Die-Cut Daisies

Stampin up bigz daisy wow flowers

Stampin up bigz daisy wow flowers close
Hot off my wish list from the new Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer 2009 Idea Book and Catalog are these daisy die cuts and charming corduroy buttons.   They pack a big dose of wow in minimal time.

I zipped the Bigz Die called Flower, Daisies #2 through my Big Shot to pop out both the Summer Sun and Bashful Blue Daisies.  Easy, yes?  Stampin' Up!'s hot, hot, hot corduroy buttons are shown in Pacific Point (I have developed a new friendship with this color) but also are available in Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate chip, Kraft, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun.  Soft.  Pretty.

OCCSKJM2009
I have to admit this layout from Our Creative Corner puzzled me for a bit.  However, I realized I could keep in line with the design by layering a strip of Pacific Point Textured Card Stock over a layer of the newly released Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series paper.  I was overanalyzing it thinking I needed ribbon and more layers.  TIP:  Less is more.

The sentiment is from Wow Flowers.  I inked it up in Pacific Point and stamped on Summer Sun card stock.  It's pumped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin up decor elements tree

I spruced up my Stampin' Pretty Stamping Zone today using the smallest Thoughts & Prayer Tree (116002, in Chocolate) from Stampin' Up!'s D?cor Elements (a budget-friendly line of vinyl wall coverings).  The English Major in me couldn't resist the quote from Henry David Thoreau (116076, Chocolate) either.

The process was surprisingly easy (think rub-ons on steroids) and the results rival hand painted.  I love the latest additions (and more colors) to the D?cor Elements Catalog.  It's available for download on my right side bar or email me if you would like me to send you a free copy (US only).

  1. I just love that wall decor element – I think that is the one I’m going to order for myself during Sale-A-Bration. Thanks for posting a pic of it – it really helps give the scale of a bit a bit better. 🙂

  3. This card is beautiful! I’m sold on the Big Shot! I do have a demonstrator question concerning the Feb 1 promotion… Does the free stamp set on every $50 spent count on one order? For ex. if I place a $300 order for myself to qualify for my sales quota this quarter, can I order 6 items free?
Once again, thanks 🙂 in advance for being so helpful and inspirational!

Hi Michelle: Customers and you will get the choice of one free item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for every $50 you spend. No limit. Hugs, Mary

  8. I am just loving those colors. I’m pretty monochromatic in my card making and when I see cards like the ones you’ve been putting out I wonder why I never seem to think of the combo’s like you do.

  11. This is a beautiful card!! Great idea to use the daisy die cuts with the new paper too! Love how you’ve added the new tree to your craft room!! Lucky you- we are renting, and I can’t do anything right now permanently with the decor elements, so I am thinking about getting a frame to fit it. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas with your new craft room!
