Sneak Peek: Thank You, Thank You

Stampin up elegant thank you duo

I have so many thank you notes to get out post-holiday.  I grabbed Stampin' Up!'s new single stamp, Elegant Thank You.  It's available for customer purchase on Jan. 19, when the Spring/Summer 2009 Idea Book and Catalog is officially released (and ready for download on my blog). A single stamp is both budget-friendly ($6.95) and versatile in augmenting other stamp sets.  Click here if you would like to pre-order a copy of the new catalog.  Delivery will be mid-January.

SC209
Both cards were inspired by this week's Splitcoast Sketch Challenge SC209 (the first one is just flipped) and Color Challenge CC199 (Bravo Burgundy, Handsome Hunter, So Saffron).  I have to confess . . . I don't believe I have ever used Handsome Hunter 🙂

TIP:  Each Bella's Bloom image (see complete set below) is cropped with a 1/2" Circle Punch and popped up on a Stampin' Dimensional.  Ditto the "Thank You" sentiment for 3-D balance.  I love how the stamp image fits beautifully in Stampin' Up!'s Wide Oval Punch..

TIP:  A Circle Rhinestone Brad fits neatly inside a Stampin' Up! Jumbo Eyelet.  Isn't the big So Saffron check from the Jackpot Designer Series, cool?

  2. I love your cards! I have some of those rhinestone brads and I think the jumbo eyelets really make them stand out. The second card with the two rounded corners makes that little touch even more special! Thanks so much for sharing! Good to know about the scalloped square since I wanted to get that anyway!

  3. What beautiful cards Mary–as always! I needed some inspiration to get started on mine and as usual I’ve found it. Though I don’t have the stamp, DP or all the colors just seeing your designs helps to get my creative juices flowing. Happy New Year!

  4. What a life saver you are. I am in the middle of making thank you’s for my hubby. He had lots of people give him gifts and he wanted a special card for each of them. I was running out of ideas. He plans to write a note along with what I stamp inside. Thanks!

  5. I would never have thought to put those colors together but they look great! The dsps really add the extra jazz to them, too!

  6. Beautiful – I think I’m going to have to get that “Thank You” stamp. Love your cards and thanks for the reminder about the sketches over on SCS. I keep forgetting to check them out and always seem to struggle with my card LOs. I’ve already downloaded and printed out a bunch of the sketch archives as part of my plan to get more cards done in 2009.

  10. Gorgeous designs and of course perfect execution as usual Mary! Thank you’s were never so elegant or so simple.

Thanks for providing some wonderful examples for me to share with other SU demo’s who aren’t too sure about the Jackpot DSP since they aren’t into games and didn’t see the possibilities of the alternate graphics.

I love the cool sophistication of the DSP. The first time I saw it I thought of you and now I see why!

Happy New Year to a classy lady and diva designer – Jean

  11. That stamp is so pretty! Does it fit within the scalloped square as well?

    Hi Jessica:

Hah! I almost did exactly that 🙂 It DOES fit within the scalloped square when you turn the square 45 degrees and punch. Thanks for asking! Hugs, Mary
