Things I Love PPA25

Stampin up things i love duo

Are you ready to play the PPA?  This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA25) is inspired by the delectable treat below.  The Pals Paper Arts Design Team has drummed up more delicious papercrafts.  Woo hoo . . . there's blog candy this week, too.  Click here for details.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up things i love chocolate bon bon card More Sale-A-Bration choices than ever!  There are over 75 additional gift options (one free gift for every $50 in product you spend) on p. 11 of the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  Click to download Sale-A-Bration.
  • The Things I Love stamp set I used today is listed on page 11 as one of the freebies!
  • Need a hug?  I sure did.  The new Hugs notes on p. 19 of the new Occasions Mini Catalog work solo or as the perfect Whisper White scalloped rectangle backing my sentiment.  Groovy.
  • The finished size of this card is 4" x 4".
  • The Clear Pillow Box is created with a Big Shot, the Pillow Box Bigz Die and Window Sheets Medium.  I used Mini Glue Dots (103683) to adhere (inconspicuously)
  • 1" wide strips of Chocolate Chip Designer Series Paper are wrapped around the Hershey's Nuggets.

DO IT YOURSELF ENVELOPE:

I adore coordinating envelopes.  Adding texture to an envie flap or tucking in a pretty envelope liner adds a delightful polish.  Ready to create the whole kahuna?  It's easier than you think.

Stampin up chocolate chip designer series envelope template
  • Take any existing envelope and carefully take it apart.  Voila!  You have a template that you can reuse.  I started with a 4.25 x 4.25 envelope (sacrificed for "the cause" from Stampin' Up!'s Fresh-Cut Notes set, 111882)
  • I used Dotto removable adhesive to attach Chocolate Chip Designer Series Paper to my envelope template. Take extra care to get adhesive close to the edges of the template.  This keeps things in place better.
  • You can either trace first or be brave and carefully cut the designer paper while the template and paper are still attached (my impatient method).
  • Peel off the template.  Fold and adhere and there you have it!
  • When you are ready to seal the envelope, just add a touch of adhesive and you're done.

  4. what a wonderful idea to make your own matching envelope, “good sacrifice” :). The card is just lovely with the embossing folder “Which is on my wish list” and that ribbon is like gravy on my potatoes. Have a great day.

Dear R: Gravy on your potatoes? Delicious comment. I love the analogy. Hugs, M
