Curried Fresh-Cut Notes

Stampin up crushed curry fresh cuts

Here's a quick and cute Fresh-Cut Note for a friend.   I love this little set of 15 Stampin' UP! die-cut cards and 15 envelopes.  Beautiful alone (Whisper White) or adorable with a little jazzing up.   At 4" x 4" (envelopes 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" envies) they are ideal for thank you's or gift giving.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up fresh cuts close up For serious punch to the front of the card, I layered the Bella Toile Background stamp on top.  Wait to remove the die cut pieces so that you don't ink through to the interior of the card.
  • A 5 Petal Punch in Crushed Curry really pops when tucked behind the die cut.
  • Stampin' Up!'s corduroy buttons are one of my favorite embellishments.  They come in Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun and Basic Gray (used here).  I slipped a sliver of Crushed Curry card stock through the button holes for a coordinating knot.
  • Embossing the envelope flap with Stampin' Up!'s exclusive Finial Press Embossing Folder and my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine creates an elegant polish.

  1. Mary – WoW! What a gorgeous card. I like the Fresh Cut notes, but have had trouble getting them to look super. You did a great job. I’ll pull them out and use them.

  4. Mary, I haven’t commented in awhile but I just couldn’t let this one go by without saying…WOW! The colors are terrific. I love the Bella Toile stamp but don’t always know a good use for it so thank you. I am going to try a similar card and use my M&S die for the center cut. 🙂

  5. Very elegant! I think background stamps sometimes get overlooked…but this one takes center stage here!

Hi Colleen: Frankly, I’m guilty of overlooking my background stamps . . . it’s always so tempting and easy to grab designer paper. However, I thought the Toile background would be just perfect and it was time to dust it off 🙂

    Hugs, Mary
