Stampin' Up!'s Bella Bleu Designer Paper is nothing short of stunning.  Today's card has a formal air to it–perfect for a special birthday, wedding or anniversary.  The "celebrate" sentiment and square floral frame are both from the newly released Matchbox Messages stamp set.

I popped out the coordinating tag for the "celebrate" stamp using a Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and the Matchbox Bigz XL Die.  TIP:   A little Dotto removable adhesive keeps the tag in place while I enlist the help of a Stamp-a-ma-jig to add the sentiment.

Stampin pretty bella blue flower

The flower was created by layering a couple punches from Stampin' Up!'s 5 Petal Punch in Not Quite Navy card stock.  TIP: I popped out the centers using a 1/2" Circle Punch, tucked in a 1/2" circle of Bella Blue and pulled it together using one of the new Basic Jumbo Grommets in Vanilla.  These snazzy embellishments also come in Basic Black, Silver and Whisper White.

My sketch was inspired by Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 61 (TECC61).  It's a wonderful layout for combining designer papers.  Earth Elements Brads in Not Quite Navy deliver a nice accent on the horizontal banner.

As a final, luxurious touch, I lined a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope with Bella Blue Designer Series Paper.

  2. Gorgeous. I just bought the paper and received it the other day. Aren’t you the enabler – now I want the grommets too. I was debating on that set – I love that floral frame. Wish they would sell that as a single stamp! Any help with the liners with the envelopes would be helpful. I have tried a couple of times but didn’t lay as nice as yours. It really makes the card! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!!

  4. Any tips to lining the envelope, I have been afraid to try that, but it looks lovely. And, I agree with the previous comment, the paper looks grey in the catalog, I would NEVER have chosen it.

Hi Susanne: I will be posting tips on lining the envelope in the near future. Thanks for asking. Hugs, Mary

  5. You know, when I went to find that paper in the catalog, I couldn’t at first. It looks grey in my catty. I didn’t realize that it was blue and so pretty!!

  6. O.K. Mary – You’re going to start costing me money here! LOL This is definitely my style of card with blue being my favorite color and straight sleek lines having that classy look. I just love this one. I hadn’t even considered the grommets but now I have to think about those also. I’m finageling the budget to get that new scalloped oval punch in the Occasions catalog. Gotta have it, gotta have it. LOL
