Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Stampin up mojo monday 76 shamrock

Mojo Monday 76
Thank you for joining me for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 76.  I don't send too many St. Patty's Day cards and don't own a single stamp for this holiday.  I noticed the idea of the shamrock using punched hearts in Stampin' Up!''s monthly demo magazine and grabbed the "lucky" stamp from Define Your Life for my sentiment.  Works for me 🙂

Using Stampin' Up!'s Full Heart Punch and Flock Together Designer Series Paper, I created the shamrock leaves.  They are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals to Whisper White layered over Chocolate Chip.  A Chocolate Button from the Button Latte Designer Collection lands in the middle.  TIP:  I used a skinny sliver of Garden Green card stock to produce the thread through the button.  Tie carefully.  It's a bit delicate.

Below is a layer of Certainly Celery over Chocolate Chip.  A Paper Piercer and Template assisted me in defining the pierced edges of the Celery layer.  The vertical banner is a layer of Chocolate Chip Textured card stock over Certainly Celery.  A snippet of Certainly Celery 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, accents the top.

Using Stampin' Up!'s Backgrounds I Texturz Plates and my Big Shot, I created embossed details on a 5 x 5" piece of Garden Green card stock.  TIP:  I have the best impression when I mist the card stock with water before running it through with the Texturz Plates.  Keep flat and let dry before adhering.  The textured Garden Green layer tops a 5.25 x 5.25 Whisper White card base (scored at the top).

You have been asking.  Yes, you can use the Texturz Plates in your Cuttlebug  I updated my Big Shot 101 Tutorial with this tidbit (along with my Big Shot/Cuttlebug compatability information).

TIP:  Using a Cuttlebug with Texturz Plates– From Top to Bottom

TIP:  If you need a little more tension, try adding a piece of card stock (start thin) to your sandwich between Cuttlebug A Plate and the Texturz Impression Plate.

The "lucky" sentiment from Define Your Life was inked up in Chocolate Chip and stamped on Whisper White.  Using the smallest heart from Stampin' Up!'s Heart to Heart Punch, I created my mini Garden Green shamrock.  The sentiment is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals to a layer of Chocolate Chip.

TIP:  Create a coordinating envelope in just minutes.  I adhered a matching piece of Flock Together Designer Paper over the envelope flap, flipped it over and cut away the excess.
