the inspiration from your blog.

  446. I like the clear mount – very simple to clean.

  447. I think I prefer clear because I like having control over where my image is placed. Too bad they aren’t all in either choice.

  448. Thank you for the opportunity to win some blog candy and for your daily creative inspiration.
I prefer the clear mount stamps and really wish that they could start to manufacture some of the old sets as clear. I won’t ever part with my existing wood sets though!

  449. I prefer the clear mount. I think its easier to see where I am staming. But I do still buy wood if the stamp set has alot of tiny stamps because I would lose them otherwise.

  450. I like the clear stamps, I didn’t think I would, but I got to using some I bought and now I like them!!!! I can see where I stamp!!!!

  451. Laura Fitzgerald

CLEAR! Not only is placement easier, but I can save a little $$$ on each set!

  452. I wasn’t sure at first, but now I just love the clear mount. They are crisp and clean and everything you got in the wooden block but without the bulk!

  453. Clear is my choice. THX

  454. [email protected]

I like the clear mounts…less space.
    Terri

  455. I am totally loving the new clear mount and don’t think I will ever buy wood mount again. They are easier to use and save so much room on storage!

  456. I prefer the sturdiness and feel of the wood mount.I love your website!

  457. Hello, I love the clear mount for many reasons,
    #1 They store way easy.
#2 You can see where you are stamping.
#3 You can mix and match.
#4 I don’t have enough time to tell you all the reasons
I need to get back to stamping.I love the owls they have come out with.

  458. Thanks for a chance at all the goodies. I prefer a clear mount, makes it easier to line up stamps and storage is much easier and I can buy more stamps……..works out just right…..:)…Pat

  459. I am LOVIN’ the clear mount stamps!

  460. I am going to have to go with clear mount. I always thought I would prefer wood mounted but now what I have been using clear mount I like them. It is nice to save on storage space and see where I am stamping. Thanks for the blog candy chance!
    Cindy

  461. I like the feel of the wooden handle more than the clear block, but I love the slim storage of the clear, so, I guess clear is my preference going forward.

  462. Thanks for the chance to win goodies. I prefer the clear mount stamps because its easier to line up. I also like the easier storage of clear mount stamps………pat

  463. I prefer the clear mount, only disadvantage is you need many blocks of each size so you don’t have to keep changing blocks back and fort when working on a project. I like the clear stamps especially words or sayings because you can bend them and use them in different ways. Thanks!!!

  464. You are so generous! I prefer wood for all my stamping. Except when scrappin I like to use alphabet clear mount stamps for titles.

  465. Definitely the clear mounts. I love ho easy they are to store and they dont take up much room. Plus it is easier to ge a quick view of all the stamps included int he particular set. Gotta loe the clear mounts!!!

  466. I have to admit that I was reluctant to try the clear mount after having bad luck with the rival company BUT…the SU clear mounts stamps are AMAZING quality and produce the same crisp image as the wood mount. Not to mention the storage!! Love them!! πŸ™‚

  467. Clear mount all the way! Easier to store!

  468. Love both but, for storage reasons mainly, have been buying clear mount. I am so glad SU! went with the rubber instead of acrylic because I really have trouble getting crisp images with the few of those I own. Thanks for the chance to win this awesome blog candy, too!!

  469. I definitely like the clear block, but like the rubber to stamp with like Stampin Up has. I think you get a better print with the rubber, but like the see thru block. The blog candy is great! I love the owl on the bag. Thanks to you Mary for your daily inspiration!!!
    Joan!!!

  470. CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!! I have been Stampin’ UP! for 10 years… I LOVE LOVE LOVE the clear!

  471. Clear mount if there are a lot of words in the set, but wood if there is a lot of small pieces or if it’s something you punch out. Overall though wood is my favorite.

  472. I prefer wood-mounted! That’s what I started out with and I just can’t seem to get away from them! Thanks so much! Love your blog!

  473. Love your blog and look forward to checking what you’ve come up with each day.

I prefer clear mount but agree with previous stampers who have said the the wood mount is easier to work with when the image is small.

  474. I like the clear mount stamps better because it’s easier to position them and they take up less storage space. My only problem with them is sometimes they come off the acrylic block as I am cleaning them, but that’s no biggie. Thanks for sharing your talent and ideas with us through your blog.

  475. I love the clear mount stamps! And, I love the SU! clear blocks.
Thanks for this chance to win and for your daily inspiration!!

  476. Love your blog and your cards – so creative.

  477. Clear-mount because of space saving, but sure wish SU! would come out with clear STAMPS to go with the clear blocks!

Thanks for sharing your creativity with the rest of us!
    d

  478. I like them both, but alas I am a creature of habit and still lean more toward the wood mount stamps.

Love your blog, check it daily, gives me GREAT ideas. Thanks for sharing!!

  479. Clara Macbeth

I think clear mount is much easier to use!… and thank you so much for all your wonderful stamping ideas. I always am inspired by your creations!

  480. I love the clear mount stamps. I didn’t think I would but I do. I just wish all of the stamp sets were offered in clear mount.
ps. I love your blog. You are a very talented artist!

  481. Clara Macbeth

I think clear mount is easier!… and thank you so much for all your stamping ideas. I am always inspired by your creations.

  482. I like both but price has made me move to clear mount. I kind of like the wood type because they are ready to go while clear mounts require an extra step.

  483. learning to like the clear but i love having them ready to use, so primarily i’m still a WOOD mount girl!

  484. My answer to our question is clear mount. I ran out of room for the wood mounts several years ago. The new SU clear mount boxes are great to see what stamps you have inside so I am clear mount all the way.

  485. I love ALL my stamps…for different reasons.
For ease in storage and project placement, the clear mount take the cake…
But I have some designs in wood, that I just love and would never part with…
I opt for clear mount now when I purchase, if available…but if there was a great design out there that I loved and it was only available on wood…then wood it is!
Love your work and appreciate your talents and the chance to win!

  486. I prefer wood mount because I love to stamp with my 7 year old niece and she just loves using the wood mount stamps!!

  487. I absolutely LOVE the clear stamps! It is much easier to line up and the storage space is so much less!!!
    Love Stampin Up!!!!

  488. Aislinn Chapotelle

I wasn’t sure if I would like the new clear blocks but after trying them…I LOVE them! The storage in my space is at a premium and having them so nicely packaged is a huge plus and being able to see through the blocks was something my customers have wanted for a long time. So, two thumbs up for the clear ones! I hope I have a shot at your awesome give-a-way. Thanks!

  489. Aislinn Chapotelle

I wasn’t sure if I would like the new clear blocks but after trying them…I LOVE them! So, two thumbs up for the clear ones! I hope I have a shot at your awesome give-a-way. Thanks!

  490. LOVE THE CLEAR MOUNT STAMPS. THEY ARE THE BEST.
EASY TO STORE AND THEY TRAVEL WELL.SO EASY TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND WITH OTHER STAMPERS. AND THEY ARE MISTAKE PROOF,AS I CAN ALWAYS SEE WHERE TO PLCE THEM ON MY PROJECTS.
I really like your blog;so much inspiration and talent. Thanks for the fun and the chance to win some “goodies”.

  491. wood mounted, but i’m a person who doesn’t like change;)

  492. Clear mounts are the best as I can see where I am placing the image. Thank you so much for your continued inspiration to be creative and to play!

  493. I have both clear mount and wood mount stamps, and after using both extensively, I’ll have to say I prefer wood mount.

    Wood mount is better when:
    * You have tiny stamps (like Rough Type) because they are easy to lose in clear mount, and harder to lose when they have a big wooden block stuck to them
    * You are switching back and forth between stamps. I have two copies of my most common clear mount blocks, but when I’m using stamps with a lot of parts (like Awash with Flowers), I hate having to unmount and remount stamps
    * You are cleaning the stamps. The largest clear-mount stamps may stick to their blocks when using the Stampin’ Scrub, but the little ones don’t have a chance.
    * A lot of people are using the stamps. At a workshop or just when friends get together, it’s better to have a mount for every stamp instead of a clear-mount block for every person.

  494. Old habits die hard, I still prefer the wood mounted.
Cute bag & cool blog candy, thanks for the chance to win it πŸ™‚

  495. Mary, Thanks for all your tutorials and information!! Also thanks for the chance to win these great goodies. πŸ™‚
    Lyn

  496. Clear mount…easier to store! Thank You Mary for a chance to win some blog candy!! Ciao, Gina

  497. I won’t buy a wood mount stamp set anymore. I love the uniform size of the clear mount stamps so I can easily alphabatize them and store them. I can also buy more since it takes up less storage!

  498. Marcia Bidwell

That is definately a tough one! It’s a toss up for me. I guess I’d have to say it depends on what project that I’m doing, although, I’m starting to really like working with the clear. Thanks for a chance to win. Thanks for sharing all of your great ideas with us!

  499. I’m new to this site and LOVE IT!!! You have such great ideas. I love the new clear stamp packaging. They are compact and the labels for the stamps are clear. You put a lot of time into your site, so thank you for that and thank you for the GREAT IDEAS!

  500. HI Mary…I love your blog read it everyday. I prefer the clear mounts. Thank you for the chance to win.
    Sharon King

  501. I prefer the clear mount stamps because it is so much easier for me to see where the image is going to be stamped.

  502. I prefer wood mount. I know it’s easier to stamp with the clear mount but I just hate putting them on and off all the time…I’ll stick with wood!

  503. Clear mount, hands down! Except for the single stamps, I love the wood mount for those as I have them all in this beautiful glass bowl sitting on my stamping table. It makes me use them more, because they are in plain sight. Seriously thinking of converting all of my thousands (ok, hundreds) to the clear mount – what a daunting task that will be.
Thanks for the chance of winning some blog candy, too!

  504. I like the clearmount ones, they take up SO much less space!

  505. I definitely prefer clear mount

  506. My vote is for the Clear-Mounted Stamps. I love Stampin’ Ups blocks, and I now have a complete set. The upside for me was the storage possibilities. I have limited space with the clear-mount I can have TRIPLE…the amount of stamps…WOHOO!

  507. Clear Mount 100%! So much easier to store and same great quality images. I don’t know if I will take the plunge and unmount all of my stamps from the wood blocks, though. Since the option has been available, I ONLY buy clear mount now!

  508. Clear-mount stamps – NO KA OI (in Hawaiian means “The best”). It’s so much easier knowing where the actual image will be stamped and I LOVE using the blocks! And of course, the nice and slim case is also a plus in my book!

  509. Tonya DePasquale

If it’s Stampin Up! you can’t go wrong. However I would have to say the Clear Mount only because they take up less space in storage and I can get a better view of where I’m stamping. Thank you so much!

  510. Tough question . . . I love the clear ones because you can see through them for positioning purposes. But I have always been a rubber stamp fan. I feel that are more durable and last longer. Do I have to choose my favorite?

  511. [email protected]

I love the clear mount!! I love having the ability to see exactly where you are stamping your images much easier than the wood mount. I also love the ‘space saving’ aspect of the clear mount stamp sets!!!!

  512. I love the clear-mount stamps, you can see what you are stamping much easier, however I have so many wonderful wood-mount stamps it’s hard to choose, what’s a girl to do? Love your blog.

  513. I am new to this site and absolutely LOVE IT!!! Thanks you for such great ideas Mary. I love the new packaging for the clear stamps. They are compact but the cases protect them and the labeling is so clear.

  514. CLEAR MOUNT! CLEAR MOUNT! CLEAR MOUNT! Did I mention I like the clear mount? πŸ™‚

  515. Ysenia Valencia

I just cant seem to get away from wood mount. I love the smell and the feel:) Ive tried the clear mount, but its just not the same in my book. Thank you for all your inspiration, my day is not complete until I visit your blog!

  516. I’m really getting into the clear mount rubber stamps. They are easier to see where to place the image, and I like the need for less storage.

  517. When I shop in a store, I prefer to buy clear. But when I’m shopping in the Stampin’ Up! catalog, if it comes only wood mounted, I’ll buy it!

  518. I am really getting into the clear mount stamps. They make it easier to place the image, and I like the need for less storage.

  519. I love the clear mounts! Positioning is easier plus storing is simplier. Less the pack for CROP events.

  520. I prefer clear mount mainly due to a smaller storage space required.

  521. I love clear stamps – I love the storage and the spine having a picture of every stamp. So much easier to decide and remember which one to use!

  522. Clear mounted so I was beyond the moon when SU! came out with clear mount stamps. Love the fact that I don’t have to deal with wood blocks anymore and storing wood mount stamps!

  523. Chris R. from Iowa

I’m saving a tree or two – I love the clear mount! Love to see what I am doing moreso than with wood. Easier to store for me also. Plus, I like the lower price! I am tempted to convert the ones I have not wood mounted to this system. Hey, then I can decorate the blocks for the holidays (i.e. JOY, NOEL, etc) or make the words CREATE out of them to give to friends so the wood blocks aren’t just thrown in a box. Love your blog and your projects!

  524. Crafty Badger

I was skeptical about the clear mount stamps at first, but after trying them I’m sold. I still like wood, but the clear mounts just save so much space!

  525. I love the wood mounts, but I sure can buy more stamps with the money I save buying clear mounts. A little rationalization goes a long way! :o)

  526. I am newer to stamping and I prefer the clear stamps. I have not had much experience or training with stamping, so I first tried the clear stamps, since they were less expensive, and they are easier for me. I like being able to combine stamps on the block and also being able to see what I am doing! Storage is great with the clear ones too! Thanks for all you share on your blog and this blog candy opportunity!

  527. I am buying all clear mount now. Space is the main issue but I like being able to see to stamp too!!!

  528. I for sure heart the new Clear Mount stamps!! I just love the way SU puts the sticker on there so you can still see where to stamp. Thanks for the chance!!

  529. I am a fan of the clear stamps — I like being able to see where I am stamping and the stampamajig and I don’t always work well together!

Thank you for the chance to win blog candy!! DP is my #1 weakness so I would have a ball with it… and everything else!

    Anne

  530. Clear mount definitely! Easier to use and easier storage!

  531. I have yet to try the stampin up clear mount stamps!!! I am ashamed to say it but it is true…so I guess I am a wood girl all the way

  532. Gosh, I don’t know. I am leaning more towards clear-mount these days though. Storage is much easier, and I love the packaging. Howver, I am always afraid I am going to lose a stamp out of the box someday ;0

Thanks for a chance to win…cool stuff!

  533. I really prefer the wood mount hands down. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  534. Carolyn Sue Groves

I really love the clear stamps.
I enjoy your blog so much, I look forward to it every day.
    Blog candy looks delish!

  535. I prefer the wood mounted stamos hands down. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  536. Clear Mount all the way. I was disappointed to see that not all the new SU sets are offered in the clear mount. I love them for not only their space saving capabilities but their lower cost, saving trees and easy of use with accurate stamping. Thanks for the chance to win, I read you in my Google reader every time you post.

  537. Mary,

This is actually a difficult question for me, because I have not completely made up my mind yet. I think I prefer the new clear mount, but still hold tight to my wood mounted ones. I like how at class people dont have to change out the stamps on the clear blocks & are waiting on one another. I also like the way you can really scrub the wood blocked stamps. I think in the end I will adjust to these things & the clear mount benefits will outrule the wood blocks. Thank you for the chance to win blog candy!

  538. I prefer wood mount because when I am making cards, I grab from various stamp sets and I don’t want to have to stop and mount or remount stamps. It just works for me.

  539. I’m growing to love the clear mount more and more. So many ways to create consistent images!

  540. I would love to know how you converted the clear mounts, Heather.

  541. I am crazy on the clear mounts. I just put in an order for the clear mount case and can not wait for it to arrive. I have only a few wood mounts since I have only known about Stampin Up for a little over a year. The benefits of the clear mounts are easily noticed and I have found them easier to keep clean.

  542. Sandy (redstampinsam)

In a perfect world where I have no space constraints, I prefer wood mount. In my real world, however, I’m glad SU has gone to clear mount so I keep up with my addiction without fear of having to make a guest appearance on that reality TV show about hoarders! I’m not sure I’m going to change my hundreds of old sets to clear mount, but at least I have the option to do so if I need to.

  543. I prefer wood-mounted stamps. I don’t like to take the time to assemble clear stamps when I am trying to be creative! I also think that they are easier to clean.

  544. Definitely the clear mount. Keeping the whole piece of rubber has really helped. Mounted stamps go right back in the place they were punched out of so they are easier to locate (they don’t roll all around the container). It is also quick and easy to see when one is missing.

  545. I’m SO HAPPY they now sell the clear mount stamps! They work great and store so very much better!

  546. Honestly, I’m on the fence. I like that clear sets take up less space when not in use and I like to see, sort of, where I’m stamping through the clear block, but I feel like I am having to touch the stamp too much with my hands and fingers, and I fear this will affect the longevity of the stamp. Also, it takes more time to get going. You have a couple extra steps before you get to the ink. The wood block stamps I think will last longer (I could be wrong), and get you stamping quicker. I am glad Stampin’ Up did not go with acrylic stamps because I’ve tried those and did not like them. You have to touch them way too much for normal use. They stain right away (and I’m a fanatic about cleaning my stamps). They turn yellow and have a chemical smell after a while. I loved being able to see exactly where I stamp, but the other factors outweighed that. I will always be a loyal Stampin’ Up customer because of their quality products and wonderful designs, in both paper and stamps.

  547. Mary- What a fun stack of paper you are giving away! I love the clear stamps because I can mix and match and line them up so easily πŸ™‚

  548. Yeah for blog candy! Thank you.

I have to say wood… I think it’s because I am the most familiar with wood.

  549. I prefer clear mount, easier to line up, and can make designs easier, when you have a big block to mount them on.

  550. I am downsizing to a smaller home so at this point in my life I prefer the unmounted stamps just to save the space. They are just as easy to use and work just as good! I love your blog and great ideas!

  551. I am liking the unmounted stamps just for the sake of saving space. We are downsizing and I have a little bitty space now for stamping so the unmounted system works great. Love your blog and great ideas!

  552. I prefer the clear mount because the storage is minimal compared to wood mount. I wish I could change all of mine to clear.

  553. Definitely the clear mount….saves lot of space and I think they actually stamp a little better. Clear mount is all I buy if available.

  554. Right now I love the Wood mount sets because they are quicker. I don’t have to look for the piece to mount it to before I stamp!

  555. Absolutely CLEAR!! I love being able to see exactly where it is positioned on the page.

  556. Thanks for the inspiration! I like wood mounts, they are easier for me to keep track of on my desk!

  557. Brittney Vaughn

I am definitely a wood mount kind of girl. I don’t know what the hold back is, but I simply can’t convert.

  558. I prefer clear mount. I like seeing exactly where my stamp is.

  559. Definitely the clear mount. I always like saving a little money – it means I can buy more!

  560. I love the clear mounted for the advantage of storage and cost!

  561. I’m still on the fence. Both have advantages & disadvantages. I like the clear for it’s storage and pricing. I like the wood for stability and cleaning. Maybe the best thing I like is that we have a choice.

Thanks for all you do to keep us inspired.

  562. Definitely clear mount…so much easier to see what I’m doing & they cost less too!!

  563. Hi Mary, I rather the clear mount. They take up less space, they are cheaper, and you can see where you are stamping. Thank you for a chance to win great blog candy. You are a fantastic crafter. I love your work. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.

  564. I definitly prefer the clear mount stamps. I love being able to see where they are placed on projects. Also, storing them saves space. Thanks for sharing your inspirational work with us.

  565. Definitely clear mount. I wish the single stamps were clear mount too.

  566. I love the clear mount stamps because it is easier to place them on projects when stamping. Also, I save space with storage. Thanks for sharing your inspirational work with us!

  567. Love, Love, Love the Clear Mounts!

  568. I definitely prefer the wood mount stamps, stamp can shift on the clear mount.

  569. I only have a few of the new clear stamps, but they are great! So easy to see exactly where you are placing the stamp. Storage is great, too!

  570. I think wood mount will always be my favorite just b/c there’s great control already built-in. Once mounted, it’s so easy to grab the set you want to use and stamp! No looking for the “right” block for your certain stamps. Less mess.

  571. First, thanks Mary for the opportuniy to win the blog candy. Hands down I like the clear mount the best. I have many brands of stamps but I always liked SU for the quality of the image they stamp. Now with the clear mount you get both. The ability to see what you are doing and that great quality of the rubber!

  572. I love the new clear mount stamps sets. Soooo easy to store. I have a three shelf bookcase in my craft room. I look forward to filling it with the clear mounts.
    thanks, Donna

I like both but i think i prefer the wooden over the clear:)

  574. I’ve been using my SU! stamps as clear mount for about 4 years now – CLEARly my favorite!

  575. I’ve gotten some clear mount stamps and I kinda like them! But, I still really like the wood mount. I guess the one good this is that the clear mount save space. Any stamp is a good stamp tho! πŸ™‚

  576. I prefer the clear mount for all of the reasons previously posted but especially the storage…I like everything neat and tidy! Thanks!

  577. I definitely like the clear mount. It simply makes stamping easier because you’re able to see where you’re stamping. You can also arrange seveal images on one stamp to make a more creative project.

  578. Definitely clear mount! They work wonderfully and save so much space!

  579. Clear mount, clear mount, clear mount! No more crooked sentiments or off-kilter flower stems that don’t quite match up to the flower! Besides, you can add more than one sentiment/design on the block.

  580. Clear mounts definitely. I like to be able to see where my image is going. Also, they’re cheaper!! Thanks for a chance to win some wonderful candy.
    Babe

  581. Love them both. Find clear is easier than using a stamp-a-ma-jig. Will not unmount my wood stamps, though. Love the storage space saved with clear also

  582. Barbara Comfort

I really like al of Stampin Ups stamps, they clean up nicely. I will vote CLEAR. Thanks for the opportunity to voice my choice. Barb

  583. Emily Herndon

Clear mount – the storage is great! I am working on converting to all clear mount.

  584. It’s clear mount for me!

  585. I am glad that Stampin’ Up! stayed with the red rubber, instead of going all the way with an acrylic stamp. I love red rubber, and would not have converted to the acrylic stamps at all. I love all of the unmounted sets I have bought!
Thank you, Mary! I love that bag!! πŸ™‚

  586. I absolutely LOVE the clear mounts. Love being able to see where I’m putting the image, able to place several stamps on one block and stamp once, love the uniform storage cases, love being able to see the images of the stamps on the outside of the cases… the list goes on. Need I say more? πŸ™‚ Thanks for a chance to win blog candy!

  587. Hi Mary, I would have to say clear mouny stamps have won me over. They are easy to store and I can make room for more. Thanks for your wonderful creations. Always a great treat.

  588. Although I love how budget friendly clear mount stamps are, I do prefer wood mount. All the set that I know I will use frequently, I purchase wood mount. The only exception is for two-step sets, clear is MUCH easier to use!

  589. B. I still adore the wood mount stamps. I like that they are ready to use and the easy to clean.

  590. 100% wood mount…I know I’m probably in the minority, but it just feels right πŸ™‚ I don’t mind the extra step of using the stamp-a-ma-jig!

  591. Some great blog candy! I prefer the clear mount, makes placement much easier for me.

  592. I definitely prefer wood mount! I have some clear mount stamps, but I don’t use them much. I think that wood mount are quicker and easier to use!

  593. I love the clear-mount stamps! They take up less space and have little thumbnail images on the side so you can see all the stamps that are included in the set.

  594. Jennie in the Big City

I absolutely love the clear mount stamps! As a city-dweller with very limited crafting space I was so excited when SU launched them. And my customers love them too!

  595. I prefer the clear mount stamps, but there are a lot of sets that I want yet that are only available in wood. The sets where I have a choice, I get the clear mount.

  596. I love the clear mount stamps and buy the clear-mount SU! sets whenever available. I have mounted my previously unmounted stamps on clear staic-cling vinyl. There are no labels but it doesn’t bother me that much. I have found it easy to remount older non-diecut wood sets on new foam that has cling but find the diecut ones more difficult to remount on thick new foam due to the rounded shapes. As A SU! demonstrator you can imagine the collection of stamps I have! Remounting them or buying clear mount saved me a lot of storage space!

  597. I love the clear mount stamps. It is so nice to be able to see where you are stamping. And, they take less storage room.

  598. Love the price savings of the clear mount!

  599. I always knew your blog was popular, but almost 600 comments already??? Was a bit reluctant to try clear mount as I was satisfied with the wood-mount sets I already had. However, I now realize the clear mount has its advantages: less storage, less expensive (once you buy the blocks), easier placement without the Stamp-a-ma-jig, and versatility allowing more than one stamp on the block and use of multiple inks. Think I’ve been converted and hope I win your fabulous blog candy. Thanks for your inspiration and generosity!

  600. I love clear mount! Storage, aligning images, flexibility on what you can stamp together on one block! Its great πŸ™‚ and love those SU clear blocks too πŸ™‚

  601. There are so many pros and cons to both. The important thing to me is the quality of Stampin’ Up rubber that produces clear crisp images. I LOVE the storage space I save with clear mount, but I don’t like having to mount them to the blocks every time I want to use them. I also have to remake my Stamp a ma jig sheet every time. With wood mount I make my Stamp a ma jig sheets on velum and keep them in the case.

  602. Shirley Adiaz

I love the clear mounted coz it consumes less space and doesn’t require tedious mounting. =)

  603. While the clear-mount stamps are mighty tempting – especially when the price difference is quite significant, I prefer the old-fashioned wooden sets. My hands are little unsteady, so foregoing one more step is easier for me. When I’m ready to stamp (and when am I not?!?), using wood-mount stamps allows me to get down to business.

Great question – interesting to read the very varied replies!

  604. Clear mount is the way to go! Storage and cheaper price. What is not to love? And think of all the trees we are saving!

  605. I like that the clear mount stamps are cheaper and take up less room so I will probably buy those from now on. I love that Stampin Up has given us this option! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!

  606. I prefer the wood mount for sure! They are easier to use (don’t slide at all) and easier to clean (can scrub hard without losing stamp, and don’t have to clean any blocks between stamping)! I have a few clear mounts, but definitely prefer wood blocks!

  607. Marisa Cibirka

Hmmmmmm! Clear mount or wood mount? Just put either in my hands and I’m a happy stamper πŸ˜‰

  608. Oh Miss Mary, decisions, decisions. I just can’t choose and say that I prefer one over the other. I love them both!

  609. I prefer the clear stamps for 2 reasons: 1. I’m able to see the placement of the stamp through the acrylic block and clear stamp and 2. The storage is more compact.

Thanks for all your inspirations! I love your work!

  610. I wonder if your blog readers’ opinion is showing about the same percentage as SU is getting on sales of clear versus wood? Would be fun to know. Anyway, I’m in the “clear”! Storage, cheaper, and you can “see where you’re going”.

  611. Clear mount! Though I LOVE the feel of wood in my hands, clear mount makes lining images up easier, is cheaper AND a space saver! I am soooo glad SU came out with CLEAR MOUNT! –Mom and I are starting to convert our retired stamps to clear mount as well.

  612. Clear mount stamps are the way to go for me. Easy for 2-step stampin’ & much easier storage. I’ve learned a way to convert new wood mount sets to clear mount so I can still buy wood mount & a 4-pk of dvd storage cases and I’m all set. Thanks for the chance to win b-candy.

  613. I prefeer the clear. I don’t make as many mistakes with placement.Plus much easier to store. Thank you for the chance to win such beautiful items.

  614. I prefer the clear mount for better placement and easier to store. Thanks for the chance to win such a nice gift.

  615. I love the Clear Mount and if I had a choice with all my stamps from now on, it will be the clear mounts that I will buy, for sure!

It’s easier to store and it’s very light.

  616. I prefer the clear mounted stamps. They take up less storage space and they are so much easier to see where you are stamping!

  617. Clear mount stamp sets. They are much easier to store.

  618. Hi Mary,
Wonderful candy!! I just switched over to clear stamps. I love the way you can see where you are stamping them. And the flat storing of them is great too.

  619. Love the clear mount! Also, love your blog!

  620. I’m loving the clear mount stamps. Also loving the little amount of space they take up πŸ™‚

  621. Mary (Happy Now)

Love that tote, so I’ll play! πŸ™‚ Clear mount for me!

Thanks, and have a great weekend!

  622. Clear mount stamps win for me. Due to ease of storage and ability to line up for a layout. But still treasure the wood mounts I have!

  623. Hi Mary

Love to read your blog daily ! You are an amazing talent! I prefer the new clear mount stamps because they are lighter to carry, easier to store(less space required) and no need for a stamp a ma jig!

  624. You are my daily inspiration! Can I get adopted into your downline???? I am starting to prefer clear mount. (A little bit of a passive answer, I know)

  625. Nicole Wellensiek

At first I wasn’t sure I was loving the clear mounts, but the more I have used them, the more I like them. I definitely LOVE that they are much easier to store. So, I think I have to say Clear mount! Thanks for all the inspiration!

  626. Wow…it’s hard to say…love the clear mount for the price and efficient storage, but I don’t like putting the stickers on them I always mess it up! =-)

  627. I love the clear stamps but find the small ones hard to use so sometimes I get them on the wood blocks. I am torn!!

Love your blog as you always have such great ideas and suggestions. Thank you.

  628. [email protected]

I love the clear-mounts as they take up less space in storage. I am able to see how they are going on to the paper. I order the clear stamps and I love that they are cheaper.
Love my daily visit to your site to see what’s new.

  629. Kelley Roganowicz

I really like the new clear stamps. I am much more “on-target” when I stamp. I need to purchase a second set of the blocks though. I find myself constantly changing stamps and blocks when trying to do multiple projects.
I also like the way the clear-mount stamps are stored. They are so much more user-friendly. I have mine stored on a DVD rack, and can see at a glance what is in each case, as opposed to my wood-mount stamps. They are in piles on a table, and I have to hunt for a stamp I want. It’s even worse when I don’t have a specific stamp in mind and have to search through every set of wood-mount stamps for an appropriate stamp.
Thanks for the chance to win blog candy and for the daily emails. I especially loved your tutorials for organizing paper and other items. I’m constantly looking for new and better ways to organize my supplies. Any great ideas for punches? πŸ™‚

  630. Clear-mount all the way for me. I’ve even started converting my wood-mount stamps!

  631. Mary Carol Henderson

I am used to the wood mounted but to save money and space I believe I will experiment with clear. Stampin’ UP’s clear blocks fit well in the hand and seem to keep the stamp stuck.

  632. I have to say I LOVE the clear mount stamps. They do not take up nearly as much space as the wood mount so I can buy more πŸ™‚

  633. Clear mount – I am in love! They take up less space and I can position much better -without having to take out the stamp a ma jig every time =)

  634. Hmm…although I enjoy them both, I have to say for some reason I seem to get a more crisp image with the wood mount, but the clear is to die for because I can always see where I am stamping and the storage is so much more suitable than the wood mounted. So, I guess I have to say the CLEAR MOUNT !

  635. It’s clear mount for me. Easier to see what and where you’re stamping, they’re cheaper, and smaller packaging cuts down on storage space. Now to find time to convert all my wood sets to acrylic. Thanks Mary for your blog and the chance to win some great blog candy!

  636. My heart still pines ( get it..pine?? Crackin’ up here! LOL) for wood–but the ease of clear ROCKS! πŸ™‚

  637. I guess I would say I like the clear mount stamps, but I also like the wood mounts for certain projects.

  638. I like the clear stamps, less expensive, easy to use, but I love the wood ones also.

  639. Clear mount! I have no hand-eye-coordination. Clear mount stamps help!!!

  640. I am growing more fond of Clear stamps because I can store more in less space and they are less expensive. I still Prefer Wood for the way they feel in my hand and the fact that when I am ready to stamp … they are ready to stamp. ~:-)

  641. I think I like them equally. I didn’t know if I would like the clear mounts, but after using them I do. Thanks for the chance to win. :o)

  642. Holly Denghel

It actually depends on the set. For sentiments, I like the clear mounts so I can see where I’m stamping without having to use my stamp a ma jig. However, when there are lots of smaller pieces, I prefer the wood mounts. It’s too easy to lose the little pieces when its a clear-mount set!!

  643. Wood for me, but I tried the clear mount for the first time last weekend…just may get a set in clear and have a go at it! Thanks for the inspiration!

  644. hmmm.. I am starting to like the clear mount but still prefer the wood mount. However, I find myself getting 1/2 woodmounts and 1/2 clearmounts. Thanks for the chance to play. Love visiting your blog daily for some inspiration!!

  645. Clear mount are great! I use a bit of repositionable adhesive to keep them on the block. They are also very easy to store. Love them:)

  646. I am just starting out and my space is very limited. That being said, I prefer the clear stamps for ease of storage and also the price difference. So far everything that I have purchased is clear mounted unless there was no choice and I had to get the wood mounted. I do like that it is easier to see where I am placing my image with the clear. Also, the clear are easier to me to assemble when I first get them. I think the wood mounted are a little tricky to mount. But I haven’t had much practice. I think the blog candy is so cute. This is my first comment I have ever posted on a blog. I check your blog every day. You have such beautiful ideas.

    Amy P.

  647. I still like my wood stamps but have some clear mount ones. The price for some of the stamps are less for the clear so I go for them. I am still spoiled with the wooden ones. Of course the clear stamps take up less space. Thanks for your blog, you are such an inspiration to others and I look forward to what you post daily πŸ™‚

  648. Debbie Scudder

I WANT TO BE A WOOD GIRL but THE CLEAR STAMPS HAVE SO MANY ADVANTAGES…easier to use, storage and “something new & different” plus cheaper…to name a few. Guess I will have some of both kinds…Thanks for your blog- I’m in Alaska so I look at it frequently…dreaming of your HOT weather and great ideas.

  649. Clear mount! True believer. I love being able to see exactly what I’m doing.

  650. I love the SU clear mount because they are still rubber stamps — crisper images than most acrylic, IMHO!

  651. I love the clear mount, they are so easy to work with! and they save alot more space, but I wouldn’t give up my wood mounted stamps as that is what we are used too.
Great blog candy, thank you for a chance to win!!!!!

  652. I like them both, but only SU! clear mount. I have tryed others on the market, but these give the best stamp. And I can see what I am doing! But I will not be replacing my wood mounts!! A little of both!! Thank you for you blog you do amazing work!!

  653. I like my wood mounts as they are, but I love the space saving aspect of clear mounts! I’ve been buying mostly clear mounts since the option became available. Thanks for the chance to win!

  654. Londra Fleming

I am old fashioned I guess. I love the wood stamps. I want to be able to pull out a set and use them without too much fuss and the wood ones work for me!

  655. Haven’t tried the clear mount much, but they seem like a nice option especially for the easier storage and the ability to line things up better. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas!!!

  656. Mary, as much as i love the woodmount….the clear mount is just fantastic!!! Everything from the storage and being able to see exactly where your stamping is just awesome. Thanks for the opportunity to win πŸ™‚

  657. I have always loved my wood mount stamps…I have not tried the SU clear mounts yet, but have tried other brands. I like the wood mount the best πŸ™‚

  658. Hi, Hope this helps….I press & hold my clear block down onto the back of a clear stamp for 10 seconds. That should hold it securely through stamping & cleaning. Press & Hold is the Key.

  659. Hands down I’m a clear mount fan. The ability to group multiple stamps together on one block and the ease of placement without resorting to my SAMJ are two of the best reasons. With a grouping I can stamp multiples (can anyone say easy swaps!) quickly and with precise results. And the cost savings don’t hurt either. I’ve been slowly converting many of my wood mount stamps now that I found a simple and economical method from Jaydee on her blog post here – http://www.jaydeestamping.com/weblog/2010/02/happy-moments-unmounting-wood-mount-stamps-to-be-clear-mount-usable-tutorial.html

Thanks for sharing the delicious blog candy. You’ve had so many responses my browser almost refused to load the comment page!

Hugs and blessings for sharing all your incredible talent and inspiration.

  660. I LOVE the clear stamps!
    Easy to stamp and store!

  661. Stacey Carter

    Wood!!!! Thanks for the chance.

  662. I so love the new clear mount! And, I love the space & money it saves! Wow! Thank you for your generosity with the blog candy, but most of all, your creativity!
    Debra

  663. [email protected]

Definitely clear mount! Me encantan! I love that they are easier to store and that you can make you own collage with them!

  664. Melissa Mulder

I totally love the new clear mount stamps!! I can’t even bring myself to buy the wood ones anymore. They are much more economical (aka I can buy even more sets!) and they take up less space allowing me to be more organized! Thanks for the opportunity to win some blog candy!! πŸ™‚

  665. Mary,
I absolutely LOVE all your cards!!! You are so organized too. Thanks for the opportunity to win the blog candy. Ooh almost forgot, I like the clear mount stamps because they are sooo much easier to use and store.

  666. My latest favorite is the clear mount. I LOVE how compact the storage is and I love how easy lining up the images are. I also love being able to attach several images to the large acrylic block so I can create my own phrase in one fell swoop! By the way, I love the shopping bag and hope I win it πŸ™‚

  667. I prefer clear mount for storage reasons. I have tons of wood mount though. Thanks for the blog candy offering…

  668. Heather Campbell

I’m still partial to the wood blocks. I have a hard time with change :).

  669. I love the clear mounts. It is so much easier for me to see where I am stamping and the storage issue is a big plus for me in my small crafting area. Thanks so much for the chance to win some yummy blog candy. Love your work it is awesome!!!

    Sonia R

  670. I love the clear mount. It makes storage so much easier. I really like the cases for the too. Thank you for the chance to win ~ great blog candy

  671. Phyllis Rademacher

I love all stamps. But I have come to really love StampinUp’s new clear mount stamps. They are super easy to assemble, and take up less space. Yet they are the same high quality product we know we will get from Stampin Up!
Mary, your designs are wonderful. You are sooo talented.

  672. I am in the midst of converting so I’m on the fence, I’m trying to figure out a system of organizing the clear mount–it’s way different than wood mount.
But I’m goin for it, I like CLEAR MOUNT.

  673. I DEFINITELY prefer clear mount!! They take up less room (so I can buy more and not look like a stamp freak…although I am!!) and they are easier to place exactly where you want them….they’re just better in EVERY way!! I would SOOOO love to win this blog candy!!!!!

  674. I like both and can’t decide. Clear mount wins for price and storage.
What I like about my wood mounts is I know exactly where that image is going to land, because the rubber mount doesn’t change. With clear mount, I seem to mount it in a slightly different place each time. It’s hard to know where I am stamping with the clear mount, even tho that is it’s selling point.

  675. I love the clear-mount best. It takes less storage space they cost less and when I stamp I make less mistakes. that adds up WINNER to me!!!

  676. The clear mount are the easiest to place when creating. That’s why I like them the best! I never thought about converting my wood stamps to clear, but that is clever way to conserve space. My hobby seems to be growing and I find it everywhere in my house. Love the organization videos and the classy cards you make. Thank you, Diane
