Simply Charming

Let me introduce you to my first charm and chain from Stampin' Up!'s Simply Adorned Jewelry line.  Combine these new charms with your love of paper crafting and you have an infinite number of looks–so define your mood and start crafting.

The locket-style charms with hinges are perfect for tucking in what I consider "micro cards."  I created three different styles of "micro cards" above.  TIP:  For a quick and balanced 1 x 1" square, I used a 1 1/4" Square Punch and cropped each side by 1/4".

The necklace charms come in two sizes of rectangles plus the 1 x 1" square that I purchased.  TIP:  The 1 x 1" dimension is the size of the insert.  In addition, 5/8" circle and square charms (also locket-style) are available.  They're absolutely sumptuous on the Simply Adorned Bracelet (117342).  Click here for full details on Simply Adorned jewelry (also featured on page 28 of the Occasions Mini).

The coordinating chains are offered in 24" (116800) and 34" (116853).  I ordered the longer of the two so that I could double it up . . . but have every intention of grabbing the 24" for a change-up.  My hubby was "hired" to be photographer today.  Thanks, Scott!  TIP:  The chain clasp and charm SHOULD show.  They are so classy.

Vintage Vavoom (bottom left):  Vintage Vogue Stamp Set (117690, Occasions Mini), Brushed Gold (102935) and Brushed Silver  (100712) Card Stock, Basic Black Ink (101179), Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die (118138, Occasions Mini), Clear Rhinestone Brad (113144)

Fresh and Friendly (right):  Tiny Tags Stamp Set (118091 Wood-Mount, 118592 Clear-Mount, Occasions Mini), Whisper White Card Stock(100730), Jet Black Stazon Ink (101406), Extra Large 2-Step Bird (117191, Occasions Mini), Vintage Brads (109109)

IMPORTANT TIP:  To avoid scratching or a too tight fit inside the charm, I removed my rhinestone from the brad before adhering (Very Vintage) and cropped the legs off the black brad (Fresh and Friendly).  Just to be safe, you may want to use only paper and ink and keep layers to a bare minimum.

Stampin up simply adorned box

Each chain and charm arrive in a gift box.  A touch of ribbon and a
tag (this style mirrors my Fresh and Friendly locket insert)
and the box is ready to roll.

  2. Hi Mary, I have been a lurker out here for some time. I am strictly a hobby demonstrator as I have a medically fragile daughter so I am mostly homebound with her. I am never able to get to meetings of my upline or conferences. Your blog has been so wonderful for me to keep up with new ideas and I just wanted you to know that today is exceptional. Thank you. I also enjoyed seeing you in a photo. Beautiful.

  3. I still plan to get the 24″ chain at 10% off . . . however, I thought getting the 1 x 1 charm and longer chain would be a bit different . . . great reminder, Ellen. Hugs, M

  4. Demonstrators who attended 2009 convention can order one 1″ x 1-1/4″ charm and one 24″ chain at a 10-percent discount–plus they would still receive their 20-percent instant income.

This is automatically applied. Must order before the end of February!
