Guess who's this week's Guest Stamper for Taylor Van Bruggen's Cupcake Challenge? I'm simply tickled be chosen by a stamper I admire so much! Check it out!
I continue my cupcake brigade from yesterday, as a reminder that today's the final day (October 31) of Stampin' Up!'s Birthday and Aqua Painter promotions. Today's card models itself on Taylor's Cupcake Challenge sketch (TECC40) to the left and inks up the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. I'll post another cupcake card later today. Stay tuned!
I stamped the cupcake on Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze card stock (Chocolate Chip Ink). The Baja base and candle were pieced on the vanilla version. A little color accents the sprinkles and candle tip, created using a Stampin' Up! So Saffron Marker, Blender Pen and Baja Breeze Ink.
After running a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock through my Big Shot with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (hands down my favorite folder), I adhered the cupcake with Stampin' Dimensionals and matted on So Saffron card stock. Three designer brads from the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware Kit say "powie" in the 3 corners.
The vertical panel is a strip of Baja Breeze Textured card stock and the top horizontal panel is Very Vanilla Textured card stock. TIP: Textured card stock adds such a big dose of polish to any project. The 4.25 x 5.5 card base is Baja Breeze. "Celebrate" is from Fundamental Phrases and is inked in Chocolate Chip, stamped on So Saffron and matted on Chocolate Chip. TIP: Fundamental Phrases is my "little black dress" of sentiments. The lower background panel is a sweet So Saffron polka dot pattern from the Parisian Summer Designer Series.
The lower right sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Celebrate Everything stamps–Chocolate Chip ink on So Saffron Card stock. TIP: It's easiest for me to mount the circle on a Stampin' Dimensional first, before topping it with a delicious Vanilla Hodgepodge Label Holder. TIP: Many of the Styled Silver and Vanilla Hardware kit label holders coordinate with Stampin' Up! Punches. So cool. I used the 1" Circle punch to pop out my sentiment and tuck it neatly in place.
TIP: For a little fun, test your imagination by layering punches. I backed my label holder with a Scalloped Circle Punch in Baja Breeze. The possibilities are amazing!
