PPA10 Give Thanks

Stampin up thanksgiving card autumn traditions

Are you ready to play this week's Pals Paper Arts "Gratitude and Thanks" Challenge (PPA10)?  Click here for full details and play along!

Today's card uses three Stampin' Up! products that aren't currently available.  However, I had the opportunity to give them a test drive at Founder's Circle.  Lucky me :)  One is an Occasions Mini Sneak Peek of the Tiny Tags stamp set (available Jan., 2010).  Can you find the other two?  If you're a Stampin' Up! super sleuth and can spot them, leave me a comment below.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up bitty box envelope

The sweet mini envelope (2 1/4" x 2 1/4") from the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL Die, is a delightful spot to tuck a little love note surprise  (see below) into this thank you card.

  • Dusty Durango and Soft Suede Stampin' Up! Markers were added directly to the rubber of the Tiny Tag stamp.  This produces a lovely two color image for the tag and mini card.
  • A Soft Suede Marker was used to color only the "give thanks" sentiment of the Gobble stamp for the sentiment.
  • The Modern Label Punch in Very Vanilla layered over the Designer Label Punch in Soft Suede makes a crisp statement.
  • I used Stampin' Dimensionals to place the sentiment exactly where I wanted before adding the Label Holder.  This also ensures a solid fit.
  • Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware features 100 metal accents and 100 brads for a classy touch. Even the metal storage tin is cool and reusable.

  1. This is beautiful, Mary! I love the Autumn Traditions DSP! Looks wonderful paired with the Dusty Durango! My guess for the three new products would be: the tiny tag (a new punch in the future?), the stamp used on the tag, and the tiny embossed dots. Can’t wait to find out what they are! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

  4. Your card is beautiful and sneaky! My guesses are the tag(of course), the material under the center square – it may be card stock but it looks like suede or something like that, and the phrase.
Love the different design combinations you put together.

That must be why they call you “Sweet Betty.” Thanks so much. Hugs, M

  6. Hi Mary,

My guess, and without having read the other comments first, would be the dot embossing folder, the little tag punch (or die) and the stamp on the little tag (flower and stem) are all new. Did I get it right? Love the card ~ great color combo! Thanks for all your inspiration and ideas. Barbara in SC

    Bingo . . . Hugs, M

  7. ~Hmmm…where’s Watson when I need him?~

You definitely made me look! I think the little dot embossing looks new and then the TINY TAG punch and stamp make three. The hardware does look white, but I’m sure you wouldn’t try to deceive us. Maybe we will see a new non-paper-wrinkling glue?

Well done! TFS your beautiful art!

  8. I love Fall cards! I think they are so earthy looking to me! I know that DP is new! First thing I noticed! Also the little tag punch or sizzlit! It is adorable! TFS your creativity with us!
    Hugs to you too!

Hi Missy: You’re a good little sleuth . . . however, the DP is not new. I used Soft Suede and Dusty Durango Patterned Papers. The pattern on the right is from Autumn Traditions (115668). Hugs, Mary

As always, a beautiful project! I love the colors. My fav part is the embossed envelope!

  10. The newbies are the Tiny Tag stamp set, the dotted textured on the bitty envelope and the tiny tag.  The Hodgepodge Hardware I used is Vanilla 🙂  Hugs,  M

The little tag is one of the new items I hope it is a new punch and I can’t really tell if the hardware is white or vanilla. You said it was vanilla, but it really looks white in the picture…love the new little flower and the “give thanks” stamp can’t wait to see the new mini!

  13. The darling tag punch and the Autumn Traditions paper? Now I have to go see if that’s current. That’s the first thing I noticed – WHERE did that paper come from!!! Off to scout it out.

  14. Those tags are so small I’d bet its a new sizzlit. Other new product? New note cards? I know our product pretty well but I sure don’t see anything else new. Mary how would you get the card out of the envelope? Looks like the ribbon is around the entire envelope. Help! Love this design!

Hi April: The bitty envelope flap is to the front. You can get the “love note” by untying the ribbon. Hugs, M

  15. I love that color combo. I think the tiny tag punch could be a new item and the dotted swiss embossing plate. That one designer paper looks different as well. Now you’ve got my curiosity aroused, can’t wait to hear the answer. I’m an Autumn person so that card is perfect for my taste. Good job, Mary.

  16. Wow you outdid yourself (not an easy thing to do) this time – beautiful and then some! Love the teeny tag and the darling flower stamp. I am not s huge soft suede fan but it looks terrific with white accents. Great card!

  17. Mary – Love this! The colors are beautiful, & love the idea of using the Bitty Box & Envelopes on the front of a card.

I think the unavailable products are a new tag punch and the polka dot embossing folder?
