Blog Candy Time!

Stampin up groovy guava blog candy

Hooray!  Somebody tripped my Stampin' Pretty blog visits to 200,000 today so it's time to celebrate with a blog candy giveaway.

The theme of this giveaway is "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!"

  • The "old" is a  pack of 24 sheets of retired Groovy Guava card stock and over fifty 6 x 6 sheets of Groovy Guava, Ginger Blossom and Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper (double-sided, all retired).
  • Something "new" goes out to Stampin' Up!'s new Filigree Brads (p. 184 of the Fall/Winter catalog).
  • The balloon stamp was borrowed for the bookmark (note the stamp is not included).
  • "Blue" (a bit of a stretch) is a cute blue sack filled with an assortment of Stampin' Up!'s Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware (retired).

For your chance to win all these goodies, please leave me a comment at the end of this post by Noon, CST, Wednesday, November 5, at which time I'll choose a random winner.  Shipping to US Only.  Tell me the retired Stampin' Up! product you miss most (for me, it's Perfect Layers) or what new product you like best (my pick:  Top Note Bigz Die . . . . all day, baby).

I hope I win…I’ve been wanting those filagree brads so bad!

  30. Congratulations Mary! You know how much I love your site and I’m here umpteen times a day, lol!

The stuff I miss the most right now is some of the old background stamps. I didn’t get the Print Pattern and I am STILL kicking myself for it! It was one of those things where I saw it, thought I’d never use it and then I placed my last order as they discontinued it. The next week I started seeing cards with it everywhere and the kicking began, lol.

My favorite right now is the scallop edge punch. It’s perfect for jazzing up the edges on strips for candles and cards. It gives such a nice border and is so easy to use. I love the punches SU carries mainly for that reason, the ease of use. There’s nothing worse than mangling a beautiful piece of paper because the punch you’re using is so tough that you’re practically jumping on it with your hands. SU’s work with the tiniest bit of pressure and I love that.

    Congrats again!

The things I love about Stampin Up are way to many to count – I love the punches (nearly all of them), and the design of the stamp pads, and I wish I could host a party every week just to have my friends together. I guess those are all old things because most are always there. The new things that I love are some of the new hostess sets. I wish they would make them catalog items in future catalogs.

  72. Hi Mary!

I get so much inspiration from your blog…and I love the redesign (talk about something new! It’s really cute!!) The fact it changes to all the IN colors is just genius.

My old items I miss are colors like Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme – and copper! I love copper accents, using copper EP, etc.

Since I still don’t have the Big Shot, I’ll say my faves are all the new punches! I think I’m pretty close to needing a 12-step program for punch addiction! They really add a new dimension to my stamping (and alleviate the need for me to try to cut a “fancy” shape.

Thanks for the candy opportunity! I’m sure you’ll reach 400,000 in no time!!

Always look forward to the new colors as I am a direct to paper nut and make a lot of my own backgrounds.

  202. Wow, congrats on all the hits! I’m pretty new to SU products, so I’ll go with my fav product right now. I’d have to say it’s the Bella Rose paper and the Upsy Daisy stamps. Although, that could change once my order comes in a few days from now and I see the Ski Slope paper in person! 🙂

  204. Congrats on the big 200,000!! Way to go! I just love when there is an email from you that you have an update. TFS. The retired product that I miss is Cool Caribbean, I was not very into the “In Colors” at the time and did not get any and now I just wished I had-darn! The new product I love is the scallop punch. Scallops are so hot right now and it is so fun to use. Thanks for the chance.

  210. Congratulations on hitting this milestone! I just love your design – you inspire me so much! I have only been a stamper for a year, so I don’t have a long history to draw from. But I have to say I a missing Soft Sky – everything. I just love that with Chocolate Chip anything! As for something new, I am really loving the Urban Garden paper and all the coordinating stamps!

  213. I love the new die cut stamp sets too. It was always my big complaint about Stampin Up, I hated cutting out the rubber stamps.
Another new favorite thing, not sure if it is new to just me or not, is the Stampa ma jig! Yeah!

  214. my favorite new…stamp set is Crazy for Cupcakes. As soon as I saw that adorable cupcake stack I knew I had to have it.

And I love that some new stamp sets are die-cut, it makes it so much easier to put them together. As easy as Punch-Stick-Stamp!

    Congrats!
