Season of Love. Holiday Mini Ends 1/18!

Stampin up season of friendship valentine

Are you ready to say goodbye?  Jan. 18 (11:50 p.m. MT) is the last opportunity to place an on-line order for Stampin' Up!'s Retiring Accessories, Retiring Stamp Sets and the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Please don't hesitate on your favorites.  Many items have already sold out.

One of my beloved stamp sets from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog is Season of Friendship.  This cute collection (see below) will not be available in the Spring/Summer catalog.  Note:  It's possible it could return in the Fall/Winter 2009 catalog–we won't know until then.

The "naked" tree is adorable when decked out with the accompanying snowflake, bird, flower or leaves.  For a little valentine fun, I used the Heart to Heart Punch and Candy Lane Designer Series paper (currently available at 20% off as part of the Love You Much Bundle, 115405) to create a love motif.

Each heart is propped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  TIP:  You can easily customize the shape of Stampin' Dimensionals with scissors.  I like to keep the dimensionals away from the edges of the adhered item so there is minimal exposure of the dimensionals from the side.  TIP:  I snuck in a Pink Pirouette flower button from Stampin' Up!'s Designer Button Bouquet for a little spice.

The sentiment is from Fundamental Phrases (my "little black dress" for sentiments), inked in Close to Cocoa and stamped on Riding Hood Red.  Two pink Circle Rhinestone Brads adorn the sides of the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware Label Holder. TIP:  Both Styled Silver and Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware are on sale through Jan. 18.  Click here for the complete list of sale items in Stampin' Up!'s Inventory Blowout.

COMING UP:  My Stampin' Pretty Stamping Zone is progressing and I'll share some tips on how to tackle 12 x 12 paper storage.

  2. I’m confused. Is everything in the Holiday Mini retiring? Or just going dormant?

Hi Sharon: Great question without an exact answer. According to Stampin’ Up!, items in the Holiday Mini are not retired. They could come back within a year. They do not go on a dormant list. Some items from the Holiday Mini will be continued in either the subsequent Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter catalogs. Season of Friendship (which I used in today’s post) was not continued in the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog (available Jan. 19). There’s a chance it could come back in the fall.

    Hugs, Mary

  3. I am so sad this set didn’t make the cut into the new catalog. It’s my fave and makes such beautiful cards! (especially when YOU make the cards, Mary!)

Here’s to hoping it resurrects in F/W 09!

  4. Does this mean the Autumn Vine paper will no longer be available? I am still trying to figure out how much I need to wallpaper a room in it! (No, seriously I love it that much.) HELP.

Hi Janet: Time to get that wall measured and order placed! The Autumn Vine Designer Series Paper is NOT in the Spring/Summer catalog so it will not be available after 1/18. Stampin’ Up! keeps the door open for a possible re-release in the fall/winter catalog but no guarantees.

    Hugs, Mary
