  1. Hello Mary –

I have several New Years resolutions, but the most important I think is to enjoy every moment that I am given – even the moments where I find that my life is just not going where I want it to go – to live in the present and not worry about the future.
    Happy New Year!

  3. My resolution for this year is to keep my NEW stamp room clean, tidy, and presentable! I recently took over my almost-never-used dining room as my stamp room and am slowly getting more organized. Since it sits off the entryway, I have to make it look good! Thanks for the chance to win!

  8. My resolution is to organize my stamping supplies better including a list of all my sets and each month, take a set out and make several cards with that set. If I don’t absolutely love what I’ve created, then sell the set (to make way for new!). I sometimes don’t know what I have, so 2009 is my “organize year”.
Love your blog and what you do, you are an inspiration!

  13. Wow! What wonderful NYR from everyone. Mine will sound similar… get fit & healthy, eat right, organize. But my first thought for a NYR is probably my best: 2008 brought us the gift of a grandchild and I feel I owe it to him, as well as myself and his parents, to record his early years in scrapbooks. Babies are just such a wonderful scrapping opportunity! Happy New Year, Mary and keep on keeping us inspired!

  14. HHHMMMMMM!New Year’s Resolution? How about I just follow through with the ones I made in, oh say – 1962??????? LOL All kidding aside I’d like to lose some weight (a popular resolution I notice) and to make sure I stay in touch with those elderly loved ones who live so far away. In other words – take the time to make a card at least once a month for those lovely elderly people who so look forward to hearing from anyone.

  109. Mary, Thank you for the fun in this blog candy! One thing I would like to work on this year is to continue the 30 minute treadmilling I have been doing; another area for me to work on is to have a bit more down time and fun with my children!! The third area where I would like to improve on is making more time to craft gifts for others and learn new techniques. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and you have my wishes for a peaceful New Year! Keep up the wonderful creativity as I check your blog every day!! ~Amy S.~

  110. Since New Year’s Resolution are usually broken, I’m going to stick with one I have a better chance of accomplishing. That would be to duplicate a variety of cards in advance so I’m not rushing around last minute making a special one and mailing it immediately so it won’t be late. If I only have one, I tend to save it rather than use it. Would love to win your blog candy as never have won any yet. That could be another New Year’s Resolution! Thanks, Mary, for the opportunity and keep impressing us with your work and professional-looking blog!

  112. Resolutions are made to be broken it seems in my case. But, I really need to get my craft room organized – we moved in two years ago and I still have 4 boxes in there I have no idea of what are in them. I have my craft stuff all over the house. I really need to get this in gear. So, maybe this is more like an order from my husband than a resolution. I definitely need to lose weight, take care of myself, exercise more, etc. and that will just have to be an every day occurence in some sort of fashion. Once I get all that taken care of – then how about try making something at least once a week or doing needlework my first passion. Anyway, I love your blog and hope it inspires me to try some of your great projects. Man, I am going to have one busy year!!!!! Anyway, thanks for a chance to babble on. Happy holidays!

  116. Mary – what a nice giveaway. Thanks for the chance to enter. My resolution is to just create and not worry about how my card looks compared to others. I want to remember the reason why I make cards and altered projects – namely to bring a smile to the recipient’s face and it is also a stress reliever for me as it’s a chance to tune out the pressures for a little while and just let the creative juices flow.

Happy new year and may 2009 bring you lots of creative mojo!

  119. Hey Mary,
Thanks for having the candy blog. I really don’t have a resolution for the New Year. So many people have them and never follow them thru. I just want to keep doing the things I love like stamping, cardmaking, scrapbooking and my new love painting. I just want to be the best I can be and to do for the important people in my life and for myself. I have a saying too,” Everyday above ground is a good day”. I just want to live life to the fullest and to be blessed for all the blessing I have. Happy New Year to you and your family.

My new year’s resolution has been said before ‘live like there’s no tomorrow, love like you’ve never been hurt, and dance like no ones watching.’ I’m not quite sure who wrote it or if it’s correctly stated but I think it simply says to live each day to the fullest, with a light heart, and never, NEVER let people guess how much you love them. The weight will come off, the house will get as clean as it needs to be and everything else will fall into place because the degree of stress will be minimal.
