Pillow Talk

How do I I love the Bigz Pillow Die?  Let me count three ways!  At 3 3/4" x 2" assembled, the pillow box earns its keep as a charming party favor.  However, let's step outside the box today (pun intended).

Stampin up bigz pillow die purse

This sweet purse idea originated in the bright imagination of Carolina Buchting (Carolina's Creative Pad).  The key to transitioning this box to a purse was the use of a Bigz Top Note Die.

I zipped Basic Gray card stock and Walk in the Park Designer Paper each through the Big Shot with the Top Note. TIP:  They were layered, slightly offset from the top to create a pretty detail.  Using a Small Oval Punch, a handle was born!

Purse:
Paper:  Walk in the Park Designer Series (115123, Occasions Mini), Basic Gray (108692)
Cool Tools:  Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439), Bigz Pillow Box Die (113466), Bigz Top Note Die (113463), 5 Petal Flower Punch (109041), Small Oval Punch (107304)
The Perfect Touch:  Filigree Designer Brads (112577), White Halfback Pearl (109114, Pretties Kit)

Stampin up bigz pillow die walk in the park

This cute candy holder offers a window to a burst of color, courtesy of Mike and Ike Tropical Typhoon candies.  TIP:  They work deliciously well with the color options of Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper.  I found it necessary to eat the green candies since I didn't need any Kiwi Kiss in the project.

TIP:  The little tag is the part I popped out of the handle for the purse above 🙂

Candy Box w/Window:
Paper:  Walk in the Park Designer Series (115123, Occasions Mini), Cameo Coral (100475)
Cool Tools:  Big Shot-Die Cut Machine (113439), Bigz Pillow Box Die (113466), Eyelet Border Punch (113692), Wide Oval Punch (112082), Small Oval Punch (107304), Crop-a-Dile (108362)
The Perfect Touch:  Metallic Eyelet (105319), Window Sheet (114323, Occasions Mini), Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon (109070), Silver Cord (retired), Mike and Ike Tropical Typhoon candies

Stampin up biz pillow die pencils 2

I saw the pencil box idea when I was at Stampin' Up! Regionals in Minneapolis in early April.  I dressed my version up in bold colors and think the disk looks a tad like a painter's palette.  I thought it was a nifty touch for an art supplies gift.  TIP:  Wouldn't markers be cool this way, too?  Or maybe a fun idea for a Back to School project?

Pencil Box:

Cool Tools:  Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439), Bigz Pillow Box Die (113466), 1 3/4" Circle Punch (112004), 1/2" Circle Punch (104390), Word Window Punch (105090), Crop-A-Dile (108362)

  2. So very cool! I did the clear window one with Easter mini eggs, the oval punch and the SAB papers and it looked pretty cool! The purse idea is new to me, though, and I love it!

  7. How cute, another reason for me to make more pillow boxes. Love it. As for the little green candies, it would be a sin to let them in the box to clash with the pink ones. You did the right thing by eating them.
