Whew! The Stampin’ Up! Holiday Extravaganza Sale (now over) was a huge hit but a wild ride. I’m glad to be back to stamping and blogging–my ultimate therapy.
I’m still plugging away at my Christmas cards and pulled out Season of Friendship (Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini). The tree is stamped in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White card stock. The snowflakes were dipped in VersaMark, stamped on Baja Breeze and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder for shine and sparkle.
TIP: My favorite thing about this set is that each of the small images (tree, flower, snowflake and leaves) fits nicely in a 3/4″ Circle Punch. Simply popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals, the stamped circles look very stylish.

Your blog is chock full of goodies. I had to laugh at the snow bird reference. We will head south also! Probably texas, but who knows? Too many years away! This card is stunning.
Mary, this is super cute. I love the way you popped the snowflakes. looks really cute.
I really appreciate all your work-and then you are so kind to share it with us. Thanks!
I can’t even take my eyes off this one!
Cute card! I like the way you popped up the snowflakes.
Beautiful, Mary – another set that’s going on the wishlist because of what I’ve seen you do with it. I suspect my husband would like to block me from your site! =) (Good thing I can check it at work first thing every morning)
How lovely! I need to dig out my set again. Thanks for the inspiration!
i love it! i don’t have this set…it sure is a cutie!!
xoxo
teehee. i actually bought the season of friendship set after seeing your september post. have i used it yet? (no, she said with an embarrassed sigh … but i HAVE it). i just have to make this card, even though i probably wont be able to send it to anyone … i hoard cards as well as accessories. sooooo bad. thanks for a lovely start to my day!!! i think i am going to have white embossing powder everywhere 🙂
hugs, jo ann.
Hi Jo Ann:
Repeat after me . . . “My goal for 2009 is to send every card I make. My goal for 2009 is to send every card I make.”
I get attached to a few creations now and then. However, to share their beauty, whimsy or originality with another is the beauty of the art form (yes, I think papercrafts are an art form). I try to send every card I make . . . there’s always a recipient for a thank you, birthday or “just a note”
So grab your Season of Friendship, make a card and let me know to whom you decide to send it.
Hugs,
Mary
Very cool. This one’s going into my fav’s!
Fabulous card! The colors are great, I just love blue and red together. That stamp set is great, haven’t broke down and order that one yet but I am going to have to get it!!
And the hardware…perfect touch. Great job. TFS
This is fabulous!! Love it!!
I’m just like Kris, I’ve been waiting all day to see if you were going to post something. It was worth the wait. Nice card. I like that set, I may have to get it but not until after Christmas. I’ll save it for next year. Good job!
this is one of my favorite sets. I might need to use this idea!
I’ve been stalking your site this afternoon – I could see you were online.
So, I knew a creation would be coming soon!
Love this – especially the sentiment. I’m glad the Holiday Extravaganza was a hit with you. That’s fantastic.
