RAK: My Friends

I'm so excited to share two wonderful RAK (Random Act of Kindness) projects.

S7302597-1

The first is a sweet card from Sandy, my dear virtual pal, whose talent is both artful and meticulous. TIP:  Sandy used Ballet Blue, More Mustard and Ruby Red card stock.  The images were heat embossed in black and colored with markers.  Both the arms and sunflower are popped up with dimensionals.

Is this round tin too cool?  Last Friday, I had a chance to meet Donna, from my Stampin' Pretty Pals (virtual) downline, who was visiting the Midwest from Washington.  We had a delightful lunch and she surprised Kris (my niece and also a "Pal") and me with these truffle filled circular beauties.  Do you recognize the Fabulous Flowers stamp set?

Thanks so much to both of you for your support and thoughtfulness.  This is whatSignature

  1. i want that fabulous flower set…shoot, now i want it even more!! they are beautiful!

  2. Love the scarecrow and the tin AND Jules “stuffed” comment. You are so fortunate to have friends that take the time to RAK you! Good for you Mary.

  3. Oh my goodness! Both projects are wonderful! Love the crisp, clean and color combo of Sandy’s card. Donnna’s clever use of the flower works Fabulously as the tin topper. Nice work girls! Thanks for sharing Mary!

  4. thanks for the speedy delivery of the mini! I wish i were loaded! LOL 🙂 question… do you have a preference in markers?

Hi Michelle: Thank you for your comment and I’m glad you enjoy the mini. I use and love the Stampin’ Up! markers on a regular basis. I have seen beautiful projects done with Copics, especially for the watercolor look. My current preference is SU since they are very easy to use, offer perfectly coordinated colors and competitive on price. I have learned to watercolor with them so feel like I have all my bases covered. Thanks for checking in. Hugs, Mary

  5. oh… I love the little scarecrow. He looks so cheerful. For some reason I thought he would make a great “thank you card”-when someone has you over for dinner. The inside could say…”I was stuffed” 😉

okay…it must me too late for me to be up!
