Today's card takes advantage of Stampin' Up!'s wonderful collection of punches.

  • The Crushed Curry Textured card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and scored on the side (but it could easily be scored on the top, too).
  • I layered strips of Very Vanilla and Basic Black on top
  • The Circle Circus stamp I used was inked in Jet Black Stazon (my fave for a crisp, black image) and stamped on Very Vanilla.  TIP:  The curry, black and vanilla color trio, combined with this pattern give a snazzy "global" feel.
  • The stamped circles popped out with perfection using a 1" Circle Punch.
  • Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I layered the patterned circle on a 1 1/4" Circle of Basic Black.
  • The circles landed on a 4" x 1 1/2" banner of Very Vanilla.
  • Stampin up circle circus 2 Tucked behind is another dose of luscious Crushed Curry Textured card stock, dolled up with an Eyelet Border Punch.  TIP:  Stampin' Up!'s beautiful textured card stock now comes in an assorted pack of In Colors for $10.95 (item 115719, 36 sheeets, six each of six In Colors).
  • Three Black Brads (Stampin' Up! Vintage Brad Collection) really stand out against the Crushed Curry background.  TIP:  I use a Paper Piercer (now sold separately for  $3.50) and Paper-Piercing Template (Stampin' Up! Mat Pack) to line up brads and eyelets with precision.
  • The sentiment from Oval All was inked in Jet Black Stazon and stamped on Crushed Curry.  It's shaped with a Large Oval Punch and layered with a couple Stampin' Dimensionals over a Scalloped Oval Punch.  TIP:  Having coordinating punches is a delightful time saver.

  1. Great color combo, Mary! I like the scallop punch at the top of your focal piece. I tend to put my scallops at the bottom. I can’t wait to see your new stamp zone!

  6. I always wondered how the brads were so even when mine are so random. I’ve always made the hole with a punch and never thought to use the paper piercer (which I also have). What a simple solution!

    PS. I LOVE your blog.
