Happy Holly-Days!

Stampin up holiday trinkets holly

More "Holly-Day" glitz with this charming holly stamp from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Trinkets.  I have gotten so much use out of this little set.  Remember the magnets?

I inked each holly leaf in VersaMark, stamped on Sage Shadow card stock, then heat embossed in gold.  Red berries came to life using a 1/4" Circle Punch and Riding Hood Red card stock.  Very vavoom.  Both circles were cropped using Nestabilities Circles and a Big Shot Die-Cut Machine.

The circle is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals to a horizontal panel of Always Artichoke Textured card stock.  I added three jubilant musicians and a sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s Old St. Nick Rub-Ons.

Tucked behind is a Brushed Gold (Stampin' Up! card stock) Top Note Bigz Die Cut.  I layered it on Whisper White that had been stamped using the Bella Toile Background stamp (inked up in Sage Shadow).  A layer of Riding Hood Red and card base of Always Artichoke (4.25 x 5.5, scored at the top), finishes things off.  I used a neat sketch from Jen Del Muro for inspiration.

For this week's Ways to Use Challenge (WT195, envelopes), I used the Bella Toile Background stamp (Sage Shadow) to turn it from plain white to custom coordinated.  TIP:  For your convenience, all Splitcoast Daily Challenges are available on my left side bar.

Do you have your holiday cards done?  I still have quite a few to go . . . however, I plan to do some mass production this weekend.

  1. Very glitzy! I’m finished with the unique Christmas cards, but need to mass produce a few (10?) to have on hand.

  2. Once again, thanks for reminding me that I bought that metallic paper for a reason; time to get it out and play. It goes so well with embossing.

  4. I have most of my holiday cards done. The ones I spent way too much time on, are going to my stamp/scrap friends who will appreciate the long effort put into each card.
In-laws are getting the quick ones!!;)
