  1. Hi Mary: Since each person has a different income/financial situation, Stampin’ Up! suggests that you speak to a tax professional for any tax advice. This may be helpful:

Who received a 1099 form for 2013 from Stampin’ Up!?

*Demonstrators who earned more than $600 in downline overrides, shared pool, cash bonuses, and noncash earnings/rewards during 2013 should have received a 1099.

*Demonstrators who placed customer and workshop orders totaling $6,250 or more during 2013 should have received a 1099.

*Exception: If you have incorporated your demonstrator business, we will not send you a 1099 form even if you meet either or both of the above qualifications.

  2. For the hobbyist – if you do it for your own personal use, how does that affect when it’s time to file income tax?

  3. Also I would have to really rearrange the products I would want as I am HOBBY demo and have A LOT of SU products. Could u help me with that? Thanks.

  4. I was a demo but left due to several good reasons. If I want to come back, how long do I have to wait and if I do not remember when I left could u find that out? I would consider signing up with u as you have been so good to me and my products arrive so quickly. Would appreciate an answer asap. TY. evette k. ciampo

  5. Dear Mary
My husband is considering becoming a member of stampin up. there are few men in it. We have found no people here that are really into making this a business. That is why I am writign to you. Neil and I are both very talented. His degree is in art I see Mike Funke online and he is good but you have the best website on line of any of the demonstrators
we can hold crops and classes in our hoem for 12 women tops comfortably. We have foudn most women do not want to host in their own home. We think monthly groups that meet and every month a different hostess would be good. We are going to the March 26 stampin up here in Orlando. We wanted an upline locally but no one is doing anything much. We need to make 3k a month within a year and are willing to work hard to accomplish hthis Number one is that a realistic goal? Number tow can you help us if we join under you? Our FLorida market is so down that even scrapbook expo is cuttin it to 2 days instead of three and only ha ving less than 100 vewndors instead of 200 like other locations. She is expecting 3000 people to attend here and ov er 10000 in Calif locations. We use to hav a big scrapbooking community but no more and only 2 stores in area and one is on its last legs. Any advice woudl be helpful. We may just be dreaming this can be done. Bev Orris
