Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge PPA15

Stampin up delightful decorations PPA15

Ready to play with fun and festive colors?  This week's Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge (PPA15) is all about Ruby Red, Taken with Teal and Basic Gray.  However, I took the liberty of swapping Taken with Teal with Bermuda Bay.  Choosing something close to these colors is absolutely fine with the PPA 🙂

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
  • SDC12231-1 This sweet Mistletoe ribbon from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog looks crisp against the Basic Gray Textured card stock.  Click here to watch my Tying a Pretty Knot video.
  • Stampin' Up!'s Clear Buttons add glossy accents to the sentiment and ornament.  I adore how the 3/4" circle looks propped up on the largest button.
  • The sentiment is from Merry & Bright Rub-Ons.  Whisper White looks striking over the Bermuda Bay Textured card stock.  This rub-on set includes one sheet each of Whisper White and Silver.
  • If you don't sew, go "faux."  Using a Paper Piercing Tool and Piercing Template (Mat Pack) you simply need to connect the dots with a White Signo Gel Pen.
  • Stampin' Up!'s Mini Glue Dots are my "fave" for adhering buttons!

    1. Faux stitching?? Now you are talking my language! And I am liking those clear buttons you have been using these days. Great card!

    2. I took some liberties too 🙂 Love everything about your card Mary!! FYI to one of your admirers Ilene B – I have found that to keep the gel pen going, to take the tip and roll/rub it on the back of your hand – the oils from our skin help to get it flowing I think.

Thanks for the great tip. I’m going to give it a try 🙂 Hugs, M

    6. What is the key to keeping the gel pens working? I have two that don’t work after having used them just a couple times!

My Pal Kim indicated in her comment that rubbing the pen ball on your hand helps get things moving againg (possibly the oils on the hands). Stampin’ Up! recommends cleaning the tip with hot water and a rag. Hope those tips help.

      Hugs, Mary

    7. Cute card. Thanks for highlighting the faux stitching as it is a simple (and relatively easy) way to add a nice touch to a great card.
