Pink Mojo Monday 110

Stampin up mojo monday 110

Are you "In the Pink?"  As a tribute to my courageous sister-in-law, Karol Harris, who continues to battle Breast Cancer, and her devoted daughter, Kris Kilcoyne (Kween Bee Kreations), I'm going "pink" on every Stampin' Pretty project this week.

PINK BLOG CANDY:  This tribute will culminate with an "In the Pink" Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge on the Pals Paper Arts blog on Thursday, October 29.  Participants in the PPA Challenge (PPA14) will have a chance at winning fabulous entirely pink Stampin' Up! products.  START YOUR PINK PROJECTS NOW AND STAY TUNED!

My first pink-a-licious design is for this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge (MOJO110, above).  I  had a ball playing with the different elements of Julee's Tilman's delightful design.  I recently added Stampin' Up!'s exclusive Bigz Alphabet Simple Letters Dies (set of 4) to my ever-growing Stampin' Up! fantasy collection.  It's a bold way to say "hi" (and anything else you can think of 🙂

  • Stampin up bigz simple alphabet dies My Big Shot and Bigz Alphabet Simple Letters Dies first cut Long Board Chipboard (plain sheets) and then Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper.  It's a perfect fit when adhered and produces a dramatic 3-D "hi."
  • The "h" is 2 3/8" high x 1 1/6" wide.  Zowie cool!
  • The Big Shot also was my tool of choice for the Scallop Circle (in Basic Black)
  • Control Freaks Take Note!  A Circle Scissor Plus enabled me to cut the Going Gray card stock to just the right size (2 7/8") to layer over the die cut Scallop Circle.  For best results use the glass mat and these previously posted Stampin' Pretty Tips.
  • The Boho Flower Punch helped me "dot" my "i" with a floral pizzazz and create the layered flower element on the left.
  • The Melon Mambo card base is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".  Ready for sending in one of Stampin' Up!'s Whisper White Medium Square Envelopes (107289, 5 1/2" x 5 1/2").
