Stampin up groovy guava blog candy

Hooray!  Somebody tripped my Stampin' Pretty blog visits to 200,000 today so it's time to celebrate with a blog candy giveaway.

  • The balloon stamp was borrowed for the bookmark (note the stamp is not included).
  • "Blue" (a bit of a stretch) is a cute blue sack filled with an assortment of Stampin' Up!'s Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware (retired).

  1. my favorite new…stamp set is Crazy for Cupcakes. As soon as I saw that adorable cupcake stack I knew I had to have it.

And I love that some new stamp sets are die-cut, it makes it so much easier to put them together. As easy as Punch-Stick-Stamp!

    Congrats!

  2. I love the new die cut stamp sets too. It was always my big complaint about Stampin Up, I hated cutting out the rubber stamps.
Another new favorite thing, not sure if it is new to just me or not, is the Stampa ma jig! Yeah!

  3. Oh my! I miss so many things! I think I miss the Frosty stamp set and the Snowflake Spot stamp set the most though! πŸ™‚ For my newest favorite product, I have to agree with you, the Top Note die is absolutely fabulous! I finally broke down and bought it along with the Big Shot! I am in heaven! Haha!

  4. Congratulations!!!!!!! You always have such gorgeous cards and you explain every thing so well on how to do them. Thats why every one comes here :). Since I am new, I do not miss any of the old stamps, but I want.. I want so many of the new ones But the first one I want is the “Holy Triptych”

  5. Congratulations on hitting this milestone! I just love your design – you inspire me so much! I have only been a stamper for a year, so I don’t have a long history to draw from. But I have to say I a missing Soft Sky – everything. I just love that with Chocolate Chip anything! As for something new, I am really loving the Urban Garden paper and all the coordinating stamps!

  16. Congrats, Mary! Not that I’m surprised – you do a great job of keeping updated on your site!

I think the die cutting of the new stamps is my fave, but I love the new butterfly set, too. And all the great new fonts used on the stamps!

  17. My favorite retired product is Fancy Felines. This set came out before I was really into stamping. Once I saw it I was obsessed with finding the set, I was lucky enough to find a used set and bought it in a heartbeat!

  18. I miss my pomegranate paper … thanks for the chance to win.

  19. Congrats, Mary!!! What a great blog candy giveaway! I love Groovy Guava and would love a chance to win this. 31. Thank you so much for sharing all you do. You are so very talented. I’m going to have to agree with you that one of the things I hated to see retired was the Perfect Layers. I had just started to get used to it and then it was gone. πŸ™

  32. I’m reading some of the comments, and say to myself, yes, that’s what I miss most…oh, I forgot about that…that’s what I miss most. I guess that goes to show that even though I think it’s a product I can’t do without, I somehow do. For accessories, I’ll pick the afternoon tea DP, and for stamp sets, yes, I think I miss Snowflake Spot the most. I do love the new diecut stamps like someone mentioned, and I love the riding hood red everything…especially the taffeta ribbon!TFS!

Some things I miss most is the Ribbon Originals, In Colors-especially-Purely Pomegranite and Cranberry Crisp and old sets from the many mini catalogs. One of my new favorites it the fact that all new sets are die cut! Keep up with your great blog!!!

  116. Look forward to your blog everyday for inspiration and cheer. Well done!

  117. Congratulations, Mary! You deserve it. I miss the gold and silver thin cord that SU used to sell. Luckily I have a good supply that I use so many times on my cards and packages.
The newest thing I know I’ll love as soon as it arrives is the TOP NOTE Bigz Die! I can’t wait until it gets here! I played with it at a Stamp a Stack I went to and I loved it!

My old items I miss are colors like Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme – and copper! I love copper accents, using copper EP, etc.

Since I still don’t have the Big Shot, I’ll say my faves are all the new punches! I think I’m pretty close to needing a 12-step program for punch addiction! They really add a new dimension to my stamping (and alleviate the need for me to try to cut a “fancy” shape.

Thanks for the candy opportunity! I’m sure you’ll reach 400,000 in no time!!

  178. WOW, What an accomplishment! You’ve done an awesome job since you started this website/blog! You’re truly inspiring, Mary! You keep me wanting to let my creativity flow!

  200. Oh I did’nt mention the wild wasabi was my favorite discontinued color. but there are always new and fun colors to pick from.

  201. I think this blog candy was made for me…I’m getting married in 5.5 weeks and I was trying to figure out what my something old, new, borrowed, and blue would be πŸ™‚ I was just introduced to stamping when working on our wedding invitations, so I don’t miss anything yet. The current catalog is my first one!

  202. Retired SU product I miss the most: Wild Wasabi, and several of the DSP’s from previous years (it makes me hoard mine instead of using it to make stuff!). Favorite new: scallop edge punch. I am also new to blogging with my own site. I love stampin up products the colors over the past few years are so vibrant. I miss the chance to get all the colors with the Stampin up Spots. They should still do this with the new colors. I like the spots to use with small stamps and to make block background paper. Way to Go Girl

  211. I have just recently stumbled across your beautiful website and BOY was I happy. The things I love about Stampin Up are way to many to count – I love the punches (nearly all of them), and the design of the stamp pads, and I wish I could host a party every week just to have my friends together. I guess those are all old things because most are always there. The new things that I love are some of the new hostess sets. I wish they would make them catalog items in future catalogs.

  212. Congratulations on your wonderful milestone!! I’m a faithful reader of your blog and love the fact that your cards have such a wow factor… always look forward to seeing what you’ve created!! I miss True Thyme and Cranberry Crisp… I like vintage and victorian style things and they seemed to work so well for those images…
Here’s to many more hits on your Blog!

  213. Heather Neidig

My friend hooked me up to your blog… I’m so glad she did… great ideas – I can’t wait to see more… keep em coming!

  218. Hi,

    Blessings,
    Darcie

  219. Congratulations on a fantastic milestone. I have just recently found your blog and have enjoyed it so much. Appreciate all your informative information. Thanks for the chance to win something super. Next new purchase has to be the Top Note Die!!!

  220. Congrats on your Blog achievement! Yippee
My favorite retired items are those in Cranberry Crisp, and Wasabi…
My new favorite would be the new scalloped punch.

  221. Congrats on 200,000 hits. I can see why you have that many. Your blog is great.
I love the new scallop edge punch.

  222. Congratulations! I just found your blog and I love it! As far as past products, I miss the InColors of 2006 I think it was with the Cranberry, etc. And the new favs have to be the new dies!! Awesome! Thanks for the chance to win some candy!

  223. Congratulations Mary! You know how much I love your site and I’m here umpteen times a day, lol!

The stuff I miss the most right now is some of the old background stamps. I didn’t get the Print Pattern and I am STILL kicking myself for it! It was one of those things where I saw it, thought I’d never use it and then I placed my last order as they discontinued it. The next week I started seeing cards with it everywhere and the kicking began, lol.

My favorite right now is the scallop edge punch. It’s perfect for jazzing up the edges on strips for candles and cards. It gives such a nice border and is so easy to use. I love the punches SU carries mainly for that reason, the ease of use. There’s nothing worse than mangling a beautiful piece of paper because the punch you’re using is so tough that you’re practically jumping on it with your hands. SU’s work with the tiniest bit of pressure and I love that.

    Congrats again!

    Nikki

  224. Heather Donahue

My favorite new item is the big shot dies. You can do so much with them!!
