I can't believe there's only a month left of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini.  Please email me your name and address (U.S. only) if you would like a printed copy of the Holiday Mini Catalog or your can download it instantly HERE.  Even crazier is the notion that Sale-A-Bration and the Occasions Mini Catalog are on tap for Jan. 5 (don't miss my sneak peek from yesterday).

The inspiration photo above gave me a nudge to use the Santa and sleigh from Stampin' Up!'s Wandering Words stamp set (complete images below).

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up christmas snowflake punch Punches serve so many purposes.  I used the 1 1/4" Square Punch to create a background with patterns from Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Try circles, ovals or hearts for a fun alternative.
  • Gold Brads light up the corners of the main image and add a pop of bling to the center of the snowflake.
  • Stampin' Dimensionals give the snowflake just the "lift" it needs to accent the card.

STAMPIN' UP! CLEAR MOUNT STAMPS!  Stampin' Up! will be offering customers the option of traditional wood mount or clear mount stamp sets beginning with the Occasions Mini and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs on Jan. 5.  CLICK HERE FOR SNEAK PEEK DETAILS!

  1. I notice that you have used red and brown a lot lately. Is that because of designer series paper or personal choice? Just curious.

Hi Nancy: Good question. I just happen to be a big fan of the Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper. I’m using all I can on holiday cards before the Holiday Mini expires (Jan. 5). Hugs, M

  3. Mary, do you have any tips on lining up those rows of squares SO PERFECTLY?? Any help would be appreciated! Love your work!
    Mary

    Hi Miss Mary:

Honestly, there isn’t really a trick. I use minimal adhesive so I can move them a bit until they are in alignment. If I need more adhesive to keep them in place, I add a bit once they are in the right spots (since I can return the square to the same spot–the other squares are “in position” as my guide). Thanks for your question. Hugs, M
